I am extremely disappointed with my experience at this hotel. After traveling all the way from Madinah to Makkah, we were already exhausted. Despite having confirmed booking email with booking ID the staff kept repeatedly asking for a confirmation number even though our booking ID was clearly shown. In most hotels, confirmation can easily be checked using passport details, but this hotel was not even willing to verify it that way. They kept insisting on the confirmation number again and again, which caused unnecessary arguments and delay. We were made to stand at the reception for a very long time after our long journey, which was extremely frustrating. Ramadan started just yesterday, and the suhoor issue happened on the very first day of Ramadan itself. Even after prior confirmation in our booking, they still questioned it, which was very disappointing during such an important and spiritual time. Overall, the service has been very poor. When we call for basic necessities, the response is either delayed or they say they don’t have the basic items available. The hospitality standards are far below expectations. Unfortunately, this has been one of the worst hotel experiences we have had. I would not recommend staying here unless there is serious improvement in staff behaviour and service quality. Read less

Absolutely Outstanding – Once Again! This is my second stay at this wonderful hotel, and once again everything was absolutely perfect. From the moment I arrived, I was welcomed with genuine warmth. Every staff member is consistently friendly, attentive, and incredibly supportive. No matter what you need, someone is always ready to help. The rooms are quiet and exceptionally clean. Housekeeping maintains everything daily with fresh towels, fresh water, and neatly made beds. It’s truly reassuring to know you can always rely on everything being in perfect order. The breakfast is another highlight worth mentioning. It is rich, fresh, and wonderfully diverse — from fresh fruits and vegetables to delicious, freshly made omelettes. The selection of beverages, both hot and cold, is excellent and offers everything you need to start your day healthy and energized. The breakfast staff is just as friendly and attentive, always ready to assist with anything you need. I also want to express my sincere gratitude to all the staff members. I felt completely comfortable and well taken care of throughout my stay. The regular shuttle service to the mosque made everything even more convenient and stress-free. There were some delays in check in which is a hassle because one gets late for Umrah the later the check into the room so they should definitely improve on that also the reception staff can be a bit more friendlier. One of the standout features of our stay was the Indian restaurant, where we enjoyed breakfast and dinner every day. The food was consistently fresh, flavorful, and authentically prepared. Each meal offered a thoughtful variety of dishes, rich in taste and beautifully presented. It was clear that great attention was paid to both quality and detail. What truly made the dining experience exceptional, however, was the staff. Every team member at the restaurant was warm, respectful, and incredibly attentive. They made an effort to remember our preferences, ensured we were comfortable throughout, and carried out their service with genuine hospitality. Just checked out of the Hotel. The rooms were great value for money and clean when we arrived and had a safe, microwave and kettle along with complimentary stuff. The reception staff was courteous and kind. The shuttle service was truly 24/7 and was the highlight of our stay. Going to and from Haram was made easy by the shuttles. One area of improvement could be the room service. They didn't check in daily and only came in when we asked them to. Also the cleaning quality was not up to the mark, however since we already kept our room clean it wasn't a big problem for us. But I have to mention that when I asked the helpline for an iron they promptly provided me one without delay. They also didn't ask for it back throughout the stay which is highly appreciated. We had a deeply unpleasant experience at Waqf Outhman bin Affan Hotel in Madinah. Shortly after check-in, we discovered blood stains on the bed sheets, which is completely unacceptable and raises serious hygiene and health concerns. After repeatedly calling the staff, the sheets were eventually changed, but no proper explanation or sincere apology was offered. When I raised the issue at the reception, the response was dismissive and uninterested. Escalating the matter to management made no difference. Unfortunately, the way the situation was handled left us feeling that, as Indian guests, our concerns were not given the same importance or respect as those of other guests, which added to the distress of an already unacceptable hygiene issue. What made the experience even more upsetting was that housekeeping attempted to shift the blame onto us, rather than acknowledging their failure. Even after informing the staff that we would be posting this experience online, there was no change in attitude or urgency, which suggested a troubling level of indifference to guest feedback. To make matters worse, the only form of “compensation” offered was a few bottles of water, which felt inappropriate and insulting given the seriousness of the situation. In a city like Madinah, where hospitality, cleanliness, and respect for guests—especially pilgrims—should be upheld at the highest standards, this experience was extremely disappointing. Clean bed sheets are the most basic expectation of any hotel, and failing at this level raises serious concerns about overall hygiene and management practices. We had a very bad experience at this property, especially since we were traveling with toddlers. When we were given our room, the bed was full of dirty hair. It was extremely unhygienic and clearly showed that the room had not been cleaned properly. We immediately complained to the staff, but nothing was done for four hours. Traveling with small children, waiting that long in a dirty room was extremely stressful and unacceptable. What made the situation even worse was the poor complaint-handling process. If you complain to one staff member, that person changes after a few hours, and then you have to go through the entire process of explaining the issue again to someone new. There was no proper handover, no follow-up, and no sense of responsibility. Additionally, there were no blankets provided in the toilet/bathroom, and one of the rooms had a toilet that was not working at all, which caused major inconvenience. Overall, the rooms looked dirty, poorly maintained, and completely unsuitable for families, especially those with toddlers. The lack of cleanliness, slow response, broken facilities, and disorganized staff made this stay very unpleasant. We would not recommend this place to anyone, particularly families with young children. Read less

The most disorganised hotel I have ever been to. At check in I could hear other guests complain about issues they were having with their check in/check out date. This continued to be a theme in the following days. We were assigned a room but when we got there we found that the room was already occupied. With 3 kids in tow this was not a slight inconvenience. This took 30 minutes if not longer to fix. The rooms were falling apart. Curtains hanging off the rail. The door looked as if it had been attacked by a wild animal. Carpets that felt dirty and unclean. No hand towels on the railing. The toilet door stiff to the extent we had to use our whole body strength to open it. The beds too high for our children to climb on to. The pillows so high and hard we all left with neck cramps. The day after we checked in we were told we were expected to check out. This seemed to be an ongoing theme. Nearly every day we were told to check out despite clarifying the day before our check out date. The best part of the stay was the efforts of the hard working Bangladeshi staff who tried the best to accommodate us. The location wasn’t too bad closer to the women’s entrance of Masjid Nabawi but so were lots of rather hotels. Stay at one of them and save yourself a headache. Read less

I stayed at this hotel for 4 days December during Umrah, and unfortunately, it was a truly disappointing experience, despite the hotel having a lot of potential and it was too late to cancel I did see the negative reviews and didn’t believe it at first. The building itself is dated, but the room sizes are large and the location is good—only about a 5-minute walk from Gate 326 of the Prophet’s Mosque. However, these positives were outweighed by poor housekeeping and management. On the first day of arrival, we were given two adjoining rooms. In both rooms, the fridge was broken, the safe did not work, and the TV was not functioning. After repeated complaints, they eventually fixed one fridge and the safe, and later the TV. This should not happen at check-in. Cleanliness was a major issue. The floors were dirty, the carpets were not clean, and it honestly seemed like vacuuming or proper cleaning was not practiced at all. I never saw any housekeeping equipment such as a vacuum. Towels and toilet paper were not replenished unless we complained—basic amenities that should be standard in any hotel. Beds were not changed until we raised the issue. We were told that housekeeping is not allowed to enter rooms when guests are not present, which meant nothing was done unless we were physically there and repeatedly asked. Bottled water was also not provided unless we complained again. Throughout the stay, I had to constantly call reception just to get basic services done. This is the first hotel I have ever stayed in where you have to ask for your room to be cleaned. The main problem appears to be housekeeping. The staff were mostly young boys who seemed uninterested, careless, and in some cases rude. Whether they are overworked or underpaid, it clearly reflects in their attitude and performance. When I questioned one staff member about the lack of cleaning, the response was dismissive and unprofessional. In addition, the hotel urgently needs to invest in better-quality linen, duvets, and pillows, as the ones provided were worn out and uncomfortable, which further affected the quality of our stay. Last year, we stayed at Mysk Touch, not far from this hotel, and the difference was night and day—excellent housekeeping, polite staff, and proper management. This hotel needs better training, improved staff manners, stricter supervision, and a manager who actively checks that housekeeping standards are being met. It is a real shame, because with proper management and cleanliness, this hotel could be a very good place to stay. Unfortunately, due to our experience, I would not stay here again. Read less

I’m really disappointed with my experience at this hotel. My brother forgot his key card, so I brought it with me while I was out. When he couldn’t reach me, he went to reception to ask for another key — but they refused to give him one. Instead, they just went up and opened the door for him. This felt humiliating — after paying nearly £100 per night, you’d expect a bit more consideration and basic service. On top of that, the room’s electricity only works when the key card is in the slot, which meant my brother had no power while waiting for me and had to rely on a portable charger. The water pressure in the bathroom was also extremely low, making it hard to take a proper shower. For the price we’re paying, this kind of lack of consideration and inconvenience is unacceptable. The cleaners and other staff were really nice and welcoming, which made me feel at ease. However, my experience at check-in was extremely frustrating. The receptionists and the people working at the till were absolutely terrible. When I arrived, they claimed I didn’t have a booking and made me wait around. Even after showing them my booking confirmation and payment, they insisted that someone had taken my key and that I was part of a group—though I had no group leader and wasn’t traveling with anyone. They couldn’t seem to make up their minds and kept giving me conflicting stories. The young lady at the till, who was wearing a hijab, was particularly unhelpful, insisting on things that weren’t true. After a while, I decided to contact my travel agency, and once they reached out to the hotel, the staff suddenly gave me the keys right away—without any real apology or explanation. The staff at the tills were rude, arrogant, and made the check-in process far more stressful than it needed to be. It was a shame because the rest of the hotel was great. In short, if you’re planning to stay here, just be prepared for a potentially frustrating check-in experience, but once you're past that, it’s a nice place with lovely staff elsewhere. Read less
