We had a very good stay at Makarem Ajyad Hotel during our visit to Makkah. The location is excellent and very close to Al Haram. We faced some problems with our travel agency in Morocco (Mekroy Travel), but the hotel staff handled everything professionally and managed to resolve the situation quickly, which we truly appreciated. Special thanks to Ryad, the Assistant Housekeeping Manager, for his kindness and professionalism, and also to Chef Charaf Eddine and the food team for the very good meals throughout our stay. So many reasons to prefer it over the elite hotels in front of the Haram. Firstly, it's a proper 5 star hotel, but not a mega sized hotel, therefore not crowded at all, extremely easy to get in and out of. 5 fast elevators, and I never saw any of them being overcrowded. The location is excellent, about 5-6 minutes walk to King Abdul Aziz gate. The breakfast was one of my favorites, lots of varieties, different types of breads, fruits and veggies, continental, middle eastern, south Asian, east Asian, so many different cuisines to choose from. The rooms were spacious and had amenities like iron, electric kettle, coffee maker, refrigerator. Bathroom was also spacious and had all the relevant stuff. Lastly, the staff and level of service was excellent. The response on our requests was rapid and efficient. Highly recommended. Read less

Special thanks to the housekeeping team for their quick and prompt response to all requests. Breakfast at the Zamzam Buffet was a highlight of my stay. The variety of dishes was impressive, and the service from the waitstaff was excellent. The dining area was spotless, and the team maintained a high level of hygiene while being friendly and welcoming throughout. The lobby was a bit crowded at times, but it’s understandable given the hotel’s prime location and popularity. However, the complimentary station of snacks and drinks in the lobby was a fantastic touch. A big thanks to the chef and the team for this thoughtful gesture. it truly enhanced the experience. Here's a review about my stay at the Ajyad Makareem Makkah hotel: I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Ajyad Makareem Makkah hotel, and I must say it was an incredibly enjoyable experience. The hotel's location is superb, with only a 5-minute walk to the Masjid al-Haram gate, making it extremely convenient for performing Umrah. The hotel staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, particularly Rofiq ,Tofazzul, and Saiful Islam , the housekeeping staff member, who stood out for his exceptional warmth and hospitality. I truly appreciated the service provided by Rofiq and the rest of the staff. The hotel rooms were also spacious and clean, providing a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere during my stay. The facilities provided were comprehensive and adequate. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Ajyad Makareem Makkah hotel and hope to have the opportunity to stay again on my next Umrah journey. The rooms are old, the common areas aren’t very clean, and the reception is chaotic—I waited almost an hour for my room. There’s no parking, the bathrooms smell bad when using water. At breakfast, flies are all around you while eating. For the high price, I deeply regret not choosing the Hyatt Regency next door, which looked much better for a similar rate. However, I would like to suggest that the management provide more staff to assist with luggage during check-in and check-out. When I checked out, I requested assistance three times, but unfortunately, no one came to help. This was quite inconvenient, especially for guests with heavy luggage. The room cleanliness was excellent, the hotel services were well organized, and the staff were polite and respectful, which I truly appreciate. However, I was disappointed during check-out. I requested assistance with my luggage more than once and waited about 30 minutes without any response. In the end, I had to carry the luggage myself, even though it was quite heavy. I expected better attention to such a basic service, especially in a hotel. As for the buffet, it was quite average, with limited variety and almost the same food choices repeated daily. The location of the hotel is excellent — very convenient and ideal for visiting the Haram. The rooms were clean, modern, and well maintained, which made our stay comfortable. A special mention must go to the housekeeping team on the 13th floor, especially Mohammed Al Amin and Mohamed Retik. They were outstanding throughout our stay — professional, kind, and incredibly helpful. Their effort, attention to detail, and warm service truly made a difference to our experience. Unfortunately, the general hotel service was inconsistent, particularly with in-room dining. We were travelling with a child who has allergies, and communication with the team was sometimes difficult. On one occasion, a serious mistake was made regarding dietary requirements. While this was concerning, being in Madinah we chose patience and mercy over anger. We shared feedback with Guest Relations multiple times during our stay. Although promises were made to improve matters for the remainder of our visit, we unfortunately did not see meaningful changes. Overall, if it were not for the exceptional housekeeping staff — Mohammed Al Amin, Mohamed Retik, and the rest of the team — we would not consider returning. For our future visits, we would choose elsewhere for better service and better communication regarding allergies. Read less

The rooms are brand new, very spacious, and super comfortable. The location is perfect, and I really appreciated that the hotel wasn’t overcrowded which made the whole stay feel peaceful and relaxed. It even smells amazing throughout the hotel, such a small detail but makes a big difference. The art pieces and open spaces give it a really nice atmosphere too. Make up glass, and a large mirror in front of the marble slab , dust bin, tissues, toilet papers, white towels bundles, disposal tooth brush & paste, razor, shampoos, conditioner & soaps for use, are available for the hotel guests. Full board stay for the guests would come up with buffets breakfast, lunch & dinner. Inside the room is available mini-kitchen for tea, room fridge which contains biscuits, chocolates, water & juice bottles etc. Cupboards with prayer mat, bathroom shoes, safe for money, precious items are also available. Inside room are sufficient plugs for using charging of mobiles, table and chair and comfortable chairs to sit in the room. Large LCD to view more than 100 channels was also provided. Beds were very cozy in the air-conditioned room and table lamps around the beds for night use could be seen. Outside view from the window was amazing especially at night when visitors are coming to Prophets Mosque to perform rituals. Check-in time is late 4.00pm we received one room before 3.00 while other room by 4.45pm as the other guest left the room only by 3.50!! We request iron for one room and they bring fast, next day we request for other room and they keep saying not available or we will bring but till last day we didn't see the iron. One room air-condition keep leaking water which makes the stay bit uncomfortable. Elevators system needs to be enhanced as you have to click on different ones and keep looking between them to know which one will come. The mentioned points are things which they need to look on. The rooms are incomplete; Service was good but plumbers/ cleaners were so busy! 3. The breakfast was very very so poor, prices too high especially in Ramadan, cheap to buy from outside. I started to eat from outside. 4. The only good thing about this hotel was the location, but not worth living with that much disturbance. 5. First Impression on the hotel , looks fabulous and very clean, as it's in it's initial stage it needs more improvement. The best part are their room service guys , excellent cleaning and attending when required. Need to mention some name they were very helpful and exceptional Mr Simon , this guy's has gone beyond and above to help me and my family have a clean and comfortable stay. Others who have not just cleaned and helped in us having a good environment are Mr. Imran and Al Amin. I hope to visit and stay at the hotel on my future visits. I would like them to do some improvements on their customer service call line 0. WiFi , as it drops most of the time. No Iron or Iron Board available in rooms which should be provided as pressing of clothes are essential need of a visitor. Read less

This hotel was such a decent hotel compared to others i have stayed in previous years. The location is central to local food shacks, food shops, coffee shops. The walk to haram is not that far. If your going out then you can walk out the hotel and catch a cab as you have the main road there which is useful. The rooms were clean, shower was amazing. All amenities were provided within the room. We were even given a fruit plate whilst we were out so that was a nice gesture. The staff were really good in terms of cleaning the room, emptying our bins and topping us up with water bottles. We were based on the 12th floor which had 4 beds. The space was so ideal as I had a toddler so she could play. I would certainly choose to stay here again for sure. Read less
