Stayed here for a whole week during Ramadhan with my parents! Highly recommend this hotel for a comfortable, convenient and accommodating stay. The location was close to the Haram, but steers clear of the rush of crowds going into the clock tower - a valuable perk esp at peak season. The GM, Hisham and his team were very attentive to our needs, were receptive to feedback and were proactive in ensuring we were cared for. The service team always had a smile on their faces, providing hospitality that makes you feel right at home. The food selection during iftar was amazing! Well balanced traditional Arabian food, a full spread of desserts - we absolutely loved that its always served hot, and is always well put together. Definitely will come back to stay here.

I recently stayed at Le Méridien Makkah for one night along with my wife, and overall it was a comfortable experience. The staff were welcoming and courteous. The room was quiet, clean, and comfortable, which made it ideal for resting after Umrah. All the basic amenities were in place, making the stay convenient and hassle free. We had suhoor on the 8th floor at around 1:30am, which turned out to be a great decision as there was no rush at that time. The variety was good and everything was well arranged and fresh. The hotel is about a 10 minute walk to Haram, which is manageable. However, guests should be aware that the road directly in front of the hotel closes during prayer times and may reopen up to one hour after the prayer depending on the crowd. This can make getting a taxi from the front difficult. Similarly, reaching the hotel by taxi can sometimes be challenging due to traffic and temporary roadblocks. Overall, it was a comfortable and pleasant stay, especially for a short visit with family.

Pros: -The location is excellent, close to Haram with a great view. -Hotel staff and management are generous. -Staff are polite and very friendly. -Check-in and check-out times are handled with high flexibility. -The food is delicious. -They offer a complimentary dinner, which is very tasty. .. Cons: -Although a large bed was advertised, it is actually smaller than described. -There is no smart TV in the room. -There is no parking at all — not in the basement, not in front of the hotel, and not even an open area nearby to park your car. -Even when ordering Careem or Uber, there is no proper place for the driver to stop and pick you up, especially if you have luggage. -The internet signal is not strong. -The price is slightly high. -The number of power sockets is not sufficient. -There is no place or hanger to put clothes inside the bathroom. -No hand shower is available — only the overhead shower.

My recent stay at Le Méridien Makkah was truly exceptional. From the moment I arrived, the level of professionalism, courtesy, and attention to detail demonstrated by the staff was outstanding. What impressed me most was the team’s responsiveness and genuine commitment to guest satisfaction. On the rare occasion that I experienced a minor issue, it was addressed immediately and handled with efficiency and care. The staff went above and beyond to ensure that everything was resolved promptly, always with warmth and respect. The overall atmosphere of the hotel reflects excellence in hospitality. The service standards, cleanliness, and dedication to guest comfort made my stay not only comfortable but genuinely memorable. I am sincerely grateful to the entire team for making my visit such a positive and unforgettable experience. I would highly recommend Le Méridien Makkah to anyone seeking a seamless and distinguished stay in Makkah.

From the moment I checked in until farewell, I experienced first-class service across all F&B outlets, including the Lobby Lounge and All-Day Dining. Hicham, the restaurant manager, stands out as a true hospitality professional meticulous, hands-on, and deeply attentive. I was impressed watching him guide and motivate his team during busy periods; this is exactly what true hospitality should be about, and sadly, what many hotels often lack. Although some of the outlets are not in pristine condition, Hicham made the experience unforgettable by focusing entirely on the quality of food and guest treatment. His courtesy and attention to detail alone make me want to return. I also want to highlight the exceptional service I received from Mohammed Baghdadi, the Rooms Shift Leader. Despite my original booking for twin beds, I requested a switch to a king-size room. Mohammed went above and beyond to accommodate my request, assigning me a room that was clearly renovated and in excellent condition, while the original room clearly needed attention. Spending just two days at the hotel, it became clear to me that Hicham and Mohammed are the true pillars of Le Méridien’s operations, seamlessly bridging F&B and Rooms. Their professionalism, attention to detail, and dedication make a stay here genuinely memorable. Adnan Alessa, Luxury Hotelier Expert

In short, anyone coming for the first time must pay attention to the air conditioning inside the buildings and public transport, it is too low considering that it is very warm outside, you enter inside at a modest 20, the hotel itself has a good location, certainly one of the best for the price they offer, (I mean the proximity to the harem because you don't have to pay for the bus), breakfast and dinner are very modest, unlike the European system, the service is insufficient, you have to call the reception even several times to replace towels and bring toilet paper (they are quick when they answer the phone), but considering the number of guests coming, be patient, you can always read the reviews before booking it.

I am currently staying at Le Meridien Makkah and very disappointed with the housekeeping service. For four days, my room was not cleaned at all. On the third day, I reminded the staff, but nothing was done. On the fourth day, after pointing it out again to the same person, he came within 5 minutes but finished the “cleaning” in less than 4 minutes while I was waiting outside. When I entered, I realized their version of cleaning was only changing the bedsheets. Tissues were still lying on the floor, empty bottles were left untouched, and the sink was messy with water all over it. For a hotel of this reputation, the housekeeping standards are extremely poor. I sincerely hope the management looks into this, as guests expect much better service during their stay.

One of the best Experiences this time at the Le meridian Towers Makkah.. the check in was smooth the bell boy was kind and soft spoken… the lift was always available in spite of the hotel being full booked… the room was serviced daily with vacuumed carpets and steamed washrooms…many incidences where the staff helped upfront .. there was a Saudi staff named HIND..always answers the first call and helped in getting my tasks fulfilled..

Exceptional Stay at Hotel Meridien Makkah – A True Benchmark in Hospitality I recently had the pleasure of spending a weekend at Hotel Meridien Makkah with my family, and I can say with full confidence that it was an experience of the highest standard in hospitality. From the moment we arrived, the reception team set the tone for our stay. The receptionist greeted us with a warm, genuine smile that instantly made us feel welcome and valued. This first impression was just the beginning of a consistently exceptional experience. The hotel’s location is unbeatable — just steps away from the Haram, in a lively, vibrant neighborhood, making it both convenient and uplifting. Our room was immaculate — perfectly clean, thoughtfully arranged, and equipped with every amenity one could need. The attention to detail in cleanliness and comfort was remarkable, ensuring a truly restful environment for the whole family. Room service was beyond outstanding — fast, professional, and always delivered with a friendly touch. The efficiency and courtesy of the staff reflected a deep commitment to guest satisfaction. The crown jewel of our stay was the restaurant on the 21st floor, offering a breathtaking view of the Haram. Mornings here were serene, enjoying breakfast in a space that is not only beautifully designed but also impeccably managed by talented and professionals Said, Hamza, Abdelalim and Mehdi and others, whose professionalism and gracious service elevate the dining experience. In the evening, the illuminated view of the Haram adds a spiritual and uplifting dimension to dinner that words can hardly capture. It is clear that the excellence of Hotel Meridien Makkah — from hospitality and facilities to service and atmosphere — is the result of visionary leadership. I would like to extend my sincere appreciation to the Area General Manager and the General Manager of Marriott Meridien Makkah for fostering such a culture of quality, warmth, and creativity. Your efforts are truly felt in every aspect of the guest experience. I wholeheartedly recommend Hotel Meridien Makkah to anyone seeking not just accommodation, but a memorable, heartfelt, and world-class hospitality experience. I look forward to returning and reliving this exceptional standard of care

5 star only name but definitely not 5 star hospitality hotel. The lobby was very small and crowded. The security was very rude. We are trying to buy some coffee in the restaurant but the security did not allow us to go to the restaurant so we end up talking without anything on the table. What asshamed .... Better change the name with 3 star local brand. NOT WORTH IT ...

AVOID THIS PLACE like the plague... we have booked 4 rooms here and it has been the absolute worst service from ABDUL RAZZAQ the manager and the entire service team not even mentioning the quality of the rooms which are horrendous definitely not 5 star! I have a disabled father who is wheelchair bound - firstly they don't give the right room - Secondly they don't replace for an accessible one which means for 4 days now my father has not been able to use the shower as its a bathtub which the entire team are aware of but absolutely do not care. DO NOT BOOK THIS PLACE YOU WILL REGRET IT

I think this hotel staff went above and beyond during our stay. We were here for about six or seven days during Ramadan 2025, and everything exceeded our expectations. The rooms were always clean, and the staff on our floor were consistently professional and helpful. They made sure we had everything we needed and often checked in to see if we required any assistance. The staff at the lobby were also extremely helpful and kind. One of the highlights of our stay was the iftar and suhoor meal that were included as buffet. It made our lives so much easier, and the food was genuinely delicious. We didn’t have to go out looking for iftar or suhoor spots. Tariq and Hamza working at the buffet were always very helpful. I can’t thank you guys enough for making us feel so comfortable. I can’t wait to come back with my family and stay here inshallah. Most important part is that Le Méridien made our stay during Umrah a very pleasant experience. This is very close to clock tower and walk to Masjid al haram is only 5/max 10 minute because of the crowd. I highly recommend this place. I myself will be staying here when I come back inshallah.

I stayed for one night, the room was freshly updated, they also provided with free dinner (nice touch!), we dined at the 21st floor - small restaurant but very crowded. The room is great, but bathroom needs more renovations with the smell The service is excellent, love the friendliness and very helpful with any needs! Smiles all around! Distance is best! Less than 5 mins walk to the Haram. Will stay here again.

I heard that some booked rooms were reassigned to a different hotel, which is highly unprofessional and very disappointing. Additionally, there were several issues with the service that made the experience uncomfortable: 1. Inappropriate behavior from waiters – Three waiters were excessively flirty. While I was dining with my little sister, they catcalled us, exchanged glances, and laughed among themselves. I expected this city to be a place of joy and peace, but this behavior was far from it. 2. Rude waitress – My little sister was eating and had paused to talk to our parents, but before she could finish, the waitress took her plate without asking if she was done. There was no courtesy, no confirmation—just an assumption that the food was finished. What’s worse, there was still food on the plate, which ended up being wasted because it was thrown away without any confirmation. This lack of basic service etiquette is truly disappointing. 3. Unprofessional cleaning service – While I was in my hotel room with my grandmother, a male staff member rang the bell for cleaning. I told him everything was fine and no service was needed, yet he stood there, smiling and staring at my grandmother without moving until I closed the door. My grandmother and I was scared. Then, on the day of checkout, I was already in a rush when he entered the room while I hadn’t put on my hijab. As I hurried to the elevator, he raised his voice to joke—at a completely unnecessary time when I was clearly in a hurry. This level of service and professionalism is unacceptable. I hope management takes this feedback seriously to ensure a better experience for future guests.

Staying here for five days was rather convenient, near Masjid Al Haram. The room indeed was pretty old but clean enough. The air conditioner was working well but the shower's hot water was not hot enough. The staff was friendly, food was decent not very special though. It was good enough for me. Thank you!

After reading many negative reviews, I was skeptical of staying here. But I was so glad that I did stay here for the reasons below: 1. Much more affordable than other options. 2. Very close to the Haram. 5 to 10 minutes walk depending on the crowd. 3. Clean room. 4. Prayer room option. 5. Good food. 7. Great customer service from everyone. Even though I was there from 24 to 26 of Ramadan, which means extremely crowded.... the staff was very helpful and polite. I am definitely going to stay here again.

The hotel is nearby Haram (5 min walking) but the rooms, beds, bathrooms, appliances, toiletries, hardwares, furniture and fixtures etc. are neither good nor does it satisfy the amount paid. The beds were very uncomfortable and the lights were kind of dim. The charging sockets were very few in number and I had to use the extension plug for the extra sockets. The rooms are very congested as the floor runs short. However the room service guys are good and genuine to help moreover the stay was also good because the city itself is a place of peace.

Ten minute walk from Haram. Beautiful views of Kaaba. The whole staff is incredibly helpful and goes out of their way to make you feel welcome and taken care of. The restaurant on the top floor is very good. Especially the cook who makes fresh omelettes in the morning and prepares hot pasta for dinner and lunch.

Great location. Haram is only a few hundred meters walk from the hotel. I was taking my mom in the wheelchair easily. Comfortable beds and clean rooms. The reception staff needs some training. When I was checking out from the hotel, my mom was thirsty and asked the receptionist if she can have some drinking water. The receptionist rudely replied they do not have water, you better get it from outside. And the fact of the matter is we left some water in our room when we checked out. Our whole good experience turned bitter, and we decided not to consider Le Meridien ever for our stays

The distance to Haram was acceptable...not that far to walk. The rooms were comfortable for 2 but the lifts, though there were six, but they were quite slow in waiting. The food I would give a 4/10...the breakfast menu were on repeat everyday which honestly bore us, thus we'd prefer having breakfast outside. Lunch and dinner were 6/10... bearable to eat but again very little of vegetable, except on the last day! Room service was 8/10...the staffs were hospitable and always asked permission before entering to clean our room. Traffic wise, since it is located by the roadside, it is 24-7 busy with passerbys and guests that checked in and out.

The location is good, very close to the mosque. Elevators during rush hours are insane. We had to wait +5 mins sometimes for the elevator. The food is really good, its very home-like flavors. The restaurant design is a bit weird like circular so the flow of traffic and people cramp it up really fast. I think the bedding needs to be updated, its a bit too sunken in. I think the staff needs to be also reviewed, housekeeping members should be able to communicate in Arabic, because this is mostly what people speak easily as the demographic is very wide and also in the older generations.

This was my second stay at Al Muna Kareem Hotel and I honestly recommend it to everyone. The location is amazing, just a 1–2 minute walk to Gate 339, and it’s on a really peaceful side of the mosque, which makes it so much nicer than being in the busy areas. The rooms are a good size, clean, and comfortable. Breakfast is amazing and fresh every day. The staff are friendly and helpful too, which makes the stay even better. A relative of mines had also stayed here a week before and had lost her gold jewellery. I went and asked the duty manager about it, and they were able to give it back to me. I was told they keep items for a year if you forget or lose them in the room, which was really reassuring. Overall, it’s a great hotel if you want something close to the Haram, peaceful, and comfortable. I will definitely be staying here again on my next trip.

Stayed in a Suite. Clean, Neat, Spacious and very Comfortable. Ambiance and aesthetic of the hotel was peaceful and relaxing. Under 2 minute walk to gate 339 of the Haram near ladies entrance. Close walk to restaurants and shopping amenities. All staff professional and hospitable. Breakfast Buffet had a large variety of fresh baked goods. Enjoyed the Live Omelet and Pancake Section.

Couple of minutes walk from gate 339, not far from ladies entrance. In a quiet part of the north east quadrant basically on the border of the first ring road. Currency exchange, other shops nearby. Hotel buffet is on level 2, food selection and temperatures ok. Hotel clean, bathrooms could do with a update. We booked two rooms via our agent, agent only gave us one reference number, despite giving the 2 x lead guest names, receptionists could not find the second room on their system which I found odd, I then had to get HCN numbers from agent to get both of our rooms despite both rooms being booked in my name and another family members name. Some language issues with receptionists as their English was limited. I was having date samples delivered and I asked the reception staff in english, have any date samples been delivered for room 109? Neither receptionist could understand what I was saying? They thought i wanted to book another date ! Lucky for us, there were Bangladeshi workers so I asked them in bengali and they said they put samples in our room. Hotel seemed clean otherwise, no pests were visible.

The F&B staff, including the Chefs were all friendly. I like the unique circular room structure, but the building is outdated and looks old structure so it cannot be rated as 5 star hotel it would be a 3 star hotel.

We had the pleasure of staying here just before Ramadan. GREAT location and easily accessible to everything. Rooms were clean and spacious and fridge was working! A great service by staff, Breakfast staff are amazing. The options for breakfast was amazing. Nice spacious restaurant. They also offer lunch and dinner which looked just as amazing. But didn’t realise until the end of our stay! But great food options for my young son also. Staff were very prompt and used the laundry service which was excellent for a small fee. Cleaning staff are amazing and helped empty bins when requested. It is a very well run hotel and would definitely stay there again with my family next time we come to Medina in sha Allah. Thank you for a great stay!

One of the worst experiences I’ve ever had. When I stepped onto the hotel room, it smelt of smoke, and you could tell the cleaners tried to cover it up with light spray. The smoke left over smells on all of the beds including pillows, even though there’s a sign on every door that has a no smoking sign. I have a family of 6, and we wanted enough for each, but instead 1 of the room has 3 beds, and the other has 2. Dust is left everywhere and there are prints of fingerprints and white stuff everywhere. Even worst than this, somethings you can’t even eat breakfast due to the amount of people and how sqaushed it is. The WiFi barely does anything even though in every room it says ‘enjoy free high speed internet.’ The only thing they actually care about is the look of the elevators, but they’re also really bad due to the smallness and how much people enter, with only 5 lifts available. I am very disappointed with this hotel, and the money was not worth any of it AT ALL.

Very good experience. When we arrived, couldn't find change anywhere for the taxi. When we asked the concierge Bilal he went asking local shops, when that failed he gave his own money and said to pay him back later in our stay. The receptionist were very helpful as were all the staff. The lifts are very well laid out which help make using them really quick without large queues. Taking into account the quality of most hotels in madinah. Muna Kareem was very laid out and designed really well. It was a 5 min walk to the ladies section and was very close to other amenities like the laundry services and shops. Would definitely recommend to others.

I’m someone who goes to top notch hotels such as Waldorf Astoria , Marriot Executive and even the Ritz! However this hotel came with a package going for Umrah , as it didn’t come with a choice and it was “5 stars†I had no issue. Little did I know , when I entered I thought that the reception was very small with weird blue lighting that makes it look like a fast food restaurant but that pales in comparison with the rooms and hotel service. Rooms had peeling paints with clashing colored walls that didn’t go together and bathrooms filled up with hair. Pillows (as you can see in the pic) are hard as if it had been stuffed with rocks , who is going to sleep on there?!? As I’m writing this review my neck is still hurting… Then we order room service for milk for my kid at 9:30… how can a bloody 5 star hotel tell you that they ran out of milk?!? On top of that they don’t have water at times and when you call them for the basic necessities such as shampoo or conditioner they come just three hours later WITH NOTHING IN THEIR HANDS!!! asking what I want despite me already saying it!! All staff members barely speak English and act so rude when you tell them you don’t speak it I would upload images but they don’t allow it P.S. the Wi-Fi sucks so make sure to buy a sim before entering or a mini Wi-Fi box

Very near to gate 339. Only 200 m/5 minutes to Nabawi mosque by foot. The bed was comfortable. The room is not too large. But that's fine since we spent most of our time in the mosque. The food was delicious. (-) the restaurant is small so we have to manage our time so we can get the table.

I had the best experience with this hotel eventhough for me, i think the room is smaller however the service is good. The staffs were friendly and helpful. Those in the front desk were also helpful. The distance from Masjid Al Haram is not that far from gate 339. Overall it was a good experience.

The rooms were well furnished and equipped, but the level of cleanliness needs improvement . The receptionists were so sweet and helpful especially Ms. Amar. The location is perfectly close to the Masjed. Two problems though, the elevators numbervand speed and the breakfast restaurants, do not accommodate for the number of rooms/guests of the hotel.

I checked in the hotel for next four nights. Was worried after reading the comments of other previous guests of the hotel. Yes, the breakfast place is absolutely not meant to handle all the guests in this hotel. All floors have twenty rooms. The hotel Ground, Mezzanine and 14 floors over that. It has four basement floors as well. Yes, the elevators are slow and not according to large number of hotel guests. The hotel is otherwise comfortable, the staff is good. Room size and the facilities are good. It is not more than 3 minutes walk from the Masjid e Nabawi.

A bit further away from Masjid Nabawi. Room is small and we can't even put 2 big luggages. Space is a bit tight. Toilet is not big but the bath tub makes it hard to climb for those with leg problem. Food is good. Menu change daily. Nice and clean hotel. A lot of shops outside of hotel.

We had a bad time the hotels rooms are very small when compared to the Online photos. Initially the staff were helpful but when we went to talk about the issues we had their attitude was completely different and didn't want to be helpful at all. When we asked to check out their response was come back tomorrow. They were not easily found.

Very beautiful hotel helpful reception and porter service is good, but beds were all single and we were a couple so we asked the reception and they sorted it out happily, the AC was working fine had hot water and provided with shampoo and body wash etc the hotel was quite empty when we went on 8th August 2021 so the lifts were always available too, distance from muna kareem to haram entrance (gate 339) for ladies is very near like a 5 minute walk or less I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone planning to visit madina al munawwarah.

Masha Allah stayed 5 days with no issue. Clean good service. Good breakfast, good decor and very good easy walk to haram. Lifts are a bit slow but understandable when its busy. 3 of us had a decent room and enjoyed our stay in Medina. May Ally bless you. Ameen
Slow service, rude response Not five star breakfast No sleeper, no toothbrush No king bed size Put in mind the hotel service is 3stars Good thing is close to the haram
A very good hotel in Al Madina Al Monowarh with a reasonable prices. It's location very nice.
Rooms are so small, even one cant open cupboard, no room sleepers, no iron, very congested cooridors, old bathrooms, old towels, highly non recommend
Well, a good place to stay. Its is normal and good for breakfast. The best thing at the hotel is the cleaning crew. Don't expect to have a parking lot open because they only have 27 spaces and it's always full and the car parking security is not friendly at all.
Great location close to Haram, There is no enough parking space, It needs upgrading on many criteria.. Hope the management will take that on their consideration.

Big rooms, comfy beds, great and quick service. 5 minutes walk to Harm. The only concern is the hotel parking design; one way in and out. As a control on visitors, there must be a smoke detection as we have smelled shisha and cigarettes around the room we are in.
Very nice. Reception staff very good.
overall good. Some of the receptionist are not cooperative. card keys got disconnected every day and i need to reactivate. Parking is very narrow and one entrance and exit.

Terrible terrible service, booked for my elderly parents, told they would be in a group with a guide Toyful, he was not with them the entire trip and they were left to figure it out themselves. We were told the guide would even be on same flight hence we booked that specific flight, he was no where to be found. We tried to book expensive package, were advised to book a cheaper one that had hotels further away because the guide said he would be leading that group and would be with them, this did not happen. Many lies were sold to us, wish we had just booked the expensive one. Do not trust these people. Would put zero star if I could.

Booked the deluxe 17 day non shifting package for Hajj 2023 through the Nusuk Hajj website. Alhamdullilah excellent service received throughout. Brother Tofayel was our allocated guide. He was an excellent & thoroughly experienced guide. Realised pretty quickly our mindset had to change, this isn’t like a normal holiday that you’ve spent a huge amount of money on. This whole journey is a test THERE WILL BE DIFFICULTIES IN HAJJ so be warned most definitely your patience will be tested you’ve have been invited by the Almighty to perform Hajj so go with zero expectations. Again this isn’t like a holiday where you spent thousands so you demand & expect an equally high level of service. Things will go wrong, travel logistics will change this is test on how you react when they do. You spend 15K then demand that Allah swt forgives all your sins at hajj. Even if you spent 100k your money would never be worthy of having your sins forgiven. Alhamdullilah changing my mindset to this ensured I had a Fantastic experience with excellent levels of service and attention to detail from Al Bait guests. Would definitely recommend.

We are doing Hajj this year and Hijaz is the partner Nusuk paired us with. I would highly recommend prospective pilgrims to avoid them. There is lack of accountability, communication and organization. I understand hajj poses a lot of logistical challenges due to sheer number of people but that is no excuse for leaving pilgrims in limbo. Just a couple examples: When our flight reached Miqat 20-30 minutes before Jeddah, the pilot announced that we had just passed the miqat point. People were shy to start the Talbiya (Labbayk) and the guides sit there like everybody else. Few minutes later, a passenger took it upon himself walking down the aisle saying Talbiya aloud and encouraging others to join in. When we were doing the umrah the first night we arrived in Makkah, the “religious scholar†they appointed to lead the group in umrah said we are going to offer Tahiyyatul Masjid salah before starting the tawaf which is exactly what many books and workshops I attended said not to do. He later was corrected by someone in the group. Due to lack of communication and planning, lots of people from our group missed staying the night of 11 DhulHajj in Mina and were stuck in Makkah hotels because there was no transportation arrangement. They waited until 11pm to let some people know an alternative way to get to Mina. Those who tried spent the next 5-6 hours trying to get to Mina. Also, instead of communicating these transportation options in the Telegram groups for everyone’s benefit they just announced it one of the hotel lobbies for anyone who might be there. People were desperately asking questions on the group and were ignored. They removed the ability to post text messages to the Telegram group chats in the middle of the hajj. Arafat was another story with many people passing out due to non working A/C in the tents. No transportation was provided on 10th or 11th of DH from Mina or Jamarat back to Hotels. Again, may be understandable due to logistical challenges but there were no communication on what alternatives are there until it was too late. On top of 15,000 we spent on the hajj package people had to pay exorbitant taxi fares to get to and from Mina. It is very clear to me that the guides are not good communicators and they don’t take responsibility. Looks like most Hajj related 5 star comments are from 2022 and because they issued a full refund when people could not go.

I went to Hajj 2023 with Hijaz Travel, and I’m posting a five star review specifically because of Sisters Azra and Salina, and Brothers Kabir/Toufayel. My elderly mother became extremely extremely unwell on Arafat and I knew that I had to get her all the way back to her Makkah accommodations as soon as possible. Not only did they take my mothers condition seriously, they waited with us for hours to make sure we could get back from this restricted area to Makkah. They were also kind and gentle with us the entire time. I will never forget especially how Sister Azra was there for us in our time of need.

Alhamdolilah Allah made possible for me and wife to perform Umrah thanks to Hijaz Travel last year in October. For someone who is from North Africa that speaks only Arabic and English my experience was excellent 10/10. Special thanks to Shabbir, Tofayl, Akheel, and the other Bengali brother who went above and beyond Masha’Allah. Going definitely with them again for either another umrah or Haj Insha’Allah. highly recommend. I was worried that because I don’t speak neither Urdu or Bengali that I might find it difficult to coupe with them but Alhamdolilah all went well and here is my experience: Started the process and once I provided them all the documents I was informed on every step needed or actioned by them. Very professionals Masha’Allah. Once dates were confirmed, a WhatsApp group was formed to keep those going up to date on each step. This was very useful as we kept using WhatsApp throughout the journey even after we arrived back to the UK. We had a plan every day and the leaders made sure their group was informed and kept up to date. Now there are few things I want to highlight to Hijaz Travel for the sake of improvement for the future Insha’Allah: 1- it would be better if in Mekka before starting the umrah, for everyone to have the same colour in the form of a bag or something so that the group wouldn’t separate or get lost and follow the leader/group. Some of the brothers like Akheel ( having orange bag ) and another brother ( sorry I forgot your name) who handed couple of green bags helped a lot when doing the Tawaaf as it was easy to identify everyone from the group. 2- when doing Tawaaf please bear with the sisters brothers and don’t rush. Some of the brother/leaders did stay behind to help the sisters which was very much appreciate it. 3- when doing the visits there was both Bengali and English translation but Bengali translation was more favourable. 4- because I was the only native Arabic speaking person in the group, I was approached few times by the hotel staffs both in Makkah and Madenah who raised few things that it bothered them. These are as follows: - when checking in/out please stay in group and don’t block the entrance. - when the bus arrive to pick the group, leaders should identify which bus it is for which group first before telling everyone busses are here! This caused issue as some of the group and staff had to put the heavy suitcases in the first bus, then they were told to remove it all and put it in the second bus. - shouting, arguing and fighting specially in Madinah. people in Madinah are very friendly and they are soft spoken. The hotel manager told me personally “ this is not a Wednesday market, people should not speak that loudly and shout over little things†5- this one is for the individual/group who are going for the umrah, yes I’m talking about you who are reading this review, please do not do the following when in Saudi: - when heading for visits ( Zeyarah), Makkah or Madinah the bus will make short/medium stops to rest or view the visit (e.g. Uhud mountain) the leaders will make it very clear how much time you are allowed to take e.g. 15/30 minutes, you will find people selling all sort of things and you will be tempted to buy few things for your family and friends which you are allowed to BUT do not make everyone waits for you! Just be reasonable. - you are there for a specific purpose to perform umrah/haj. Be prepared to be out of your comfort zone as you might be tired or sleepy and must push forward, please try to make all your prayers at the masjid on time and don’t miss any prayers and du’ua when possible. - buying gifts for family and friends are often cheaper around those visits places that you will attend so have a little bit of patience. - bring bottle of waters with you, backpack and some sunglasses You will thank me later - if you need to wash/dry clean your clothes there are plenty of places in both site who would do that for fair price Ask the hotel or you might see them outside your hotel giving cards. That is all from my end. Thank you regards Abdullahi

Very efficient. Very professional service. Good communication Sadly due to the new Hajj rules that came in very late in 2022, we were unable to proceed with our Hajj with Hijaz however they made the communications to us very detailed and also swiftly refunded the money without any hesitations. Many travellers and agents were effected by the new rules that Saudi introduced (the need to book directly with online system) however despite this set back, Hijaz communicated the situation with me and also refunded our deposit. I will use again for other travels in future inshallah
