I stayed at the Anjum Hotel for 7 nights and had a pleasant experience overall. Muhammad Aala was an excellent chef who made my omelette perfectly every morning and even remembered my order each day. That personal touch really meant a lot. Room service was also great. I would especially like to mention Jamal Rahman on the 21st floor, he is a very hardworking young man and provided wonderful service. The hotel itself is good, comfortable, and well managed, though it is a bit far from Door 79 of Masjid al-Haram. Overall, it was a good stay. Read less

The stay from check-in was great and very helpful. They welcomed us warmly, took all our bags from taxi to carrier, placed them in our room, and arranged room exactly as we requested. The cleaning service is very polite and available 24/7. They clean even if you give them only five minutes while you’re in a rush they are always ready to help and make sure the room stays clean. I got ill during my stay and requested lemon with salt, and it always arrived within seconds. Ibrahem (Abu Amal), Chief of Staff, showed great hospitality. He always checked in to see if we needed anything and greeted us with a smile every time we saw him, he always seek feedback to ensure services are top notch , and that is highly appreciated and rarely found, he must be definitely a valuable staff member. The room had a great view of Masjid Alharam, and the breakfast had everything fresh and well prepared. Highly recommend. Read less

i am staying at the anjum hotel for 5 days today is my fourth day and before i even end my trip i can Wholeheartedly say it is the best And most convenient hotel to stay at The location is In an amazing place, meaning the views from the window are beautiful Walking to the kaaba To perform Umrah Is so fast and convenient, especially After performing when you’re tired and all you want to do is go back to your hotel. The rooms are beautifully set up beds are made every single day without fail. The hotel provides water tea, coffee, soap, shampoo, razors, anything you may need Including an iron, a hairdryer and towels they even have a safe to put valuables in. The cleaners are Mostly Bengali and are extremely respectful They won’t touch a single item that Belongs to you, which I find very important. I even left a shopping bag full of rubbish and they didn’t take it just in case it was something that belonged to me. They have a lot of respect For visitors. And have helped us out a lot, They regularly topped up our Waters etc. And I just think they make the whole Umrah process so much smoother. The hotels have many lifts, although the lifts are busy it gets the job done They have communal seating areas And shops on the bottom floor in case you need anything. The entire hotel is spotless Which is constantly cleaned throughout the day it is beautifully decorated And definitely worth the money. We had booked the hotel with a breakfast buffet that was also good. It had a quick sign in system and you was free to eat whatever you wanted. The waiters are also respectful helping whenever they can. The Food is generally good there’s a huge variety Which is good for kids and picky eaters. Front office staffs were not proffesional in handling guest c/i and c/o, took me more than 25 minutes in queue than I left and cancelling my extra bed request. Alhamdulillah my family and I had they opportunity to make umrah last week. We stayed in Anjum Hotel. Overall the experience has been wonderful. The hotel is of close proximity to the Haram. We booked a quad room and it was clean and spacious. The breakfast spread was luxurious. The only thing I wish the hotel would consider is to have shopping next to it. Good experience at anjum. The service is great, Housekeeping MD Taskin room 1121 there's a café with many options to eat from. The workers are also wonderful. One of the workers Shuaib, who works in the food service area was really nice, he made sure that we got anything we needed. Along side him was the breakfast manager Amjd, who is also kind and was helpful. The café on the ground floor is also a good place for food or for tea. I would highly recommend ordering the lamb chopps or the pizzas. The location is also wonderful , it's a 5 minute walking distance to masjid al haram. They dont allow to eat in other sections. And the Pakistani food is so spicy with same sort of food everyday. I had full board meal plan and literally got sour throat in just 3 days. The booking was for 8 days. Won't recommend anyone to book this hotel with food plan. Worst food discrimination and same spicy food everyday. No other 5 star hotel discriminates food this way, and dictate their guests to eat only in specific food section only. Read less

It has been a smooth experience with Anjum hotel. For me it’s the first time however my brother are regulars during the last 10 days of holy month Ramadan. The staff are very friendly and helpful. We had an issue with the booking however when we explained the matter the hotel staff were very considerate and understanding. I personally appreciate the housekeeping team Ma’amon, Mukhtar and their supervisor Kazi. They are very attentive, hard workers and friendly. Surely this hotel we will consider in our next visit. I am writing this review while I am at the hotel right now location is near the haram but you will walk a little bit to reach it as the doors are nearly 1 km away walking may be more but it may be the worst food I have had in any hotel I stayed in before. It is not about the variety it is about the quality of food even the bread you feel it is backed since a couple of days and the croissants is made of the same bread material Room service the worst thing in this hotel you must ask and call them a lot of times in order to have your request done even I asked the guy to pick the trash and left it for him outdoor and he was there doing another room but he left without picking it and you keep asking for new towels or any other default amenities you need The safe box is not working and they changed it 2 times till now and it is still not working Other Hotel facilities are good and the reception guys are helpful but they are the only ones here It is my 1st time in this hotel and it will be my last one for sure Read less

If you have confirmed your stay earlier they will treat you like goons. The worst side of the hotel is the location. You have to literally ride a 20 meter high road on the way back to hotel from haram. And trust me you would rather prefer walking 300 meters in the sun than this 100 meter steep road. Completely rubbish experience overall. I had my old parents with me. It was painful experience for them considering their health. Money down the drain. Read less

I wish there was a zero or negative rating. Check-in time is at 4, we arrived a bit early maybe we can check-in yet had to wait. At 4 the room was still not ready and staff working in the room. After all of that we entered the room that was extremely dirty nuts on the carpet, dust on tables and tissues on the carpet. One of the toilets smelled so bad as if it wasn’t cleaned. Beds are not comfortable at all. No slippers in the room. No bath robe for shower. There is a Nespresso machine with no capsules; if you don’t want to add capsules remove the machine. The fridge was empty, 3 or 4 water bottles were in the room. When I book a Junior suite at a 5 star hotel, I would expect more!! Read less

My Third Stay at the Dal Al Hijra in Madina. I have to say I can’t wait to come back. The staff were beyond excellent from the minute I walked in for check in super helpful. The guys also for the morning Sahoor again were just outstanding the food and options were amazing. It’s shame I can’t eat much in the Morning as I wanted to try everything. All made fresh the rooms were spacious and clean and 2’mins away from the Mosque. Just absolutely superb and can’t thank the team enough for making my stay perfect once again. The staff are incredibly kind and welcoming. The rooms are spacious, spotless, and very well maintained by the friendly and helpful housekeeping team. Breakfast was excellent with a great variety, and the breakfast staff were especially lovely — a special thank you to them for taking such good care of us every morning and the lovely coffee’s. Mr.Reazul, F&B in charge has taken great care of us from the beginning along with his colleagues such as Mr. Ibrahim at the restaurant who would regularly check to see if we needed anything when having our breakfast. The dining experience is truly grand with a wide variety of delicious items at all times. Thanks to the whole team for the great experience. I booked three rooms for myself, my children and my parents a full nine months in advance of my planned stay. However, 3 months before my trip, the hotel cancelled my reservation for no acceptable reason. Initially they cited a policy issue, then said it was a legal issue citing Hajj regulations and then stopped responding. I made several enquiries with travel agents and the Saudi consulate and they all confirmed there are no legal restrictions on visiting Madinah during Hajj season. The only restrictions apply to the city of Makkah. I also contacted IHG elite member support, and they sided with the hotel, repeating that it's due to a legal issue without providing any evidence or documents of the associated regulations. I just completed my trip on my originally planned dates and stayed at the Sofitel Shahd al Madinah instead. There was no legal issue that would have required the hotel to cancel my reservation - as evidenced by the fact that I was able to stay at another hotel during the same dates. I am a diamond elite ambassador member and it’s shocking and disappointing that this is the way I was treated. I contacted IHG elite member support and they refused to help and came up with a different reason for the cancellation each time I tried, and eventually stopped responding. I highly recommend the Sofitel in Madinah. It is closer to Masjid Nabawi than the Intercontinental and the staff and service are excellent. After many years of loyalty to IHG, unfortunately this incident has turned me away from them for good. Read less

We had a small issue with our first room but it was taken care of quickly and we were moved to an another room. Great laundry service, very clean and prompt, thank you Al Amin ! Our stay at the hotel was more than wonderful and excellent. InterContinental hotels in general are excellent, and Dar Al-Hijra Hotel in Medina in particular is my first choice for several reasons, all of which met my needs. The most important of these are: * Location, * The spaciousness and size of the suites (Royal Suite # 910), their cleanliness, and their fully equipped kitchen and a private room for the maids, * The availability of multiple elevators, including private elevators for the suites, which is a great help during rush hour and prayer times, * Cleanliness and organization, * Parking availability, * The friendliness and responsiveness of the staff. I would like to especially mention Ms. Iman Al-Ahmadi at the reception for her excellent service, kindness, and prompt check-in and check-out procedures. Thanks to her and to all staff. My friend and I recently stayed here and we both loved our time here. The service was absolutely excellent and they frequently like to check in to make sure that everything is going well for you. Complimentary fruits were brought upon arrival and were so sweet. The rooms and sheets were also all so incredibly clean. The only thing that seemed to be quite dirty was the curtains, but we barely touched those. The only other downsides of the room was that the walls were thin so you could hear neighbors all around you very easily, and the carpet and doors seem to be really old, so it's not the most aesthetically pleasing design. And as you go upstairs the air quality can get really Humid and damp in the hallways, but it's fairly well controlled in the room. Overall I'd still say this is a super reliable place to stay. Service was easily a 10/10. They helped us out so much from room service cleaning, to ordering from the restaurant, and front desk staff. The concierge employee, Mohammed Ali, was particularly helpful with getting us a taxi on our last day when we were running late and needed more time and support with catching our train. Overall we loved our experience and would definitely stay here again. Read less

On top of that, the service from start to finish was excellent. They really care about customer service and are striving hard to maintain high quality. Would definitely recommend! Room was excellent. We had suhoor and the food was excellent filled with various options including made to order omelettes and pancakes. Lots of variety that changed daily. The first morning we arrived, two of my kids were quite sick and we were dreading going to the clinic or hospital especially given how tired we were after 24 hours of travel. Luckily the front desk arranged for a doctor to come to our room and not only diagnosed but also administer an injection on my daughter and prescribe antibiotics. Read less

Very convenient location. We stayed five nights in one of the suits at the ninth floor. Overall experience was very good and we all loved it. The suit was very spacious but not at the same standard as in US. It needs some upgrades. But it was clean and live-able. The big plus was the breakfast and we all enjoyed all of the fancy choices. Getting a wheelchair from the hotel was no problem and we kept it for the duration of our stay. They hotel also arranged a private taxi to take us to some sites, and he was best guide ever. The staff behind the front desk were helpful and there was a nice selection of food for breakfast. However, the room keys constantly needed reprogramming so every time you needed to get into your room you needed to go to the front desk for a new key. This seemed to be a problem for multiple guests as there was often a queue of people wanting new keys. The rooms were also not very clean. The cleaning staff did not clean the room well during our stay either. We had to ask for it to be vacuumed, for clean cups/glasses and for fresh towels repeatedly. Overall I would not recommend this hotel based on the lack of cleanliness of the rooms. Read less
