I would like to sincerely commend Abdur Rahman, who provided room service during my stay at Voco Hotel Makkah. I was staying in room 81107, and throughout my entire stay, his service stood out as truly exceptional. Abdur Rahman was incredibly responsive and attentive at all times. No matter the request, big or small, he handled everything with genuine care, efficiency, and a positive attitude. He always made sure our needs were fully understood and promptly taken care of, often going above and beyond what was expected. His willingness to help, calm demeanor, and consistent professionalism made a noticeable difference in our overall experience. What impressed me most was his readiness to assist at any moment and his ability to anticipate our needs even before we had to ask. He carried himself with kindness, respect, and a strong sense of hospitality, which truly reflects the high standards of Voco Hotel Makkah. I had a very pleasant stay at voco Makkah, and overall everything was excellent. The hotel is located on the main road, Ibrahim Al Khalil, which makes access very convenient. The check-in process was smooth and well organized. Mr. Faris at the reception was extremely helpful, polite, and professional, which made a great first impression. The rooms were comfortable, the staff were very supportive, and the cleanliness throughout the hotel was up to the mark. I stayed for 8 days with my family, and we felt well taken care of during the entire stay. I have also stayed at voco Makkah previously, and my experience then was equally good. During my earlier stay, the shuttle service was extremely convenient and available at all times, even during prayer times. The shuttle drop-off was at Clock Tower parking, which made it very easy to reach Haram. On this visit, the shuttle drop-off has been changed to Ajyad parking. From there, the walk to Haram is about 5 to 7 minutes, and the shuttle service stops one hour before prayer time. While the earlier arrangement was more convenient, the current setup is still manageable. Overall, voco Makkah is an excellent hotel with great service, cleanliness, and a prime location. I would highly recommend it for families and would be happy to stay here again in the future. Read less

The lobby and interior are absolutely beautiful, with a café and a mall downstairs, which made everything so convenient. Stepping outside to see the Clock Tower was such a lovely view, and the hotel is only a 10–15 minute walk to Masjid Al Haram with an easy and straightforward route. The breakfast buffet and dinner offered a great variety of options, and the food was genuinely delicious. The service was outstanding everyone was welcoming, helpful, and always happy to answer any questions. Room service was also excellent, with a separate menu and delicious food. It would be even better if there were more Lebanese food options ☺️ The reception staff were very friendly, and there is a shuttle bus every 20 minutes to Al-Haram Al-Makki.

Service was very good, room cleaning, room service everything was top notch. This hotel gives you facility of 5 star hotel in 2 star hotel prices. Economical with luxury. Shuttle is 24/7 direct from hotel to Haram and if you're comfortable in walking you can also go to Haram by walk especially in night time which is around 1.3 km. Pro tip: go to Haram 1 hour before Salah and comeback hotel after 1 or 1 and half hour later from Salah because right before and after salah shuttle can be too much crowded as we have experienced. Update: I have to update my review to reflect what happened after hajj, they decreased the number of buses significantly without considering the number of visitors still staying in the hotel, resulted in long waiting times for buses to come and waiting your turn or keep standing the whole time, this turned the movement to el haram to nightmare specially that haram gate is now shared with people of another hotels and you have to stay in same line with them. Although i was planning to consider the hotel for umrah later, but after this experience i will certainly look for another hotel near to haram as i can't guarantee the buses availability and timing. The hotel is very nice, rooms are excellent. Room service needs to be improved, it is the first time to stay in a hotel where i have to request room service when needed, and i have to specify what they are required to do, and sometimes when i request 3-4 actions, some of them are done and some don't. We stayed for 2 weeks with almost the same food everyday, but they started introducing new staff after 2 weeks. Read less

They don't even give a proper plates or cutlery to eat. Everything is plastics. The room is very small for quad room, the 4th bed is a folding bed and the pillow is so hard like a rock and the mattresses aren't comfortable, it's very difficult to sleep. The shower is horrible, no soap dishes or toothbrush holders. I have to used a plastic cup to put my toothbrush in. the water goes every where as its an open shower when you showered. The cleaners doesn't clean your room or the change your bedsheets or give you clean towels unless you ask them. The reviews on Google doesn't not seem accurate as I have seen many ppl complained about the hotel management. Do not stay in that hotel unless you are Indonesian or Malaysian ppl. Read less

The telephone wasn’t working in the alternate room they gave us and the washroom was very dirty. They don’t have a luggage trolly either to carry our luggage. They are extremely short staffed with just 2-3 bell boys. A 13 storey building but they have only 4 elevators that become extremely crowded during salah time and we had to wait around 10-15 min just for the elevator. There are better hotels out there so please spend your money wisely. Read less
