I would like to sincerely commend Abdur Rahman, who provided room service during my stay at Voco Hotel Makkah. I was staying in room 81107, and throughout my entire stay, his service stood out as truly exceptional. Abdur Rahman was incredibly responsive and attentive at all times. No matter the request, big or small, he handled everything with genuine care, efficiency, and a positive attitude. He always made sure our needs were fully understood and promptly taken care of, often going above and beyond what was expected. His willingness to help, calm demeanor, and consistent professionalism made a noticeable difference in our overall experience. What impressed me most was his readiness to assist at any moment and his ability to anticipate our needs even before we had to ask. He carried himself with kindness, respect, and a strong sense of hospitality, which truly reflects the high standards of Voco Hotel Makkah. It’s rare to encounter someone so dedicated and sincere in their role, and Abdur Rahman is a perfect example of excellent customer service. I had a very pleasant stay at voco Makkah, and overall everything was excellent. The hotel is located on the main road, Ibrahim Al Khalil, which makes access very convenient. The check-in process was smooth and well organized. Mr. Faris at the reception was extremely helpful, polite, and professional, which made a great first impression. The rooms were comfortable, the staff were very supportive, and the cleanliness throughout the hotel was up to the mark. I stayed for 8 days with my family, and we felt well taken care of during the entire stay. I have also stayed at voco Makkah previously, and my experience then was equally good. During my earlier stay, the shuttle service was extremely convenient and available at all times, even during prayer times. The shuttle drop-off was at Clock Tower parking, which made it very easy to reach Haram. On this visit, the shuttle drop-off has been changed to Ajyad parking. From there, the walk to Haram is about 5 to 7 minutes, and the shuttle service stops one hour before prayer time. While the earlier arrangement was more convenient, the current setup is still manageable. Overall, voco Makkah is an excellent hotel with great service, cleanliness, and a prime location. I would highly recommend it for families and would be happy to stay here again in the future. Read less

The lobby and interior are absolutely beautiful, with a café and a mall downstairs, which made everything so convenient. Stepping outside to see the Clock Tower was such a lovely view, and the hotel is only a 10–15 minute walk to Masjid Al Haram with an easy and straightforward route. The breakfast buffet and dinner offered a great variety of options, and the food was genuinely delicious. The service was outstanding everyone was welcoming, helpful, and always happy to answer any questions. Room service was also excellent, with a separate menu and delicious food. It would be even better if there were more Lebanese food options ☺️ The reception staff were very friendly, and there is a shuttle bus every 20 minutes to Al-Haram Al-Makki.

We have stayed 9 nights (4+5) during our stay in Makkah and we had a very good experience at this hotel from check in to check out. Rooms and washrooms were neat and clean. Service was very good, room cleaning, room service everything was top notch. This hotel gives you facility of 5 star hotel in 2 star hotel prices. Economical with luxury. Shuttle is 24/7 direct from hotel to Haram and if you're comfortable in walking you can also go to Haram by walk especially in night time which is around 1.3 km. Pro tip: go to Haram 1 hour before Salah and comeback hotel after 1 or 1 and half hour later from Salah because right before and after salah shuttle can be too much crowded as we have experienced. Update: I have to update my review to reflect what happened after hajj, they decreased the number of buses significantly without considering the number of visitors still staying in the hotel, resulted in long waiting times for buses to come and waiting your turn or keep standing the whole time, this turned the movement to el haram to nightmare specially that haram gate is now shared with people of another hotels and you have to stay in same line with them. Although i was planning to consider the hotel for umrah later, but after this experience i will certainly look for another hotel near to haram as i can't guarantee the buses availability and timing. The hotel is very nice, rooms are excellent. Room service needs to be improved, it is the first time to stay in a hotel where i have to request room service when needed, and i have to specify what they are required to do, and sometimes when i request 3-4 actions, some of them are done and some don't. We stayed for 2 weeks with almost the same food everyday, but they started introducing new staff after 2 weeks. Read less

Cons: -Entering the large SUV parking area requires a lot of attention — the entrance itself is quite difficult. -There is no shelf or proper place in the bathroom to put shampoo or toiletries. -No smart TV available in the room. -Breakfast has a large variety, but some items are repeated. -The price is slightly high. -I experienced an issue with my booking at the reception, even though everything was arranged and confirmed in advance. The food quality was outstanding with a wide variety of fresh and delicious options that suited everyone in our family. Everything was well presented, constantly refilled, and tasted great. It was one of the best hotel breakfast buffets we've had. What really made the experience special was the service. Captain Mohammed Rezaul was fantastic and incredibly attentive throughout our visit. He kept our table perfectly clean, made sure our drinks were always topped up, and brought everything we needed so our family didn't have to keep getting up. This is the very first time we book a hotel with Taiba hotel. Usually we always booked the front hotels near the ladies gates . This hotel is closer to gate 310 which is very near to roza rasool. So first point convenient. Second rooms are spacious and very new. Third service is excellent from front desk to room service. Fourth point breakfast have a huge selection and everything is excellent. And the morning staff under the manger MR. RAJA and his whole team is very professional and ready to make you pampered by there great service. One of the server MR. SHAB I have to tell about him was so caring and remember what we liked and what we want. They do have cafe also it's serve Starbucks coffee plus non Starbucks too. They do have room service for dining & i had great experience in it . Food was great. lady who worked explain what is the local brand & which one is there. Excellent service there too. Alhamdullillah we were able to spend four beautiful days at this hotel. Coming from the U.S., we were looking for a place with close proximity to Madinah for us and our family members and this place did not disappoint. We were able to walk back and forth to and fro to the masjid for our prayers and back. It’s a one minute walk to Masjid Al Manawara and right in front of Masjid Al Qamama (the masjid where Prophet Muhammed (ﷺ) prayed for rain. The service is amazing. The staff so hospitable, always giving Salams, and catering to whatever needs you need. Every day in Ramadan, they would have ghisr coffee and Sukari dates for all the guests. On Eid Day, they passed out roses, cupcakes, cake cookies, to all the guests. I loved the architecture of this hotel - beautifully designed - the elevator when the doors close ( inside) it has the doors of Masjid Al Munawwarah. The rooms are spacious,clean, and they have a water boiler with tea so you can have tea whenever you want. I highly recommend getting the breakfast and dinner at the hotel- it’s fantastically amazing! Fresh, with a variety of amazing choices and cuisines. I've stayed in this hotel for one night in a unit facing the ground mosque. The best thing about this hotel is its location, It's facing the mosque from the imam side. Which means that entering the mosque is much easier due to the smaller crowd compared to the hotels at the back of the mosque. The units are clean and well maintained, Especially that it is under heavy use all year long. I've been to more luxurious hotels, but they are not far off from what I've seen in this hotel.The restaurant in the hotel is good and the food choices are also good. Mild chlorine odour on water, especially if you use hottube. Housekeepjng team polite, dilgent and responsive but somehow not completed the job (i think this is management direrction, see below). Soundproof ness it was very good. Waterpresssure also good. Wifi internet speed good. Toiletries nearly completed but the housekeeping team not giving what it should, for example shavings kits, extra soap and shampoo (since the room occupied by 5 people, so you cannot only giving qty for 2 people isnt it?) Its also happened for th towel, tea/coffe/sugar, even you hide the water heater behind the cupboard , what a service.. just keep it out of the room if you didnt want your guests use it rather that hide it. Somehow management, please if you already take contract for accepeted Indonesian hajj guests, be full service or you may not take it at all. Yes, were not regular guest (umra) that only stay 2-3 nights. Yes we will not buying anything from Starbucks, or even your resto/room service, but yes we also giving tips for housekeeping team and make your occupancy high (even full) during hajj season, isnt it profit for your hotel? If I were to sum up my stay at this hotel in one word, it would be fantastic. The hotel location is very good, a couple of minutes walk from the Mosque. The hotel room was very spacious compared to other hotels that I’ve stayed in Madinah before. The staff was very nice, always on beck and call, always assisting us and catering to our requests like that of the late checkout. Hebah and Fatimah were both very accommodating. The hotel isn’t really modern, I didn’t really like the room and bathroom, but there isn’t anything wrong in particular. The hair dryer in the room i stayed in wasn’t working. The staff at the restaurant are not very professional, we asked to order from the in room dining menu instead of buffet for dinner. The guy was hesitant at first & then asked us to sit at the far corner.. weird.. it wasn’t crowded. the food wasn’t great either, bland, and they took a long to serve even the starters! And something wasn’t cooked, the spring roll i believe was still frozen, as as a compensation they served us fresh fruits after. Overall, i dont think i would stay here again. Read less

The collaboration of the hotel with Motawif as the organizing company voor the hajji could not be worse. I have never experienced a worse service level. People who have never met were put forcefully in the same hotel room. In all my travels I have never ever had such an experience. If you try to come to agreable understanding with the management of the hotel they point towards motawif. This is not in my view how a 5 star hotel should treat their guests. Read less
