The hotel’s service was outstanding, the rooms were very clean, and the overall environment was comfortable and peaceful. The breakfast was delicious and well-organized, with a good variety of food. I would especially like to highlight Miss. Rahaf, the Customer Service Manager. She was extremely polite, professional, and caring. She checked on us several times during our stay and made sure that everything was perfect. Her attitude and hospitality truly made our stay more comfortable and memorable. One of the staff Mr.Khaled Mohammad Fayez was extremely friendly, polite, and professional. From the moment we arrived, we felt warmly welcomed. He was attentive, responsive, and always ready to help with a smile. The manager Mr.Ahmed Salama showed great leadership and personally ensured that everything was well organized and that customers were satisfied. Great value for money, is around 6-8 minutes away from Haram while charging half the price of hotels which are next to Haram. The location is the best point, small shops next to it and easy walk to Haram. The rooms are generally good and provided with usual sufficient amenities. Great hotel lobby and there are few more interesting things like an ice cream shop etc. Several lifts so never have to wait long. The rooms facing backwards towards hill get almost no noise Few negative points however - the hotel building is probably old and some small things require maintenance. That is why i do not think the rooms are at 5-star level. The quadruple rooms have 2 beds which are usually smaller but comfortable. They however make the room a bit congested. Overall i find it to be a great option for those who want proximity to Haram but also dont want to spend a lot on being closer to it. The reception staff was nice and checkin was quick. Completely Unacceptable Service – Never Again! We traveled with our entire family and had clearly requested rooms next to each other when we made the booking. This request was confirmed by the hotel in advance. However, upon arrival, we were given rooms that were far apart, without any explanation or apology. When we addressed this issue at the reception, we were met by a receptionist named Fatima – and her behavior was absolutely outrageous. She was extremely rude, raised her voice, threw our room keys at us, and told us to leave. Such disrespectful, aggressive, and unprofessional conduct is completely unacceptable in any service environment, let alone a hotel. We then escalated the matter to the manager, who was just as unhelpful and dismissive. Instead of taking responsibility, he defended the receptionist’s behavior and offered no support whatsoever. After much pressure, we were finally given the rooms we had originally been promised. However, from that point on, the staff continued to treat us with hostility. When we called to request basic necessities like toilet paper or bottled water, we were told we “had no right” to ask for anything – simply because we had dared to complain. Our clear impression: This hotel only treats certain guests – especially Arab visitors – with respect. Guests from the EU or Asia are treated as second-class. My advice: Avoid this hotel at all costs. There are many other places where professionalism, fairness, and basic human decency are still valued. Read less

Praise be to Allah who blessed us with the opportunity to perform Hajj. We stayed at Al Shohada Hotel in Makkah, and all praise is due to Allah — we were surrounded by comfort provided by all the staff, whether at reception, in the restaurant, or in room service. What truly made me happy, however, was seeing the hotel management present everywhere — from the reception hall to the restaurants — ensuring food quality and outstanding service, walking through the corridors to inspect cleanliness and how the rooms were being cleaned, and reviewing even the smallest details to guarantee the comfort of the guests. This was my first encounter with Mr. Mohamed Taha, who was personally checking the readiness of the rooms. When I asked one of the staff members about him, I was told he is the General Manager of the hotel — this increased my respect and admiration for the place I was staying in. For this reason, I wanted to thank all the hotel staff, and especially the management who trained their employees in the right way, so they treat the guests as if they were part of their own family. Thank you Mr. Mohamed Taha and Mr. Khaled Al Shanbari. I also won’t forget to thank the restaurant management — Mr. Nasser Abu Deeb, Mr. Ahmad Salama, Chef Mohsen, Chef Hatem, and Chef Adel. The room condition was not satisfactory, especially the bed, which was uncomfortable and not properly prepared. Cleanliness and overall room setup did not reflect the standards I was expecting. One of the most frustrating issues was that there were no towels or slippers provided in the room upon check-in. When I requested them from housekeeping, my request was rejected instead of being handled professionally. This level of service is unacceptable, especially for guests visiting Madinah for a peaceful and comfortable stay. Customer service should be a priority in hospitality, but sadly that was not my experience. I hope the management takes this feedback seriously and improves room quality and service standards for future guests. Read less

Easy straight walk. Room size: ok size with short size mattress for long height people. Washroom: Normal washroom with balti and shower, no separate washing area or tub system Facilities: store is available inside hotel with availability of fruits, tea and snacks. I recently stayed at Shaza Almonawara in Madina for 8 days, and unfortunately, it was a very disappointing experience. Throughout our entire stay, no one came for room service or cleaning, and the washrooms remained dirty. The hotel had a drinking water dispenser on each floor, but once the water bottle was empty, instead of replacing it, they removed the entire dispenser. This meant there was no access to drinking water inside the hotel, and guests were forced to buy water from their canteen, which felt quite unfair and unprofessional for a hotel of this category. Additionally, the staff was extremely rude and uncooperative. Any concerns or requests were met with poor attitude and no willingness to help. Overall, this stay did not meet even the basic standards of hospitality and comfort. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a peaceful and respectful stay in Madina. Read less

The experience fell far short of expectations; it was extremely disappointing, with unprofessional staff who seemed more focused on stacking guests and generating bills than providing quality service. Upon check-in, although the room had been cleaned, it had a strong, unpleasant odor that forced us to quickly drop our bags and leave in hopes of dissipating the smell, which unfortunately lingered throughout our four-day stay. The air conditioning unit was leaking water all night. When I reported the issue in the morning, I anticipated it would be resolved by the time we returned. Despite visiting the front desk three times, the problem remained unaddressed until around 11 PM, when a technician finally arrived to clean the unit, which had a severely clogged filter. I found myself having to guide him on how to perform his job. While waiting for the housekeeper, who took 15 minutes to arrive, I ended up cleaning the room myself using their mop. Additionally, the refrigerator emitted a foul odor that made us hesitant to open it even once. Overall, our four-day stay was a nightmare, but I felt trapped by my pre-booking and lacked the time to seek alternative accommodations due to my schedule and time constraint. next time i would rather delay my trip than booking such place. i wonder how Ministry of tourism is seeing it all. We booked this hotel for my sister via a friend residing in madina.The person standing at the reception took 4times higher rates from us and told that rates have been increased for Ramazan. We trusted and paid, then the booking slip provided by him was via an agency of Pakistan,and not showing the amount they took from us. When I asked about this issue. He said the voucher will be provided when my sister will reach there. My sister reached and Upon asking again and again.... They didn't provided us the booking voucher... The person who booked it was disappeared and the agent whose account was used for booking closed his number. Manager of the hotel was unaware and said that the room was booked via Pakistan... Not from reception. We found out the current rates and it was 4 times cheaper than the money they took from us on name of Ramadan. I will request all the people who are thinking to book it please beware of scammers standing at their reception. These people are not afraid of Allah, even in the holy month of Ramadan... We will never forgive them... In sha Allah they will be accountable on the day of judgment. The hotel was 1 star with extremely bad service and pathetic people there. I will tell you my experience with this hotel. I should come to the hotel on Thursday afternoon, but I couldn't because I stayed late in Mecca. On Thursday night I called the hotel to make sure the reservation was still valid. I pointed out that I was aware that I had to pay for the night I was not there. I spoke on the phone with a gentleman who, after receiving my reservation number, confirmed that nothing would be cancelled. the reservation would still be valid until my arrival tomorrow. The next day, Friday at noon, I showed up at the hotel and a very rude man told me that my reservation had been canceled because I hadn't made the payment. he told me that I could make a new reservation, but not at the price I had made through booking some time ago. A new higher price of course. We don't have parking, he said. That man is very rude in communication. I was extremely irritated, but it was Friday prayer time and I left for prayer for almost 30 minutes. After I returned again, Mrs. Jana was waiting for me at the reception. A completely different behavior, she made me a new reservation with my previous price, and did not include the night in which I was absent... She told me that they also had a parking lot but at a daily cost of 50 rials, great, I told her... I gladly accepted. But Ms. Jana did not bill me for parking for two days of staying at the hotel. The food which was being served in breakfast and dinner buffet was average. We stayed there for nine days but they were constantly repeating the dishes without much variation which was quite bizarre. The food lacks its authenticity and taste of the food is average too. They really need to pay attention to it otherwise it’s location and service is great. 1. To start with it was implied while booking that there is a free parking but SAR 150 being charged when went there 2. Check-in process was good @ 7:30PM. however when i reached the room, door lock card was not working. Although room was good. When complained they kept on changing the cards but nothing was working. 3. After 4.5 hours midnight 12:30 they offered me replacement room which was very very dirty. on complaint they offered me other 4 rooms but all were not matching to the one i booked. all are dirty. 4. Finally i have to adjust to a room even though it was not good. Because me and my family with 2 kids were exhausted. 5. Because of this experience, we could not have enough sleep and proper rest. The hotel staff are very friendly, especially Mr Mohamed who is in charge of the lower floors and Mr Sami who is in charge of the higher floors. They both made our experience exceptional. They are incredible, kind, courteous, and possess excellent communication and people’s skills. Thank you! The hotel can benefit from more prompt reception, it took many of us 2 hours to get our rooms. There is an issue with hot water in the hotel (water cuts off from time to time) and an issue with the elevators. Be ready to spend some time waiting for the elevator to arrive. Read less

From the ladies at check in to room service to other staff they all went above and beyond to make our stay memorable and comfortable. Location is great and loads of food places near by. Below are my observations, The parking lot cost is high compare to the nearby competitors. Most of the elevators are not working properly and efficiently. This cause delay for the customers. Very nice hotel I liked it but there are some points to be taken care of. And this is why I gave 3 stars. The parking lot is very very tiny. American cars will be very hard to get in. The design (the engineers did not think of the big cars who are traveling to this place) is for small cars only. The other thing is that the rooms are little small. The room service could be better. The people who are cleaning the rooms will not care about the sign of do NOT disturb. They open up the door when you are asleep!!!! The last thing I want to mention is Tips.. Everyone is expecting it.. Maybe I will give it a chance again if these things mentioned up are fixed.... Read less

What I didn't like is the narrow parking lot and how is very few. Another thing that bothered me is the electricity outlets in the room. The bed is big and comfy and the design is very hijazi region style. The air conditioner was a bit noisy. The receptionist was very friendly and had interesting chat with him and I checked early.
