The hotel’s location was convenient and made getting around very easy. However, the overall stay was disappointing due to poor room service and housekeeping. The room itself was not well maintained and basic services were lacking. We had to ask multiple times for towels, and they were only provided two days later. Housekeeping also informed us that the hotel only had around 10 towels available for 40 rooms and just one iron for the same number of rooms, which explains the delays but is clearly not acceptable for guests. We arrived at hotel at 2am on 23Feb. We paid for the night on 22nd feb. We got a room on 23rd at 7am. 5 hours waiting in hotel. And the room We gt was a triple instead of what we booked a quad. Mansour the manager is nowhere to b found and all the reception staff abdullah , amira ect continue to say that they will fix room after next prayer well: they brought a 4th bed in a triple room. But the room is too squashed. Why can't We get the Quad room we paid for. And the fact that they gave wrong room and it's already 2 nights of the 6 night. Seems like they not willing to fix. Service needs a shake up. Bathroom cleanliness is bad. As the bathrooms don't seem properly cleaned. Guest relation did finally call aft 3 days to check if all OK. I recently stayed at Emaar Grand in Makkah and overall had a decent experience. The hotel is around a 10-minute walk to the Haram, depending on your pace and how busy it is. The walk is mostly flat, which makes it manageable even during peak times. There are plenty of grocery stores and food outlets surrounding the hotel, so finding essentials or a quick meal is very convenient. Taxis are also easily available nearby, which is especially helpful if you’re heading to Masjid Aisha. The hotel has a good number of lifts, but they can take a while due to the high volume of guests. The rooms are fairly basic, which is expected for a hotel of this standard, but they are comfortable enough for a short stay. The cleaning staff were generally very good and attentive. However, I did have to repeatedly request bathroom cleaning, which was a bit frustrating. I didn’t have much interaction with reception, so I can’t comment much on their service. They also offer a cleaning service for a fee, which takes a couple of hours. Overall, it’s a practical option if you’re looking for a reasonably located hotel close to the Haram with plenty of nearby amenities. Read less

Honestly had one of the worst experiences with staff at this hotel. We had 3 rooms and stayed there for a week. On my first day the receptionist Motaz Ahmed helped me in ensuring that all 3 of our rooms were on the same floor. After that all experiences with the staff were awful. 1. First the rooms handed over to us had no soup, no slippers, no iron, and no towels. Can you imagine walking into a room with all those basic things missing. We tried complaining but the phones didnt work. I had to go downstairs and they provided towels within a few hours and soup, the next day. Still no slippers and iron. 2. Next morning, the tables were sticky and dirty when we went for breakfast/sahour. The staff responsible for cleaning certainly werent doing their job properly. 3. After that when Ramadan started, I had to extend my rooms' stay and it was a nightmare. The people at the reception werent helpful neither was the reservation office. I had to go back and forth for 3 hours to finally get it sorted. Pathetic. 4. Lastly, when we were checking out and needed a bellman, no one showed up for 30mins. Eventually, I had to drag the trolley myself and get my bags downstairs for which they started asking me questions as to why I did it. It’s a nice hotel with good facilities and overall a pleasant atmosphere. But breakfast juices are crap. There were minor problems in bathroom but maintainace team sorted. However, one major issue I noticed is with the management. If you are not Arab, they tend to treat you differently — for example, asking you to sit in a separate seating area, even though we are all paying the same. This kind of behavior felt discriminatory and unfair. I hope the management improves in this regard, because apart from that, it could really be an excellent place for everyone. Read less

Assalamu Alaykum, Unfortunately, I did not enjoy my stay here. The two biggest issues for me were the food and the cleanliness of the room. The buffet looks endless but has no taste. Even the viennoiseries were disappointing. The elevator works well and is easily accessible, and I noticed that the hotel entrance—though a bit dark—is being cleaned regularly, which gave me some comfort. But the room itself was the biggest letdown. From the first moment I entered, it felt dirty. The carpet was not clean, the air was stuffy, and even the bottles of water had dust on them, showing they had been sitting there for a long time. The closet and chandelier were also dusty and not well maintained. To be fair, the bed was comfortable, and the room was spacious enough for three people. The cleaners are very attentive, the restaurant area for breakfast has a good variety of food and different food every few days. The room size is good and has everything you need, a hair dryer, towels and bidet. NEVER EVER STAY IN THIS HOTEL. The only hotel in the Emaar group worth staying is Emaar Andalusia. The rest are not trustworthy. I am inclined to give a one star review right at the time of check in. There are two towers of the hotel and only one deals with the online check in. In the reception there are four check in counters out of which two are unattended. The two functional counters are taking one hour per customer literally. There is a big cue but two counters are unattended and the two functioning are extremely extremely slow. Their computer software seems to be stuck. The deputy manager is relaxing on his computer and is rarely helping people. The hotel does not seem to have the physical availability of already booked hotel. The customers have to wait for very long in the check in lounge sometimes along with their children. Waiting time for an average customer is two hours. There were times when there was only one receptionist as the other one went out for fresh air for a very long time. Pathetic service. The hotel needs to be closed. Only one receptionist dealing with the long cue of customers and taking phone calls. No other person at the reception desk. The lifts are highly unsafe and dangerous. No sensors. Your hand can be squished if you squeeze in. The rooms are extremely small with no double beds. Not recommended to anyone. Read less

I recently stayed at the Emaar Grand Hotel in Mecca, booking a room advertised for five people. Unfortunately, my experience was extremely disappointing, and I cannot recommend this hotel to anyone, especially larger groups. The room itself was incredibly tight for five beds. We were practically on top of each other, and there was barely any space to move around or store our belongings comfortably. This lack of space made our stay very uncomfortable and frankly, quite stressful. Beyond the cramped quarters, the room service was also severely lacking. On multiple occasions, we tried to contact room service, but the phone simply went unanswered. This made it impossible to request basic necessities or address any issues we had. Considering the high price we paid for this hotel, the level of service and the size of the room were completely unacceptable. It felt like we were significantly overcharged for a very poor experience. If you are planning a trip to Mecca and require accommodation for more than a couple of people, I strongly advise you to look elsewhere. The Emaar Grand Hotel's cramped rooms and unreliable service are not worth the money or the frustration. Save yourself the disappointment and book a different hotel. Read less

The hair dryer in the bathroom has such low power that it will take you an hour to dry your long hair with it. The bathroom plumbing was horrific, whenever you run water you can smell of the gutter. I am currently staying here and as I am writing this review i’m waiting for maintenance to come because my room power keeps stopping. We have only been here for two days tonight being the third and i am just honestly so ready to go home, which is upsetting. 1) the rooms are decent sized, as far as i know. our room was for three people so there were three beds. Very standard. However, the windows are broken and you can hear EVERYTHING outside. 2) the toilet smells and is always 24/7 hot. It’s very tight and cramped. and once again like every other review we were only given two towels despite being three people. Normally hotels i’ve been to you get at least two towels per person the second one being a smaller towel??! 3) THE LIFTS. If you want clarity and a peace of mind please don’t even consider booking here! There are so many lifts but there are WAYY MORE people. You can wait for the lift for almost 1 HOUR 4) Lastly the distance. It’s not worth your money it’s a long walk and isn’t “5 minutes”! Frontbif house need better Customer service skills especially the lady at reception who when posed with a problem seems to uses gestures and arrogance as her way to deal with issues. The gentlemen and the service guys are very helpful and pleasant. Having stayed for a few days with several problems and then room changes this seemed to be common as many other guests had the same issue and same broken promises. For a hotel with ample rooms it seemed like they just couldn't be bothered. Broken telephones broken lights , lack of facilities and 1 iron to use amongst the hundreds of rooms and you won't get one for 3 days and even then you only can use for 1 hr, constant trips to reception but all broken false promises. The good things about the place is it is value for money and you could see that once upon a time it was 5 star but now pushing 3 stars. May Allah ease her life. The breakfast is good. The hotel is around 10-12 minutes to Haram. Room is big and toilet is clean.Aircond is superb. Wifi also very fast. Im grateful to found this hotel even is not like the nearest or higher star to masjid.. Its still a good and clean room. Also theres a lot of shop/food along the way to hotel from masjid. Booked a 4 persons room, it was terrible as the beds were laid out in a very awkward position that left no other space in the hotel room, we barely had enough space to open our suitcases. The hotel management in general is poor, they don't clean the rooms properly. Everytime we ask for water bottles they either only give 2 or don't give any. We had a minor incident where we needed to check the CCTV footage for our floor, it took 3 days for us to finally get somewhere with this. Hotel manager is rude and walked off as we were speaking to him. The reception staff again is incompetent and does not seem to care about anything. The switches are really strange as the sockets are connected to the lights in the room, everytime u want to charge your phone etc u have to keep the light on which is really really strange. The only thing that was decent was the food. Breakfast and dinner items are always fresh and they change the dishes they make quite often . This is a very good hotel compared to the other hotels in the vicinity. It’s located in Ibrahim Al Khalil street, about 1 Km walk from the Haram (about 15-20 minutes walk depending on your speed). I have booked a quad room. It was spacious, clean and doesn’t smell. It had street view, from the 8th floor, beds and linen were clean, bathroom was well maintained and clean. The room is spacious enough for the needs, there is a kettle and facility to make coffee, and there is a small fridge. Electronic card keys work fine with no issues. There is a small wardrobe / hanger for clothes. The single beds and mattresses are comfortable. I would give this room / hotel an overall rating of 8/10. The reception staff are friendly and helpful. Check in was almost seamless with no issues. It did take few minutes longer to check in more than necessary, but compared to other hotels in the region and previous experiences, it was really good. The room was not clean, the windows are not closed tightly, thus the sound of generators out of hotel was in the room 24 hours. They gave just two towels in total for two person. No hand-foot-head towels. I asked them for extra towel but they rejected. They did not even give a hand towel. Furthermore, on the second day, they knocked our door and said we should leave the hotel because our reservation for one day. We showed them the receipt and the reservation for two days. The man said we should contact agoda. Finally we convinced them. They were spraying pesticides on the floor when the guests are on the hotel. As a result, ı do not recommend this hotel. Rooms are not cleaned between guests. When I entered my room, the bedsheets and floor were covered with different types of hair. It was honestly disgusting. I was so desperate that I ended up paying one of the cleaners out of my own pocket just to vacuum the carpet. Amenities are barely provided you must pay for everything even water bottles. You get one roll of toilet paper, and that’s it. If you need more, you either have to beg or go without, despite paying a decent price for the room. The WiFi works a couple of hours a day very nice to reduce your screen time very bad bad if you go out of your bundel and need to top up. The photos you see on Google are completely misleading. They appear to be from the hotel’s opening, and it seems like no maintenance has been done since then. The only positive thing about this hotel is its location. Other than that, I would never recommend this place to anyone. I have stayed in many hotels across different countries, continents, and cultures, and this is by far the worst hotel I have ever experienced. I've noticed some comments criticizing the cleaning times and service, but I believe this is due to a logistical issue beyond the hotel's control. With large groups checking out and new ones arriving at nearly the same time, the housekeeping team has an incredibly short window to prepare rooms. This isn't a service failure—it's a scheduling challenge. Perhaps group leaders could better coordinate their arrival and departure times to give the hard-working staff the time they need to maintain their high standards. Otherwise Hell awaits their deeds. Reception: How a man in Medina just 50m from Haram be that Rude. Elevators: Rushy at Prayer times. Otherwise fine. Room: Too small for Quad Booking. U can barely walk in through beds. Carpet is hell nonsense. Dirty and Smelly. Furniture is very old and rusted Bathroom: Tiles broken, taps dirty. Shower area you have to stand still. House Keeping: By name a 4* category. By service just like a normal rest house in a third class area of some cheap country. They only come to make rooms for the upcoming guest and then they are non existent. Prices: Too high for such bitter experience (JUST HAD THE 1 GOOD THING THAT ITS JUST 50M FROM HARAM) But believe me there are 20 more good option in 50M distance from Haram. Worst of a Stay. The manager was apologetic, offered a full refund, and promised it would be changed by next year as all carpets and everything were very old. Worst Hotel Experience – Avoid This Place Our stay was terrible. The first room smelled awful due to the AC, which caused a headache. We were given an air freshener instead of a solution. After requesting, we were shifted to another room, but the problems continued. There was no room service, Wi-Fi didn’t work, the bathroom seat and shower were broken, and no quilts were provided. Shockingly, we found a cockroach inside the kettle—a serious hygiene issue. Only the location is good. Everything else is mismanaged, dirty, and not worth the money. Would never recommend this hotel. If we ask for cleaning, mineral water and soap and shampoo, and changing room equipment, they do it. There are several elevators, but they cannot serve quickly if the guests are overflowing. The rooms are reasonably clean, though not exceptional, but still comfortable for a short stay. However, the service, particularly at the restaurant, was disappointing. Breakfast was supposed to be available until 8:30 AM, yet guests were rudely asked to leave by 8:00 AM. A similar issue occurred during check-out—despite the official time being 2:30 PM, staff started forcing guests out by 2:00 PM. Most of the lifts don't even stop at the floor you are calling from. I had to access my floor via stair case with a baby in hand. this hotel deserves to go out of business . the most terrible hotel I've ever stayed at. i went there in January and there was no hot water, it was only room temperature. and when i complained about it they gaslighted me by saying no one in the hotel asks for water "that hot" i caught cold because of that. also they made a snarky comment that this is a 3 star hotel not 5 star, j was baffled by that comment like just because the hotel is 3 star i shouldn't expect hot water? there were hair on thr bathroom floor and the bedsheets, i called multiple times the reception kept saying they'll send someone but no one came. i asked to change my room they lied and said they were fully booked, when the rooms available sign was on outside. the tea kettle in the room was not working, i had to complain multiple times to get it fixed. there were tea bags in the room but no tea whitener and when i called to ask for it they rudely told me that they don't provide that. the entire staff was super rude all the time and acted like we were staying there for free whenever we requested or complained about any of the horrid things there. Lifts/ Elevators are bit crowded during prayers' time as expected but that too is professionally managed by the hotel staff. in offpeak time Lifts are smooth. Hotel is beside Anwar e Madina Movenpick on the edge of Masjid e Nabwi compound. Its on women gates side of Haram, men gates are around 250 meters walk on either side. Small cafe and grocery store at hotel gate and Bin Dawood around 100 meters from hotel. Overall good value for money. Read less

The worst hotel in which my family and I (four members) had ever stayed in our entire life so far, the workers deal with the utmost disregard, constant nervousness, and disrespect. The room had cockroaches and small disgusting insects coming out of the crack between the wall and the floor, and the bathroom had toilet paper about to run out with no spare, the cups were stained, the water boiler was rusted . So, we asked to change the room, and they sent us an employee to inspect, so they offered to use an insecticide while we're staying in the room, but we refused and still demanded to change rooms. Unfortunately, it took them a whole day to finally listen. When the worker came and asked us to take a look at the room before we do the move and we went with him to inspect the new room, he was very aggressive with us, and me and my sisters had to examine 4 rooms until we found an "okay" room to sleep the night as our flight back was scheduled the next day..Unfortunately, the hotel and most of the staff lack the basic hospitality manners, and I certainly will not repeat this experience again, and I do not recommend anyone ever to stay in this hotel Read less
