I’ve had the pleasure of staying at Hilton multiple times, and each visit continues to exceed my expectations. The consistency in service, cleanliness, and overall comfort is why I keep coming back. The rooms are always well-maintained, the check-in process is smooth, and the staff consistently go above and beyond to make my stays enjoyable. I would especially like to recognize Monir Yousuf from the restaurant staff for his outstanding service. He is always professional, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. His positive attitude and attention to detail truly enhance the dining experience and make guests feel valued. We recently stayed at the Hilton convention in February, just before Ramadan. Let’s be clear- This is not 5 star by any means. Maybe a solid 4 star The positives are that the breakfast is great (at breakfast, Aktaruzzaman was attentive and lovely!). Also that the cleaning and food service staff are friendly and happy to help. The location is good ( just a small uphill walk that can be tiring but still very close) The partial view from our room of the haram was enjoyable. The negatives are; The main desk staff can often be busy as there have only ever been two available at a time- so it takes longer to be seen. They can sometimes be a-little rude. The phone in our room wasn’t working - I asked if it could be replaced but it didn’t happen. The iron wasn’t working but that was surprisingly replaced quickly when asked. The kettle didn’t work always. Some of our plugs also didn’t work in our room and made a crackling sound when used. Our room had some small bits that also needed fixtures like the cracked light shade in the bathroom or the tear in the lamp (maybe I’m being picky but if you call yourself 5….) Read less

The hotel is immaculately clean, peaceful, and perfectly located just a few minutes’ walk from the Haram – making it ideal for anyone visiting for Umrah or Hajj. The rooms are spacious and elegantly furnished, with breathtaking views of the Holy Mosque. The overall atmosphere is calm and respectful, which made our spiritual journey even more meaningful. We want to express our heartfelt gratitude to MD Parvez from housekeeping. He always greeted us with a warm smile and ensured that our room was spotless and well-stocked every day. His kindness and dedication did not go unnoticed. A special mention also goes to Yousef Abu Alqasim, a breakfast waiter who truly made our mornings brighter. We booked breakfast as well, and I must say there were so many varieties to choose from, and your plate was never empty. It was delicious. I also ordered room service for my son, who only has English food and didn't want to take him out to feed him, but me and my husband and I enjoyed our traditional foods outside. Room service food was a delight, and my son really enjoyed it. They also rang to get feedback, which I thought was very nice. My visit at the hotel was for 3 days and to be precise the view of the room was fantastic; we can go towards haram from the hotel itself on foot and there was not much issue with the room. The chick in procedure could take a while as for some new guests should confirm about parking is included in there stay or not. One thing that they should have done is there was no security guard to guide for parking in basement and there is a slope at the parking entrance which whole entering during the day is not much visible, I would like if the hotel came with a solution for that. Apart from one or 2 issues the rest of my stay was good. Read less

In addition, our deluxe view room also has a view of the Grand Mosque so that we can monitor the situation to make sure whether the call to prayer has been called or not. According to my family this room is perfect. The hotel service is very good, the staff is friendly, the breakfast is delicious, especially the Falafel which has a savory taste. In the afternoon and evening, we went to the lounge for Afternoon Tea and dinner. The dinner is very good, especially if there is rice. For the distance to the mosque, it is close but too uphill so the feet get sore easily. Basically, it's the best here! Read less

Absolutely amazing stay and brilliant service! In-detail review below: Check-In Experience 5/5 We were a family of 5 (Adults) and we checked in around 12.30am and the hotel lobby was quiet. Luggage was offloaded by the staff and taken inside and was told to check-in at the reception. Was greeted well and I provided by booking details to the receptionist. He was very attentive and answered any questions I had. As we had two rooms booked, he asked if we would like to have the rooms on the same floor. Paid the remainder of the rooms via credit card which went smoothly. Took around 10 minutes for the whole check in process which was very good. Rooms 4/5 Rooms were perfect and clean. We were given a 4-bed room for 3 of us which was ample. and a 2-queen bed for the ladies. View was partial haram which was good. Some amenities listed on Booking.com were not present such as the slippers and bathrobe but we weren't too concerned about these. Only given 4/5 for this because someone else might require these amenities and if they are listed they should be provided but weren't big of a deal for us. Also one out of the two rooms booked did not have any drinks or snacks in the mini fridge although the other room did. Laundry Service 5/5 Quick and efficient and offered us free ironing and folding which are usually charged. Could not complain about this service as it was perfect as you'd expect. Customer Service 5/5 Calls from the room landline were answered immediately and always helpful on the other side. All queries answered thoroughly. Shuttle Service 4/5 24-Hour shuttle is a good service to provide, however was not as expected as it only takes you to the flat part near the shops at the bottom. Does not take you the front of the marbled area of the masjid. So you still need to walk around 4-5 minutes to get to the marbled area. Sometimes takes very long to come especially in the late night hours between 1 and 4am. Read less

I was booked at the Double Tree Hilton Hotel and when I arrived in Makkah I was transferred to the Hilton Convention Hotel without prior notice or a letter stating that the hotel will be changed. I had to wait in the lobby of the hotel for three hours after a long travel trip under the pretext that my reservation information had not been transferred from the first hotel (Double Tree) even though the hotel had been booked a whole week in advance. I just want to notice that it will be my first and last experience of this bad hotel The rating on the reservation sites page and Google Maps will be poorly rated + never mention this place to anyone Regards , Read less

My stay at the Mövenpick Anwar Al Madinah was a mix of excellent elite benefits and some initial operational friction. Upon arrival, the check-in process was a bit complicated; the main reception was unable to process my request to use Accor Live Limitless (ALL) points for the booking, stating they couldn't see the option. I was redirected to the dedicated Accor member desk, where the staff eventually agreed to the deduction after consulting with colleagues. It’s a great property, but as a Gold member, I found that you really need to know your benefits and be persistent to ensure they are applied correctly. ​The logistics of getting into the room also required some patience. I was told the room wasn't quite ready and that I would be contacted as soon as it was available, but unfortunately, no call ever came. I eventually returned to the desk myself after the Asr prayer to successfully finalize the check-in. On the positive side, my Accor Gold status was ultimately recognized with a room upgrade, and the view from the room was truly fantastic. It’s a solid room product that makes the wait feel worth it once you are finally settled in. ​In terms of location, the hotel is well-situated, though it is worth noting for fellow travelers that it involves a slight detour to reach the Haram gates when compared to the more direct path from the Sofitel Shahd Al Madinah. While the walk is manageable, those prioritizing the absolute shortest distance might notice the difference. Overall, it’s a high-quality hotel with excellent views and strong status recognition, provided you don't mind navigating some initial communication gaps at the front desk. Read less

Overall, a very convenient place to stay. The check-in process was smooth and easy, and the staff at reception and checkout were very friendly, helpful, and welcoming. The location is definitely one of the biggest advantages. It’s extremely close to the mosque near Gate 327, literally less than a five-minute walk. There are also small stores right outside the hotel on both sides, and if you cross the road you’ll find food places and other shops as well. The room had all the basic essentials and was comfortable overall. We also had suhoor included in our stay, and it was very good with a lot of variety. Definitely recommended. They also offer paid parking at 5 SAR per hour, which is helpful if you’re driving. As for the downsides, the room key card system was quite faulty. The slot where you insert the card to unlock the door often didn’t work properly. It sometimes took many attempts to get it to switch from red to green, and I remember spending a couple of minutes just trying to enter the room. The housekeeping indicator and doorbell system were also not functioning properly. The standard has dropped a bit compared to before, but overall, considering the location and convenience, it’s still a good option for visitors. Read less

Alhamdulillah, our worship experience was very comfortable as the hotel provides very close access to the women’s entrance of Masjid Nabawi. I honestly have no idea how this hotel has a 5 star rating . It doesn't even deserve 1 star. Everything about the hotel is vintage , old , mouldy , broken , worn out . From the beds , bathrooms , towels , elevators it all needs to be renewed. It's so bad that i feel there is no hope , they need to demolish and build a new hotel . We had a very disappointing stay at the Mövenpick Hotel. Although it’s rated as a 5-star property, our experience felt more like a 1-star. We booked three rooms for the family and paid a significant amount, but the service and conditions were far below expectations. Some of the issues we faced: 1. The toilet had leaks and an unpleasant odor. 2. Reception staff were unhelpful, especially when it came to resolving a card blockage issue. 3. Chairs in the reception area were very dirty. 4. The porter (bagagiste) openly asked for money and gifts, which felt highly unprofessional. 5. We had elderly guests in our group who needed assistance, but when help was required, no one from the staff came forward. 6. The shower door was broken when asked the housekeeping to fix it no one came. Overall, we would rate this experience 1/10. We do not recommend this hotel and will certainly not be returning. The high rating (4.5 stars on Google) does not reflect the reality we encountered. You may wish to try it for yourself and form your own opinion, but for us, it was the worst hotel experience we’ve had. Read less

I had a reservation for two rooms: one with a large bed and another with two separate beds. However, when I arrived, the receptionist mistakenly gave me a room with four beds. I explained that it wasn’t what I had booked and asked her to correct it. After waiting for about 10 minutes, she told me she couldn’t do anything because many people were waiting — which left me feeling disappointed and exhausted. Luckily, another staff member who was sitting in the manager’s office noticed me and came over to ask if she could help. I explained my situation to her, and she immediately took care of everything with professionalism and kindness. She corrected the mistake and gave us exactly the rooms we had reserved. Her calm and respectful attitude made a big difference… even my niece was happy and excited to speak with her. Although I don’t know her name, I truly appreciate her help. She’s a great example of someone who respects her work and the guests, and she turned a negative experience into a very positive one. Thank you.. Read less

Very disappointed with the hotel. Definitely not 5 star standard. I would rate this hotel overall 3 star. The room space is very tight. Furniture is very out dated and looks tacky and cluttered. On arrival, floor looked dirty, like it hadn't been hoovered in so many days. Bed sheets were stained and pillow had a big boggie on it 🤢. The next day, house keeping came to the room. We asked them to do the usual cleaning and to change the bed sheets. We also reported the blocked sink. They quickly unblocked the sink, gave us some water bottles and toilet rolls then sprayed air freshener in the room and left. We had to call them back, and asked them to change the covers. The cleaners were not happy about this. They showed so much attitude like they did not want to be doing their job even though we we were so nice to them and did not even complain about all the mess and dirt in our room. This is not the kind of service we expect from a 5 star hotel. Read less

The flushes constantly stop working. maintainence staff doesnt show up to fix it. they expect you to stay in your room the entire day so they can do basic bathroom maintainence at a random time of their choosing. After starting the process from approx 7 am of complaining about the bathroom at 10 in the night i had a break down. Mr Khalid the manager was patronizing and rude. other guests had to step in to help with getting me some attention. important to note arabic speaking men spoke up because that was the only way mr khalid gave any attention. This by far has been a horrible stay. one comes for prayer and peace all i got was racism and sexism from mr khalid and his team. There are many more hotels in this area dont waste your spiritual journey by staying here. Read less

Bathrooms were having such a disgusting smell. Only cigarette 🚬 smell was keep coming everywhere. There's no towel in the washroom. Upon asking the Housekeeping team working in the corridors they said, what to do it's supervisor mistake he didn't check the room. Check in process was so time taking even though there's no rush. Only 1 person was ahead of us but the staff was so "lazy" and was not paying attention. Check in staff didn't provide us with the room keys / card and asked the bell boy to drop us to the room. Bell boy opened the room with the master key and handed over the same to us - upon asking why master key, he smiled and went out of the room. At the time of Check-out, the lady at the reception was shocked to see the master key and asked me how come I've that key - I explained all this to her. Other than its great location, I didn't find any single value for money about this hotel. If anyone from the management side wants to discuss more; I'm happy to share more as well. Read less

I could not gave more than 2 stars because of the following: 1- room furniture's are old and aged. 2- toilets seems poorly maintained. 3- During breakfast, the served orange juice was expired. I informed the staff at the restaurant two times few minutes apart and kept watching and waiting for their action to remove the juice containers but they didn't. 4- shower cabin was too small. 5- the hotel strangely designed for small size short Asian guests. I am not that tall guy! I am 190 cm tall. The ceiling height is low i could touch the ceiling while walking in the hotel corridors. I had to really bow down to open the door as the door knob is close to my knees. Toilet basin and commod were very low. Read less
