We had a very good stay at Makarem Ajyad Hotel during our visit to Makkah. The location is excellent and very close to Al Haram. We faced some problems with our travel agency in Morocco (Mekroy Travel), but the hotel staff handled everything professionally and managed to resolve the situation quickly, which we truly appreciated. Special thanks to Ryad, the Assistant Housekeeping Manager, for his kindness and professionalism, and also to Chef Charaf Eddine and the food team for the very good meals throughout our stay. The staff really made our experience comfortable and enjoyable. Highly recommended. Read less

So many reasons to prefer it over the elite hotels in front of the Haram. Firstly, it's a proper 5 star hotel, but not a mega sized hotel, therefore not crowded at all, extremely easy to get in and out of. 5 fast elevators, and I never saw any of them being overcrowded. The location is excellent, about 5-6 minutes walk to King Abdul Aziz gate. The breakfast was one of my favorites, lots of varieties, different types of breads, fruits and veggies, continental, middle eastern, south Asian, east Asian, so many different cuisines to choose from. The rooms were spacious and had amenities like iron, electric kettle, coffee maker, refrigerator. Bathroom was also spacious and had all the relevant stuff. Lastly, the staff and level of service was excellent. The response on our requests was rapid and efficient. Highly recommended. Read less

Special thanks to the housekeeping team for their quick and prompt response to all requests. Breakfast at the Zamzam Buffet was a highlight of my stay. The variety of dishes was impressive, and the service from the waitstaff was excellent. The dining area was spotless, and the team maintained a high level of hygiene while being friendly and welcoming throughout. The lobby was a bit crowded at times, but it’s understandable given the hotel’s prime location and popularity. Here's a review about my stay at the Ajyad Makareem Makkah hotel: I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Ajyad Makareem Makkah hotel, and I must say it was an incredibly enjoyable experience. The hotel's location is superb, with only a 5-minute walk to the Masjid al-Haram gate, making it extremely convenient for performing Umrah. The hotel staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, particularly Rofiq ,Tofazzul, and Saiful Islam , the housekeeping staff member, who stood out for his exceptional warmth and hospitality. I truly appreciated the service provided by Rofiq and the rest of the staff. The hotel rooms were also spacious and clean, providing a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere during my stay. The facilities provided were comprehensive and adequate. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Ajyad Makareem Makkah hotel and hope to have the opportunity to stay again on my next Umrah journey. The rooms are old, the common areas aren’t very clean, and the reception is chaotic—I waited almost an hour for my room. There’s no parking, the bathrooms smell bad when using water. At breakfast, flies are all around you while eating. For the high price, I deeply regret not choosing the Hyatt Regency next door, which looked much better for a similar rate. However, I would like to suggest that the management provide more staff to assist with luggage during check-in and check-out. When I checked out, I requested assistance three times, but unfortunately, no one came to help. This was quite inconvenient, especially for guests with heavy luggage. Nice staff, good service, room was a disability room and was very large with comfortable beds and good shower. Only downside was windows did not open at all. I should have never order from the room service. They mixed up order. Served me one item at a time. Please people order from outside or eat outside they serve you left over food from the night buffet, Bad and rotten food. Whomever managing this hotel have no clue on food and service. A very disappointing experience, in terms of looks and feel the hotel is nice. The lobby always smells nice when entering and there are several lifts to get you to the required floor. The biggest disappointment has been the actual rooms, the electricity has been deliberately wired in a way to make it hard for people to sleep or charge their devices. This means in order to have power to the sockets and charge your devices, you will need to keep the rooms lights on, obviously this makes it so uncomfortable after a long day in the masjid, you just want to come back and relax with just one lamp on and devices on charge to communicate with your loved ones. We also had several issues with our bathroom, with clogged shower & sink drain, and toilet flushing issues. To top it off we had some water leak in the bathroom from the roof, this had me worried as I did not know if this water is clean or not, and could it get mixed electrical wiring and cause a fire. This is clearly not a 5 star hotel more like a 3/4 star. The hotel chain should be ashamed of making things difficult for the guests of Allah, instead of making things easier. Electrical charging points should be a standard feature in any hotel chain, never mind one that classes itself as 5 star. The beds are smaller than expected, especially when compared to the single beds we had at Pullman Zam Zam Makkah. The location is great as it is only 3-4 mins to get to the masjid and is ideal for ladies as it closer to their entry points by gate 339. Unfortunately I would NOT use this hotel again, purely because of the deliberate inconvenience it has caused with its intentional electrical wiring design. Read less

The location was great, you cross the road and the woman’s gate is right there which was super convenient. Plenty of shops around for food/shopping. Breakfast was okay, could be better in terms of variety but not that bad. The hotel is easily accessible for uber which made travelling further out convenient. The staff were lovely and helpful. The property insists on payment even if you have the option of free cancellation after so many days claiming they don't have the option of getting the payment using the credit card. They agree to provide you with free parking and turn a deaf ear once you reach. Housekeeping people are dedicated to their work. The rooms don't have charger outlets and for those which are having lamps, if you put your charger it will stop charging once you switch off the lights. Ongoing noises coming from the AC vents, room door malfunction noise, water pipe bubbling from the toilet, it's like you are sleeping in a haunted hotel, once you go out of the room it looks good. The buffet was good, but not authentic cuisine, they had hummus which was not atlal authentic, seemed like you are eating something else . Like who goes wrong with the humus when the chef is arab . This hotel doesn’t deserve a single star. Very old furniture and beds squeaking every time someone moves. Bad smell in the bathroom and room wasn’t clean when we got there. Rather than changing the room the kept us 1 hour waiting. The only good thing is the location to Haram but better avoid it as there are plenty of other hotels in the area. Don’t be tempted by the pictures and the price. Not worth it at all. Read less

I don’t know how it’s called a 5 star hotel with a 3 star room and facilities. Breakfast was worst, milk was so dilute. They cleaned the rooms on time but that was only the good part. The washroom clogged with water and didn’t go for so long. Sheets had stains. Would never ever go here. Read less
