Stayed here for a whole week during Ramadhan with my parents! Highly recommend this hotel for a comfortable, convenient and accommodating stay. The location was close to the Haram, but steers clear of the rush of crowds going into the clock tower - a valuable perk esp at peak season. The GM, Hisham and his team were very attentive to our needs, were receptive to feedback and were proactive in ensuring we were cared for. The service team always had a smile on their faces, providing hospitality that makes you feel right at home. The food selection during iftar was amazing! Well balanced traditional Arabian food, a full spread of desserts - we absolutely loved that its always served hot, and is always well put together. Definitely will come back to stay here. Read less

I recently stayed at Le Méridien Makkah for one night along with my wife, and overall it was a comfortable experience. The staff were welcoming and courteous. The room was quiet, clean, and comfortable, which made it ideal for resting after Umrah. All the basic amenities were in place, making the stay convenient and hassle free. We had suhoor on the 8th floor at around 1:30am, which turned out to be a great decision as there was no rush at that time. The variety was good and everything was well arranged and fresh. The hotel is about a 10 minute walk to Haram, which is manageable. However, guests should be aware that the road directly in front of the hotel closes during prayer times and may reopen up to one hour after the prayer depending on the crowd. This can make getting a taxi from the front difficult. Similarly, reaching the hotel by taxi can sometimes be challenging due to traffic and temporary roadblocks. Overall, it was a comfortable and pleasant stay, especially for a short visit with family. Read less

Cons: -Although a large bed was advertised, it is actually smaller than described. -There is no smart TV in the room. -There is no parking at all — not in the basement, not in front of the hotel, and not even an open area nearby to park your car. -Even when ordering Careem or Uber, there is no proper place for the driver to stop and pick you up, especially if you have luggage. -The internet signal is not strong. -The price is slightly high. -The number of power sockets is not sufficient. -There is no place or hanger to put clothes inside the bathroom. -No hand shower is available — only the overhead shower. I was impressed watching him guide and motivate his team during busy periods; this is exactly what true hospitality should be about, and sadly, what many hotels often lack. Although some of the outlets are not in pristine condition, Hicham made the experience unforgettable by focusing entirely on the quality of food and guest treatment. Despite my original booking for twin beds, I requested a switch to a king-size room. In short, anyone coming for the first time must pay attention to the air conditioning inside the buildings and public transport, it is too low considering that it is very warm outside, you enter inside at a modest 20, the hotel itself has a good location, certainly one of the best for the price they offer, (I mean the proximity to the harem because you don't have to pay for the bus), breakfast and dinner are very modest, unlike the European system, the service is insufficient, you have to call the reception even several times to replace towels and bring toilet paper (they are quick when they answer the phone), but considering the number of guests coming, be patient, you can always read the reviews before booking it. I am currently staying at Le Meridien Makkah and very disappointed with the housekeeping service. For four days, my room was not cleaned at all. On the third day, I reminded the staff, but nothing was done. On the fourth day, after pointing it out again to the same person, he came within 5 minutes but finished the “cleaning” in less than 4 minutes while I was waiting outside. When I entered, I realized their version of cleaning was only changing the bedsheets. Tissues were still lying on the floor, empty bottles were left untouched, and the sink was messy with water all over it. For a hotel of this reputation, the housekeeping standards are extremely poor. I think this hotel staff went above and beyond during our stay. We were here for about six or seven days during Ramadan 2025, and everything exceeded our expectations. The rooms were always clean, and the staff on our floor were consistently professional and helpful. They made sure we had everything we needed and often checked in to see if we required any assistance. The staff at the lobby were also extremely helpful and kind. One of the highlights of our stay was the iftar and suhoor meal that were included as buffet. It made our lives so much easier, and the food was genuinely delicious. We didn’t have to go out looking for iftar or suhoor spots. Tariq and Hamza working at the buffet were always very helpful. I can’t thank you guys enough for making us feel so comfortable. I can’t wait to come back with my family and stay here inshallah. Most important part is that Le Méridien made our stay during Umrah a very pleasant experience. This is very close to clock tower and walk to Masjid al haram is only 5/max 10 minute because of the crowd. I highly recommend this place. I myself will be staying here when I come back inshallah. I heard that some booked rooms were reassigned to a different hotel, which is highly unprofessional and very disappointing. Additionally, there were several issues with the service that made the experience uncomfortable: 1. Inappropriate behavior from waiters – Three waiters were excessively flirty. While I was dining with my little sister, they catcalled us, exchanged glances, and laughed among themselves. I expected this city to be a place of joy and peace, but this behavior was far from it. 2. Rude waitress – My little sister was eating and had paused to talk to our parents, but before she could finish, the waitress took her plate without asking if she was done. There was no courtesy, no confirmation—just an assumption that the food was finished. What’s worse, there was still food on the plate, which ended up being wasted because it was thrown away without any confirmation. This lack of basic service etiquette is truly disappointing. 3. Unprofessional cleaning service – While I was in my hotel room with my grandmother, a male staff member rang the bell for cleaning. I told him everything was fine and no service was needed, yet he stood there, smiling and staring at my grandmother without moving until I closed the door. My grandmother and I was scared. Then, on the day of checkout, I was already in a rush when he entered the room while I hadn’t put on my hijab. As I hurried to the elevator, he raised his voice to joke—at a completely unnecessary time when I was clearly in a hurry. This level of service and professionalism is unacceptable. The food I would give a 4/10...the breakfast menu were on repeat everyday which honestly bore us, thus we'd prefer having breakfast outside. Lunch and dinner were 6/10... bearable to eat but again very little of vegetable, except on the last day! Room service was 8/10...the staffs were hospitable and always asked permission before entering to clean our room. Traffic wise, since it is located by the roadside, it is 24-7 busy with passerbys and guests that checked in and out. Read less

I’m extremely disappointed with how this hotel handled my reservation. Due to the recent airspace closures in the Middle East caused by the conflict, my flight was cancelled and it became impossible for me to travel. This situation was completely outside of my control. I contacted the hotel through Booking.com requesting a refund for the prepaid reservation, explaining the circumstances and providing the context. Unfortunately, the hotel rejected the request without giving any explanation. Even more frustrating, they never responded to my emails and their phone line goes unanswered. What makes this experience particularly disappointing is that I never even had the chance to stay at the hotel. I was simply asking for understanding given an extraordinary situation affecting international travel. Ignoring messages and refusing to communicate with guests is not acceptable customer service. Based on this experience alone, I would strongly caution others before booking here, especially if your plans could be affected by unexpected travel disruptions. Read less

Extremely disappointed with the customer service. My flight was cancelled due to the current Middle East conflict and I was not able to travel for Umrah in this Ramadan. My hotel in Makkah understood my situation and refunded me in full despite a non-refundable booking. I was expecting the same level of courtesy and understanding from Valy hotel as it is supposed to be a top hotel in Madinah. However, they declined and when I gave them full details with evidence from Emirates on my flight cancellation, they did not even respond. I was hoping to try to travel again this year inshallah and would have looked at this hotel but after this experience, I will revert to Zamzam or other top hotels where I stayed in the past. As for the cleanliness of the premises, it is impeccable and a super good smell is diffused. We enjoyed the buffet, which offered a wide choice between sweet and salty. The staff is very caring for the clients (special mention to the buffet manager, Mrs Ward). The bakery section could be improved. The location of the hotel is excellent, but the gates of Masjid Al Haram for women are a bit far away. Read less

I visited Madina with my family after Umrah and stayed in Valy Al Madina. The hotel is close to Masjid an Nabawi, which is a couple of minutes walk away. Valy Al Madina is clean and kept to a very high standard with large rooms, ample buffet breakfast, including access to a shopping centre. We were especially pleased with Rayhan who would meet us every morning with a lovely warm smile. His caring and hard work ethics were evident not only in the way he carries himself but also his attention to ensuring our room was kept tidy and clean at all times. Greatful to have had such a lovely service from a kind and caring person who takes pride in his work and ensures comfort of his guests. As we depart we would like to wish Rayhan the best and thank him and his supervisor Mahboob for the great service. But Valy Hotel truly left me speechless—in the best way possible. From the moment I arrived, I was met with genuine kindness and exceptional service that completely changed my expectations. The hotel itself is spotlessly clean, beautifully maintained, and incredibly welcoming. Every staff member I encountered was helpful, polite, and always ready with a smile. We had lovely breakfast and dinner in the hotel during our stay. Breakfast had wide selection to cater international guests along with majority of Mediterranean cuisines. Loved 😍 wide selection of cheese 🧀. we met some lovely people like Mr. Mahmoud, Mr. Mohammed Shamim, Mr. Kamran in the mezzanine floor making our dining experience very comfortable and enjoyable. They were all very proactive and keen is understanding our needs and served us with great care and kindness. Will recommend Valy hotel to our friends and family in London. I think this hotel has a lot of potential if they fix some things. Wifi is incredibly slow and doesn’t work most of the time. The breakfast food was never hot for some reason and more variety can make it better. However, the only redeeming quality I found was the staff! The staff go above and beyond to make sure everything is provided. Housekeeping was so incredibly efficient and quick. I have to give a big thank you to M.D Shamim for being probably the best employee! We met him when we would come for breakfast. We noticed he was constantly working while also being so observant of people’s needs. My dad was struggling with the toaster and immediately Shamim came by and told my dad to take a seat and he would personally toast his bread and bring it to him. He knew my mom had a cough so he would bring her mint-lemon-honey water. He would continuously check in on us and bring us lots of tea or whatever else we needed! So if the Valy management is reading this you guys need to promote Shamim, he is way too talented and dedicated to not be rewarded for his work ethic. With such a great staff if the Valy management decides to fix a few things they could be a 5 star place. Read less

I had a wonderful experience at this hotel. The hospitality was exceptional, and I would like to give a special thanks to Mr. Jehad at the reception for his outstanding service. The hotel is conveniently located just a 3-minute walk from Almasjid, Gate 37, making it easy to access the main attractions. The room was fantastic, featuring new, modern furniture that made my stay incredibly comfortable. Iftar was another highlight of my stay – the variety and quality of the food were simply amazing.
