I stayed at the Anjum Hotel for 7 nights and had a pleasant experience overall. Muhammad Aala was an excellent chef who made my omelette perfectly every morning and even remembered my order each day. That personal touch really meant a lot. Room service was also great. I would especially like to mention Jamal Rahman on the 21st floor, he is a very hardworking young man and provided wonderful service. The stay from check-in was great and very helpful. They welcomed us warmly, took all our bags from taxi to carrier, placed them in our room, and arranged room exactly as we requested. The cleaning service is very polite and available 24/7. They clean even if you give them only five minutes while you’re in a rush they are always ready to help and make sure the room stays clean. I got ill during my stay and requested lemon with salt, and it always arrived within seconds. Ibrahem (Abu Amal), Chief of Staff, showed great hospitality. He always checked in to see if we needed anything and greeted us with a smile every time we saw him, he always seek feedback to ensure services are top notch , and that is highly appreciated and rarely found, he must be definitely a valuable staff member. The room had a great view of Masjid Alharam, and the breakfast had everything fresh and well prepared. Highly recommend. Read less

i am staying at the anjum hotel for 5 days today is my fourth day and before i even end my trip i can Wholeheartedly say it is the best And most convenient hotel to stay at The location is In an amazing place, meaning the views from the window are beautiful Walking to the kaaba To perform Umrah Is so fast and convenient, especially After performing when you’re tired and all you want to do is go back to your hotel. The rooms are beautifully set up beds are made every single day without fail. The hotel provides water tea, coffee, soap, shampoo, razors, anything you may need Including an iron, a hairdryer and towels they even have a safe to put valuables in. The cleaners are Mostly Bengali and are extremely respectful They won’t touch a single item that Belongs to you, which I find very important. I even left a shopping bag full of rubbish and they didn’t take it just in case it was something that belonged to me. They have a lot of respect For visitors. And have helped us out a lot, They regularly topped up our Waters etc. And I just think they make the whole Umrah process so much smoother. The hotels have many lifts, although the lifts are busy it gets the job done They have communal seating areas And shops on the bottom floor in case you need anything. The entire hotel is spotless Which is constantly cleaned throughout the day it is beautifully decorated And definitely worth the money. We had booked the hotel with a breakfast buffet that was also good. It had a quick sign in system and you was free to eat whatever you wanted. The waiters are also respectful helping whenever they can. The Food is generally good there’s a huge variety Which is good for kids and picky eaters. Front office staffs were not proffesional in handling guest c/i and c/o, took me more than 25 minutes in queue than I left and cancelling my extra bed request. Alhamdulillah my family and I had they opportunity to make umrah last week. We stayed in Anjum Hotel. Overall the experience has been wonderful. The hotel is of close proximity to the Haram. We booked a quad room and it was clean and spacious. The breakfast spread was luxurious. The only thing I wish the hotel would consider is to have shopping next to it. One of the workers Shuaib, who works in the food service area was really nice, he made sure that we got anything we needed. Along side him was the breakfast manager Amjd, who is also kind and was helpful. The café on the ground floor is also a good place for food or for tea. I would highly recommend ordering the lamb chopps or the pizzas. The location is also wonderful , it's a 5 minute walking distance to masjid al haram. They dont allow to eat in other sections. And the Pakistani food is so spicy with same sort of food everyday. I had full board meal plan and literally got sour throat in just 3 days. The booking was for 8 days. Won't recommend anyone to book this hotel with food plan. Worst food discrimination and same spicy food everyday. It has been a smooth experience with Anjum hotel. For me it’s the first time however my brother are regulars during the last 10 days of holy month Ramadan. The staff are very friendly and helpful. We had an issue with the booking however when we explained the matter the hotel staff were very considerate and understanding. I personally appreciate the housekeeping team Ma’amon, Mukhtar and their supervisor Kazi. They are very attentive, hard workers and friendly. Surely this hotel we will consider in our next visit. I am writing this review while I am at the hotel right now location is near the haram but you will walk a little bit to reach it as the doors are nearly 1 km away walking may be more but it may be the worst food I have had in any hotel I stayed in before. It is not about the variety it is about the quality of food even the bread you feel it is backed since a couple of days and the croissants is made of the same bread material Room service the worst thing in this hotel you must ask and call them a lot of times in order to have your request done even I asked the guy to pick the trash and left it for him outdoor and he was there doing another room but he left without picking it and you keep asking for new towels or any other default amenities you need The safe box is not working and they changed it 2 times till now and it is still not working Other Hotel facilities are good and the reception guys are helpful but they are the only ones here It is my 1st time in this hotel and it will be my last one for sure Read less

If you have confirmed your stay earlier they will treat you like goons. The worst side of the hotel is the location. You have to literally ride a 20 meter high road on the way back to hotel from haram. And trust me you would rather prefer walking 300 meters in the sun than this 100 meter steep road. After all of that we entered the room that was extremely dirty nuts on the carpet, dust on tables and tissues on the carpet. One of the toilets smelled so bad as if it wasn’t cleaned. Beds are not comfortable at all. No slippers in the room. No bath robe for shower. There is a Nespresso machine with no capsules; if you don’t want to add capsules remove the machine. The fridge was empty, 3 or 4 water bottles were in the room. When I book a Junior suite at a 5 star hotel, I would expect more!! Read less

My stay at the Mövenpick Anwar Al Madinah was a mix of excellent elite benefits and some initial operational friction. Upon arrival, the check-in process was a bit complicated; the main reception was unable to process my request to use Accor Live Limitless (ALL) points for the booking, stating they couldn't see the option. I was redirected to the dedicated Accor member desk, where the staff eventually agreed to the deduction after consulting with colleagues. It’s a great property, but as a Gold member, I found that you really need to know your benefits and be persistent to ensure they are applied correctly. ​The logistics of getting into the room also required some patience. I was told the room wasn't quite ready and that I would be contacted as soon as it was available, but unfortunately, no call ever came. I eventually returned to the desk myself after the Asr prayer to successfully finalize the check-in. On the positive side, my Accor Gold status was ultimately recognized with a room upgrade, and the view from the room was truly fantastic. It’s a solid room product that makes the wait feel worth it once you are finally settled in. ​In terms of location, the hotel is well-situated, though it is worth noting for fellow travelers that it involves a slight detour to reach the Haram gates when compared to the more direct path from the Sofitel Shahd Al Madinah. While the walk is manageable, those prioritizing the absolute shortest distance might notice the difference. Overall, it’s a high-quality hotel with excellent views and strong status recognition, provided you don't mind navigating some initial communication gaps at the front desk. Read less

Overall, a very convenient place to stay. The check-in process was smooth and easy, and the staff at reception and checkout were very friendly, helpful, and welcoming. The location is definitely one of the biggest advantages. It’s extremely close to the mosque near Gate 327, literally less than a five-minute walk. There are also small stores right outside the hotel on both sides, and if you cross the road you’ll find food places and other shops as well. The room had all the basic essentials and was comfortable overall. We also had suhoor included in our stay, and it was very good with a lot of variety. Definitely recommended. They also offer paid parking at 5 SAR per hour, which is helpful if you’re driving. As for the downsides, the room key card system was quite faulty. The slot where you insert the card to unlock the door often didn’t work properly. It sometimes took many attempts to get it to switch from red to green, and I remember spending a couple of minutes just trying to enter the room. The housekeeping indicator and doorbell system were also not functioning properly. The standard has dropped a bit compared to before, but overall, considering the location and convenience, it’s still a good option for visitors. Read less

Alhamdulillah, our worship experience was very comfortable as the hotel provides very close access to the women’s entrance of Masjid Nabawi. We had a very disappointing stay at the Mövenpick Hotel. Although it’s rated as a 5-star property, our experience felt more like a 1-star. We booked three rooms for the family and paid a significant amount, but the service and conditions were far below expectations. Some of the issues we faced: 1. The toilet had leaks and an unpleasant odor. 2. Reception staff were unhelpful, especially when it came to resolving a card blockage issue. 3. Chairs in the reception area were very dirty. 4. The porter (bagagiste) openly asked for money and gifts, which felt highly unprofessional. 5. We had elderly guests in our group who needed assistance, but when help was required, no one from the staff came forward. 6. The shower door was broken when asked the housekeeping to fix it no one came. Overall, we would rate this experience 1/10. We do not recommend this hotel and will certainly not be returning. The high rating (4.5 stars on Google) does not reflect the reality we encountered. I had a reservation for two rooms: one with a large bed and another with two separate beds. However, when I arrived, the receptionist mistakenly gave me a room with four beds. I explained that it wasn’t what I had booked and asked her to correct it. After waiting for about 10 minutes, she told me she couldn’t do anything because many people were waiting — which left me feeling disappointed and exhausted. Luckily, another staff member who was sitting in the manager’s office noticed me and came over to ask if she could help. I explained my situation to her, and she immediately took care of everything with professionalism and kindness. She corrected the mistake and gave us exactly the rooms we had reserved. Her calm and respectful attitude made a big difference… even my niece was happy and excited to speak with her. Although I don’t know her name, I truly appreciate her help. She’s a great example of someone who respects her work and the guests, and she turned a negative experience into a very positive one. Thank you.. Read less

On arrival, floor looked dirty, like it hadn't been hoovered in so many days. Bed sheets were stained and pillow had a big boggie on it 🤢. The next day, house keeping came to the room. We asked them to do the usual cleaning and to change the bed sheets. We also reported the blocked sink. They quickly unblocked the sink, gave us some water bottles and toilet rolls then sprayed air freshener in the room and left. We had to call them back, and asked them to change the covers. The cleaners were not happy about this. They showed so much attitude like they did not want to be doing their job even though we we were so nice to them and did not even complain about all the mess and dirt in our room. This is not the kind of service we expect from a 5 star hotel. Read less

The flushes constantly stop working. maintainence staff doesnt show up to fix it. they expect you to stay in your room the entire day so they can do basic bathroom maintainence at a random time of their choosing. After starting the process from approx 7 am of complaining about the bathroom at 10 in the night i had a break down. Mr Khalid the manager was patronizing and rude. other guests had to step in to help with getting me some attention. important to note arabic speaking men spoke up because that was the only way mr khalid gave any attention. This by far has been a horrible stay. one comes for prayer and peace all i got was racism and sexism from mr khalid and his team. There are many more hotels in this area dont waste your spiritual journey by staying here. Read less

Bathrooms were having such a disgusting smell. Only cigarette 🚬 smell was keep coming everywhere. There's no towel in the washroom. Upon asking the Housekeeping team working in the corridors they said, what to do it's supervisor mistake he didn't check the room. Check in process was so time taking even though there's no rush. Only 1 person was ahead of us but the staff was so "lazy" and was not paying attention. Check in staff didn't provide us with the room keys / card and asked the bell boy to drop us to the room. Bell boy opened the room with the master key and handed over the same to us - upon asking why master key, he smiled and went out of the room. At the time of Check-out, the lady at the reception was shocked to see the master key and asked me how come I've that key - I explained all this to her. Other than its great location, I didn't find any single value for money about this hotel. If anyone from the management side wants to discuss more; I'm happy to share more as well. Read less

I could not gave more than 2 stars because of the following: 1- room furniture's are old and aged. 2- toilets seems poorly maintained. 3- During breakfast, the served orange juice was expired. I informed the staff at the restaurant two times few minutes apart and kept watching and waiting for their action to remove the juice containers but they didn't. 4- shower cabin was too small. 5- the hotel strangely designed for small size short Asian guests. I am not that tall guy! I am 190 cm tall. The ceiling height is low i could touch the ceiling while walking in the hotel corridors. I had to really bow down to open the door as the door knob is close to my knees. Toilet basin and commod were very low. Read less
