We had an amazing stay at Swissôtel Al Maqam Makkah and could not be happier with the experience. The hotel has excellent facilities and is extremely well maintained. The staff were genuinely kind, professional, and always willing to help. A special mention to the concierge team, who were consistently helpful and made everything easy for us throughout our stay. Our room was cleaned daily to a high standard, which made a big difference in comfort. We were also very grateful to be offered a very late checkout at no additional cost — a level of flexibility and hospitality that was truly appreciated. Overall, this hotel exceeded our expectations. Very convenient location and very good service. Clean, professional and timely service. When you arrive, your luggage is taken and delivered to your room while you check in. Water, dental hygiene kits, quality soap, shampoo, body wash, hand soap, lotion are provided along with plenty of towels. Cleaners visit regularly to check if you need more water or for cleaning. Low speed wifi is provided. If dinner is not part of the package, it is available for a charge of 120 Riyals, definitely worth it because it is a quality and healthy buffet. Read less

This was my first trip to do Umrah and I was accompanied by my elderly parents. We stayed at the hotel for 6 nights the hotel is a great location for the Haram including having Kaaba views however there were a few things which can be improved. It is also worth knowing there are 2 lifts required to get to your room but the lifts are frequent but busy at times. 1. Our room had 4 beds was to solved in a day or so however no one came to remove the beds so we were very tight on space this was agreed at check in would be resolved 2. We had to ring housekeeping several times for them to bring towels to our room given room clean was not timely. 3. Even after requesting a room clean with the sign on the door no one would come so I would have to tell the housekeeping team I saw in other rooms to clean mine or call reception to get it cleaned sooner 4. I requested a staff member to send some zamzam to my room to which he agreed and it didn't come which is disappointing 5. The check in and check out process was not efficient as there was only 1 member on the front desk and therefore took a while which isn’t great 6. On check out we called 1 hour before we wanted to leave to ensure someone was there to bring our bags and no one came and also called again. In the end we had to go downstairs and only then someone came up with me 7. The breakfast process needs to be smoother by opening all 3 areas to make it easier for everyone the queues are very long and a lot of pushing and shoving which could be avoided. 8. The breakfast drinks are very limited and need to speak to the right people to request proper krak tea. The Moroccan supervisor was great I forgot his name and was very helpful to get us karak tea with milk. 9. When the food runs out on the counter it takes a long time for the staff to refill for example I was waiting for 5 mins for bread to be refilled Read less

Our room with a Kaaba view was beyond words—such a spiritually uplifting sight to wake up to each day. The shared mosque on P9 was another great feature, allowing us to pray in congregation with ease. I strongly suggest booking a package that includes breakfast or half board. The meals were varied, fresh, and perfect for families. What’s more, the pricing often covers two adults and two children, making it excellent value. A special mention to Mr. Mazen at the Front Desk—he made our stay even better. He’s extremely courteous, speaks English fluently, and always greeted us with a warm smile. His respectful and helpful manner really stood out. Mr. Adel at front seat while checkin was very professional, polite n humble with good command over English. Over all excellent staff in all areas. The hotel is in a big mall which opens into the courtyard leading to the grand mosque. Elevators that are common to the mall and the hotel are busy. The hotel has its own elevators that take you down to the haram which are less busy. The food is good. Fresh fruit choice is limited to only apples and oranges sometimes watermelon. The room condition was not satisfactory, especially the bed, which was uncomfortable and not properly prepared. Cleanliness and overall room setup did not reflect the standards I was expecting. One of the most frustrating issues was that there were no towels or slippers provided in the room upon check-in. When I requested them from housekeeping, my request was rejected instead of being handled professionally. This level of service is unacceptable, especially for guests visiting Madinah for a peaceful and comfortable stay. Customer service should be a priority in hospitality, but sadly that was not my experience. I hope the management takes this feedback seriously and improves room quality and service standards for future guests. Read less

Throughout our entire stay, no one came for room service or cleaning, and the washrooms remained dirty. The hotel had a drinking water dispenser on each floor, but once the water bottle was empty, instead of replacing it, they removed the entire dispenser. This meant there was no access to drinking water inside the hotel, and guests were forced to buy water from their canteen, which felt quite unfair and unprofessional for a hotel of this category. Additionally, the staff was extremely rude and uncooperative. Any concerns or requests were met with poor attitude and no willingness to help. Overall, this stay did not meet even the basic standards of hospitality and comfort. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a peaceful and respectful stay in Madina. Read less

Upon check-in, although the room had been cleaned, it had a strong, unpleasant odor that forced us to quickly drop our bags and leave in hopes of dissipating the smell, which unfortunately lingered throughout our four-day stay. The air conditioning unit was leaking water all night. When I reported the issue in the morning, I anticipated it would be resolved by the time we returned. I found myself having to guide him on how to perform his job. While waiting for the housekeeper, who took 15 minutes to arrive, I ended up cleaning the room myself using their mop. Additionally, the refrigerator emitted a foul odor that made us hesitant to open it even once. Overall, our four-day stay was a nightmare, but I felt trapped by my pre-booking and lacked the time to seek alternative accommodations due to my schedule and time constraint. next time i would rather delay my trip than booking such place. i wonder how Ministry of tourism is seeing it all. We booked this hotel for my sister via a friend residing in madina.The person standing at the reception took 4times higher rates from us and told that rates have been increased for Ramazan. We trusted and paid, then the booking slip provided by him was via an agency of Pakistan,and not showing the amount they took from us. When I asked about this issue. He said the voucher will be provided when my sister will reach there. My sister reached and Upon asking again and again.... They didn't provided us the booking voucher... The person who booked it was disappeared and the agent whose account was used for booking closed his number. Manager of the hotel was unaware and said that the room was booked via Pakistan... Not from reception. We found out the current rates and it was 4 times cheaper than the money they took from us on name of Ramadan. I will request all the people who are thinking to book it please beware of scammers standing at their reception. These people are not afraid of Allah, even in the holy month of Ramadan... We will never forgive them... In sha Allah they will be accountable on the day of judgment. The hotel was 1 star with extremely bad service and pathetic people there. I will tell you my experience with this hotel. I should come to the hotel on Thursday afternoon, but I couldn't because I stayed late in Mecca. On Thursday night I called the hotel to make sure the reservation was still valid. I pointed out that I was aware that I had to pay for the night I was not there. I spoke on the phone with a gentleman who, after receiving my reservation number, confirmed that nothing would be cancelled. the reservation would still be valid until my arrival tomorrow. The next day, Friday at noon, I showed up at the hotel and a very rude man told me that my reservation had been canceled because I hadn't made the payment. he told me that I could make a new reservation, but not at the price I had made through booking some time ago. A new higher price of course. We don't have parking, he said. That man is very rude in communication. I was extremely irritated, but it was Friday prayer time and I left for prayer for almost 30 minutes. After I returned again, Mrs. Jana was waiting for me at the reception. A completely different behavior, she made me a new reservation with my previous price, and did not include the night in which I was absent... She told me that they also had a parking lot but at a daily cost of 50 rials, great, I told her... I gladly accepted. But Ms. Jana did not bill me for parking for two days of staying at the hotel. They are incredible, kind, courteous, and possess excellent communication and people’s skills. Thank you! The hotel can benefit from more prompt reception, it took many of us 2 hours to get our rooms. When complained they kept on changing the cards but nothing was working. 3. Very nice hotel I liked it but there are some points to be taken care of. And this is why I gave 3 stars. The parking lot is very very tiny. American cars will be very hard to get in. The design (the engineers did not think of the big cars who are traveling to this place) is for small cars only. The other thing is that the rooms are little small. The room service could be better. The people who are cleaning the rooms will not care about the sign of do NOT disturb. They open up the door when you are asleep!!!! The last thing I want to mention is Tips..
