Food was amazing alhamdullilah. 150 riyals per person for the buffet for sahur/iftar. Honestly with the AMOUNT of options given it was so worth it. This was amazing. We had a great time. The room was clean and the staff were nice. It's also not far from the Haram. Considering this is a 4-star hotel, it feels like it should be 5 stars. Although we met some people in the hotel who had a bit of attitude, overall it didn’t change the rating. The food was great. There was a lot of food and desserts for suhoor (in Ramadan). I also can’t believe it’s a hotel — it’s big and very nice. The bed was comfortable and the couch was comfortable too. The hotel also has a kids' play area, and there are services for men and women, including massage, hair, and nail services, which was very nice. Read less

I had a very pleasant stay at Sheraton Makkah Jabal Al Kaaba Hotel and would gladly recommend this hotel to other travellers visiting Makkah. Although the hotel is located on a slightly hilly area, I did not find this to be an issue at all. In my opinion, the proximity to Masjid Al Haram is excellent with an approximately 5–10 minute walk depending on pace. I also noticed that there is a covered bridge connecting the hotel area to Masjid Al Haram. During my stay, the bridge was temporarily closed, possibly due to ongoing works around Masjid Al Haram, but once fully operational, it will certainly make access even more convenient. The hotel has around 10 elevators which is very efficient during peak times before prayer hours when many guests are heading to Masjid Al Haram simultaneously. This made moving in and out of the hotel smooth and well-managed. The service quality was excellent throughout my stay. The staff were professional, attentive, and genuinely helpful. A particularly impressive gesture was receiving an international follow-up phone call from a hotel staff member today 21 December 2025, checking on my condition and asking about my stay experience. Unfortunately, I did not catch her name clearly, but I truly appreciated the effort to personally follow up with a guest after check-out. The bangladesh brothers, who are very helpful, they are cleaning up the rooms and changing the bedsheets, towels etc. everyday, they comply in everything you ask for. It's a decent hotel and the main advantage is its proximity to the Prophet's (peace be upon him) mosque. The quadruple room was too small to host four beds and we could barely move in the room with our bags located in every corner. The bathroom was clean and they provided shampoo, shower jell etc. but you have to bring your own towels. We went in the winter and so it was good that the windows open a bit to renew the air in the room, especially since the AC didn't work properly. The four of us didn't know each other and the reception insisted on giving us one key only which wasn't very convenient. P.S. there were signs (e.g. hair) that they didn't change the bedsheets after the previous guests or at least didn't wash them properly Read less

🌟 Amazing Stay & Outstanding Staff! 🌟 I recently stayed at Zowar International Hotel in Medina, and overall it was a very positive experience — mainly because of the exceptional team at the front office and throughout the hotel. From the moment I arrived, the reception staff made me feel welcome and well-taken care of. In particular, Abdel Aziz at reception went above and beyond with professionalism, patience, and a friendly approach that really set the tone for my stay. His attention to detail and quick responses made check-in smooth and stress-free. I also want to commend Hanan — her warm and courteous service was truly remarkable. She consistently greeted guests with genuine hospitality and was always ready to help with whatever we needed and with a smile that made a big difference. Another staff member who deserves special recognition is the bellman, Abdel Aleem. Every time I arrived or left the hotel, he was there to assist with luggage and offer helpful local tips. His cheerful attitude and willingness to serve made me feel truly valued as a guest. Aside from the excellent service, the hotel’s location close to the Prophet’s Mosque was very convenient for prayers, and the rooms were comfortable enough for rest after long days. While some aspects of the property could be improved, the hospitality and kindness of the staff — especially Abdel Aziz, Hanan, and Abdel Aleem — really made the stay memorable. Reception is shockingly bad! They dont want your business, they are so lazy it took ages for one of them to book us in. They appear to not know what they are doing. Rooms were adequate, quality of the furnishings is below standard, room service where the only good aspect of this place. Good luck phoning reception and getting them to do anything. The tv in the room was not working properly fuzzy picture. Hairdryer was faulty, there is no iron to help with laundry. Fridge was temperamental, Mattresses are very firm and the bed frames are very high up. Yes you can place your bags underneath but we had to jump up onto the beds. The windows dont shut fully so can hear road noise during the night, one of the hinge brackets fell off in my hand! The beds are also very small single beds. Not ideal for adults. The shower doesnt work properly, blocked pipes, loose fittings, no door for the shower so whole room gets wet. No hooks in the bathroom to hang your clothes. Hanging bulbs with bare wires, Breakfast buffet is poor, food selection is below par, only one egg for omelette, as they were short on eggs at the time. I find it disgusting that the waiting staff will immediately throw food waste into a bag right next to where you are eating. Put me off my food. You are provided with paper cups for tea and coffee. Overall experience is more like a 2 star hotel even though it says 3 stars on the wall outside this place. Read less

The room service i didnt get any, no change of towels, neither cleaning or making bed, neither topping up tea and coffee. There are no phones in the room. The washroom was smelling and the shower room get overflow because the shower room was clogged. There must be a person who overlooks these services. First experience on entry into the room was not bad as i had not hight hopes due to some reviews but overall I think it was their experience as mine was much better. The service was good and they made the room when ever we asked them to. The distance from haram was not more that 4min walk. One can easily reach the mosque afyer azan and also offer his nafals. To make matters worse, the reception staff were consistently rude and unhelpful. As a family, we had booked three separate rooms, but instead, they crammed two families into one room while relegating our other family members to the smallest, most inadequate room they had available. The next day, after much hassle, we finally got the three rooms we had originally booked, but the experience had already soured our entire stay. The rooms were disgustingly dirty, covered in layers of dust. The bathrooms were a complete mess, and the foul smell emanating from them was unbearable. This hotel couldn't even dream of calling itself a 4-star establishment; it's honestly the worst experience I've ever had. The service was consistently appalling, and to top it all off, the entire place was disgustingly dirty. It was a truly awful experience that I would never wish on anyone. Normally some tolerance is in order for hotels, but in this case, it is absolutely the worst possible experience possible. To begin with, the room was disgusting. There was peeling paint, cutlery behind the beds and the bathroom was in an utter state - the mirror was taped to the wall. Secondly, we checked in to find that there were no towels in the room, when we alerted the reception, they told us to wait 5 minutes - no response. We went again - same answer, wait 5 minutes. 3 hours later, after arguing with the receptionist, they gave us towels. After a long journey there, this was unacceptable. Thirdly, the bathroom drain was blocked, which meant we couldn't take a shower even if we liked. The reception said that they didn't have a plumber present to fix it, and told us to wait our turn for room service the next day - which would be after 10. The reception staff barely spoke English and found our problems very amusing, before running to the service floor in the lift. There is no accountability whatsoever, and this level of service is disgusting. The Ministry of Tourism should SHUT DOWN this establishment until they can maintain bare minimums of standards. What's even worse is, we weren't the only ones with issues. When we came to the reception, the receptionist simply noted our room number on a list of 5/6 other rooms, and there were various other people queuing to complain. The hotel will probably just respond with a generic response like "send a email to XYZ" or will implement improvements in the future. This is totally unacceptable. Read less

I can’t even begin to describe how terrible this hotel is. I arrived at this hotel in the evening after a long bus ride and as soon as we checked into our rooms, there were a bunch of problems, the walls were absolutely disgusting as they were random marks all over them, also, the smell of the room was absolutely horrible and I was mortified by the hygiene within my room as everything including the floor was dirty. The bathroom was below the basic standards as the bathtub was blocked and water would not go through and there was no towels available apparently also, the curtains of the shower appeared to have blood stains on them as well as cause tons of water to leak out and flood the bathroom. We ended up complaining to the receptionist however he completely ignored us and proceeded to laugh in our face. One of the cleaners proceeded to insult one of my family members which really infuriated me. I highly recommend that the ministry of Hajj and Umrah investigate this hotel immediately as they are unable to provide the most basic care to their clients as well as charge them for what they have done Read less

AVOID THIS HOTEL AS MUCH AS YOU CAN. Do not ruin your experience in Madinah by booking yourself in here. If any travel agent mentions the name of this hotel tell them to change the hotel there are hundreds in this area! Firstly the damp smell is horrendous. The bathroom is covered in mould I had to hold it in till late evening when I couldn’t hold it in anymore. The sink, floor, tub is covered in mould, the wooden door is so damp it smells rotten. The bed had a stain on which was horrific. The windows let cold air through which I feel like it played a part in my husband falling ill even more. We had to shove the gap with duvets and cloth to stop the cold air coming through (as the time we were in Madinah it was freezing/raining/thundering). My parents room had a leak and instead of shifting them to another room firstly they said ‘these things happen’ and when my mum put her foot down they eventually got someone to have a look at it. Turns out the room needed a new boiler which they spent a few hours fixing while my mum sat in the corner of the room. Breakfast is mediocre however for some odd reason they won’t let us have breakfast here now and are asking us to go to the next door hotel to have our breakfast. The next door hotel only serve cold meat, bread tea hardly anything else that’s actually edible. Luckily McDonald’s is behind the hotel so we had them to rely on. We were finally shifted to another room which was slightly better however the cold atmosphere around the staff is making us feel very uncomfortable. Other then some of the Bengali staff who are friendly and greet you when they see you, the reception staff are shockingly rude. You would think they’ve given us free shelter in their hotel when infact we paid ALOT of money for such a rubbish hotel. Good luck if there’s a group of you because they only give you one key to share between you all. Do not fall for the pictures on google, I wish I had took pictures but I haven’t. Avoid avoid avoid.
