The hotel’s location was convenient and made getting around very easy. However, the overall stay was disappointing due to poor room service and housekeeping. The room itself was not well maintained and basic services were lacking. We had to ask multiple times for towels, and they were only provided two days later. Housekeeping also informed us that the hotel only had around 10 towels available for 40 rooms and just one iron for the same number of rooms, which explains the delays but is clearly not acceptable for guests. We arrived at hotel at 2am on 23Feb. We paid for the night on 22nd feb. We got a room on 23rd at 7am. 5 hours waiting in hotel. And the room We gt was a triple instead of what we booked a quad. Mansour the manager is nowhere to b found and all the reception staff abdullah , amira ect continue to say that they will fix room after next prayer well: they brought a 4th bed in a triple room. But the room is too squashed. Why can't We get the Quad room we paid for. And the fact that they gave wrong room and it's already 2 nights of the 6 night. Seems like they not willing to fix. Service needs a shake up. Bathroom cleanliness is bad. As the bathrooms don't seem properly cleaned. Guest relation did finally call aft 3 days to check if all OK. I recently stayed at Emaar Grand in Makkah and overall had a decent experience. The hotel is around a 10-minute walk to the Haram, depending on your pace and how busy it is. The walk is mostly flat, which makes it manageable even during peak times. There are plenty of grocery stores and food outlets surrounding the hotel, so finding essentials or a quick meal is very convenient. Taxis are also easily available nearby, which is especially helpful if you’re heading to Masjid Aisha. The hotel has a good number of lifts, but they can take a while due to the high volume of guests. The rooms are fairly basic, which is expected for a hotel of this standard, but they are comfortable enough for a short stay. The cleaning staff were generally very good and attentive. However, I did have to repeatedly request bathroom cleaning, which was a bit frustrating. I didn’t have much interaction with reception, so I can’t comment much on their service. They also offer a cleaning service for a fee, which takes a couple of hours. Overall, it’s a practical option if you’re looking for a reasonably located hotel close to the Haram with plenty of nearby amenities. Read less

Honestly had one of the worst experiences with staff at this hotel. We had 3 rooms and stayed there for a week. On my first day the receptionist Motaz Ahmed helped me in ensuring that all 3 of our rooms were on the same floor. After that all experiences with the staff were awful. 1. First the rooms handed over to us had no soup, no slippers, no iron, and no towels. Can you imagine walking into a room with all those basic things missing. We tried complaining but the phones didnt work. I had to go downstairs and they provided towels within a few hours and soup, the next day. Still no slippers and iron. 2. Next morning, the tables were sticky and dirty when we went for breakfast/sahour. The staff responsible for cleaning certainly werent doing their job properly. 3. After that when Ramadan started, I had to extend my rooms' stay and it was a nightmare. The people at the reception werent helpful neither was the reservation office. I had to go back and forth for 3 hours to finally get it sorted. Pathetic. 4. Lastly, when we were checking out and needed a bellman, no one showed up for 30mins. Eventually, I had to drag the trolley myself and get my bags downstairs for which they started asking me questions as to why I did it. It’s a nice hotel with good facilities and overall a pleasant atmosphere. But breakfast juices are crap. There were minor problems in bathroom but maintainace team sorted. However, one major issue I noticed is with the management. If you are not Arab, they tend to treat you differently — for example, asking you to sit in a separate seating area, even though we are all paying the same. This kind of behavior felt discriminatory and unfair. I hope the management improves in this regard, because apart from that, it could really be an excellent place for everyone. Read less

Assalamu Alaykum, Unfortunately, I did not enjoy my stay here. The two biggest issues for me were the food and the cleanliness of the room. The buffet looks endless but has no taste. Even the viennoiseries were disappointing. The elevator works well and is easily accessible, and I noticed that the hotel entrance—though a bit dark—is being cleaned regularly, which gave me some comfort. But the room itself was the biggest letdown. From the first moment I entered, it felt dirty. The carpet was not clean, the air was stuffy, and even the bottles of water had dust on them, showing they had been sitting there for a long time. The closet and chandelier were also dusty and not well maintained. To be fair, the bed was comfortable, and the room was spacious enough for three people. However, the lack of cleanliness overshadowed everything else. For me, this was very disappointing, and I would not want to stay here again. Read less

The cleaners are very attentive, the restaurant area for breakfast has a good variety of food and different food every few days. The room size is good and has everything you need, a hair dryer, towels and bidet. NEVER EVER STAY IN THIS HOTEL. The only hotel in the Emaar group worth staying is Emaar Andalusia. The rest are not trustworthy. I am inclined to give a one star review right at the time of check in. There are two towers of the hotel and only one deals with the online check in. In the reception there are four check in counters out of which two are unattended. The two functional counters are taking one hour per customer literally. There is a big cue but two counters are unattended and the two functioning are extremely extremely slow. Their computer software seems to be stuck. The deputy manager is relaxing on his computer and is rarely helping people. The hotel does not seem to have the physical availability of already booked hotel. The customers have to wait for very long in the check in lounge sometimes along with their children. Waiting time for an average customer is two hours. There were times when there was only one receptionist as the other one went out for fresh air for a very long time. Pathetic service. The hotel needs to be closed. Only one receptionist dealing with the long cue of customers and taking phone calls. No other person at the reception desk. The lifts are highly unsafe and dangerous. No sensors. Your hand can be squished if you squeeze in. The rooms are extremely small with no double beds. Not recommended to anyone. Read less

I recently stayed at the Emaar Grand Hotel in Mecca, booking a room advertised for five people. Unfortunately, my experience was extremely disappointing, and I cannot recommend this hotel to anyone, especially larger groups. The room itself was incredibly tight for five beds. We were practically on top of each other, and there was barely any space to move around or store our belongings comfortably. This lack of space made our stay very uncomfortable and frankly, quite stressful. Beyond the cramped quarters, the room service was also severely lacking. On multiple occasions, we tried to contact room service, but the phone simply went unanswered. This made it impossible to request basic necessities or address any issues we had. Considering the high price we paid for this hotel, the level of service and the size of the room were completely unacceptable. It felt like we were significantly overcharged for a very poor experience. If you are planning a trip to Mecca and require accommodation for more than a couple of people, I strongly advise you to look elsewhere. The Emaar Grand Hotel's cramped rooms and unreliable service are not worth the money or the frustration. Save yourself the disappointment and book a different hotel. Read less

The hair dryer in the bathroom has such low power that it will take you an hour to dry your long hair with it. The bathroom plumbing was horrific, whenever you run water you can smell of the gutter. I am currently staying here and as I am writing this review i’m waiting for maintenance to come because my room power keeps stopping. We have only been here for two days tonight being the third and i am just honestly so ready to go home, which is upsetting. 1) the rooms are decent sized, as far as i know. our room was for three people so there were three beds. Very standard. However, the windows are broken and you can hear EVERYTHING outside. 2) the toilet smells and is always 24/7 hot. It’s very tight and cramped. and once again like every other review we were only given two towels despite being three people. Normally hotels i’ve been to you get at least two towels per person the second one being a smaller towel??! 3) THE LIFTS. If you want clarity and a peace of mind please don’t even consider booking here! There are so many lifts but there are WAYY MORE people. You can wait for the lift for almost 1 HOUR 4) Lastly the distance. It’s not worth your money it’s a long walk and isn’t “5 minutes”! Frontbif house need better Customer service skills especially the lady at reception who when posed with a problem seems to uses gestures and arrogance as her way to deal with issues. The gentlemen and the service guys are very helpful and pleasant. Having stayed for a few days with several problems and then room changes this seemed to be common as many other guests had the same issue and same broken promises. For a hotel with ample rooms it seemed like they just couldn't be bothered. Broken telephones broken lights , lack of facilities and 1 iron to use amongst the hundreds of rooms and you won't get one for 3 days and even then you only can use for 1 hr, constant trips to reception but all broken false promises. The good things about the place is it is value for money and you could see that once upon a time it was 5 star but now pushing 3 stars. May Allah ease her life. The breakfast is good. The hotel is around 10-12 minutes to Haram. Room is big and toilet is clean.Aircond is superb. Wifi also very fast. Im grateful to found this hotel even is not like the nearest or higher star to masjid.. Its still a good and clean room. Also theres a lot of shop/food along the way to hotel from masjid. Terrible service and hotel management. Booked a 4 persons room, it was terrible as the beds were laid out in a very awkward position that left no other space in the hotel room, we barely had enough space to open our suitcases. The hotel management in general is poor, they don't clean the rooms properly. Everytime we ask for water bottles they either only give 2 or don't give any. We had a minor incident where we needed to check the CCTV footage for our floor, it took 3 days for us to finally get somewhere with this. Hotel manager is rude and walked off as we were speaking to him. The reception staff again is incompetent and does not seem to care about anything. The switches are really strange as the sockets are connected to the lights in the room, everytime u want to charge your phone etc u have to keep the light on which is really really strange. The only thing that was decent was the food. Breakfast and dinner items are always fresh and they change the dishes they make quite often . The tables are cleaned frequently and food gets replenished every time it finishes. Read less

This is a very good hotel compared to the other hotels in the vicinity. It’s located in Ibrahim Al Khalil street, about 1 Km walk from the Haram (about 15-20 minutes walk depending on your speed). I have booked a quad room. It was spacious, clean and doesn’t smell. It had street view, from the 8th floor, beds and linen were clean, bathroom was well maintained and clean. The room is spacious enough for the needs, there is a kettle and facility to make coffee, and there is a small fridge. Electronic card keys work fine with no issues. There is a small wardrobe / hanger for clothes. The single beds and mattresses are comfortable. I would give this room / hotel an overall rating of 8/10. The reception staff are friendly and helpful. Check in was almost seamless with no issues. It did take few minutes longer to check in more than necessary, but compared to other hotels in the region and previous experiences, it was really good. We travelled from Australia with my sister and our family and stayed at this hotel for 5 nights on the 9th floor. At first, I was a little worried, but from the moment we settled in, everything exceeded our expectations. A very special thank you to Mr. Milon and the housekeeping team for their outstanding five-star service. They were incredibly generous, professional, and attentive throughout our stay. The room was cleaned thoroughly every day and kept spotless. They even adjusted the room orientation to suit my children’s needs without hesitation, which we truly appreciated. The location is perfect — only a 2-minute walk to Masjid Al Nabawi (Gate 326), which made our stay in Madinah so convenient and peaceful. We are very grateful for the care and service provided. His professionalism and kindness was really appreciated. The hotel itself was very nice, clean, and well-maintained. The location is absolutely perfect, just a 2-minute walk to Al-Masjid an-Nabawi, which made our stay even more convenient and special. We stayed on the 10th floor, and a special thank you to Nuru, Jjamam, and Anik, who were incredibly accommodating. They ensured our room was thoroughly cleaned and perfectly prepared for us every evening before we returned. P.S. We just wanted to kindly mention that we have been unable to locate a small green camera that belonged to our daughters. My family and I checked in Friday night and still in the hotel currently. The hotel itself is very near by within walking distance of Madina and women’s gate. Also near by shopping centers and restaurants. The hotel upgraded both of our rooms to suite rooms due to current room were too small for our family. These rooms have two separate rooms that have a door to make it more private. Both rooms have separate toilet but only one has the shower and these are srill good rooms. These rooms are all 10 rooms such as 610,710,810 and etc. The supervisor Hassan was very nice and we appreciate him a lot. There are some things that can be improved such as the tub showers that are hard to get in and out because of the hight of the shower tub. There are no handles bars to use to get in and out of the shower and some are missing shower curtains or glass door. It is bit difficult for my elderly parents but they are managing. The bell man and housekeeping team members are extremely nice and willing to help out as much especially if you treat them with respect and kindness. The gentleman’s from bell man Bakul and Zibon from housekeeping were both very friendly people. Just don’t forget to tip them because they do work hard and they are here to provide for their family. Treat them with kindness and you will see the customer service. So far we are enjoying our stay and inshallah when we come back to prophets Muhammad mosque we will definitely stay here again. In addition someone broke into our room and stole my wallet which contained both my credit and debit cards . When we reported this to reception they claimed no one had entered our room. This dishonesty was quite shocking and I’m very disappointed with their lack of care. After I reported this incident, my parents who were in the adjacent room also reported that someone had been in the room and left the door wide open. I would highly suggest that you don’t leave any thing of value in your rooms because there is a thief lurking about in Deyar Al Eiman. Read less

Once I reached hotel the watchman guided for the parking out side the hotel selecting as reserved parking but after 2 hrs I got penalty for wrong parking from traffic police. Once I told receptionist about the incident… his reply was “we are not responsible for what the watchman says because they are from some other company”. Totally disrespectful hotel receptionist…. Worst place possible, Everything more or less. Absolutely worse, smelling entrance, reception to begin leads to damaged elevators. This is just a location that you pay for, and you can get a hundred times better hotels and facilities elsewhere. Begin with the room, was given a birdcage apparently for triple room. They didn't even bother to take our the 3rd bed and instead tuck it under our bed which had it pointed out and would hit your leg everytime. Requested to take it out but was ignored. The washroom is possibly worse, the shower head was broken so the water would randomly flow, the toilet bidet head didn't work 4/5 times u press it.. the sinks are completely damaged. My wife got hurt on her head in the sink and we called the reception and requesting for first aid kit and they simply replied, they didn't have it and couldn't bother anything else, I had to take her to the nearby hospital. I've stayed in a better 2* hotel than this filthy place that they charge abhorrent amount. We stayed for 3 nights with 3 rooms.. we didn't have a choice and tried to ignore it mostly because we were out of the hotel most of the time, busy in our prayers. Will never recommend unless you have no other choice. Read less

We had two rooms booked, we requested a double bed as we have a infant but they didn’t accommodate for this. Rooms were cramped with just the beds and side table. Bathroom was small and in need of renovation. Rooms had a smell of glue used in furniture. The wardrobes doors won’t slide. Our room had a kettle but only socket to put it was either on the floor or by removing our lamp switch. We couldn’t use either due to infant, complained then changed rooms so we could use a kettle. One of the socket was faulty, when we plugged in it started causing short circuit. Rooms were not clean ! Cups were dirty! Dust everywhere ! Asked housekeeping to clean the next day and after several requests a guy came and asked what needed to be done ! It was utterly poor service. They folded dirty used towels that were on the floor and put them back on the counter. We knew this as they had blood in them. Because of them we almost missed our flight. It took them 40 minutes with 4 calls and 2 visits to reception to get our luggage down from 2 rooms. It was a very unpleasant stay, would NOT recommend this hotel. There are plenty of hotels next to this which are similarly priced or even better with better standards. Only positive was the location and the guy who helped us move rooms. Caused a lot of tension to our trip. Read less
