I stayed at the Anjum Hotel for 7 nights and had a pleasant experience overall. Muhammad Aala was an excellent chef who made my omelette perfectly every morning and even remembered my order each day. That personal touch really meant a lot. Room service was also great. I would especially like to mention Jamal Rahman on the 21st floor, he is a very hardworking young man and provided wonderful service. The hotel itself is good, comfortable, and well managed, though it is a bit far from Door 79 of Masjid al-Haram. Overall, it was a good stay. Read less

The stay from check-in was great and very helpful. They welcomed us warmly, took all our bags from taxi to carrier, placed them in our room, and arranged room exactly as we requested. The cleaning service is very polite and available 24/7. They clean even if you give them only five minutes while you’re in a rush they are always ready to help and make sure the room stays clean. I got ill during my stay and requested lemon with salt, and it always arrived within seconds. Ibrahem (Abu Amal), Chief of Staff, showed great hospitality. He always checked in to see if we needed anything and greeted us with a smile every time we saw him, he always seek feedback to ensure services are top notch , and that is highly appreciated and rarely found, he must be definitely a valuable staff member. The room had a great view of Masjid Alharam, and the breakfast had everything fresh and well prepared. Highly recommend. Read less

i am staying at the anjum hotel for 5 days today is my fourth day and before i even end my trip i can Wholeheartedly say it is the best And most convenient hotel to stay at The location is In an amazing place, meaning the views from the window are beautiful Walking to the kaaba To perform Umrah Is so fast and convenient, especially After performing when you’re tired and all you want to do is go back to your hotel. The rooms are beautifully set up beds are made every single day without fail. The hotel provides water tea, coffee, soap, shampoo, razors, anything you may need Including an iron, a hairdryer and towels they even have a safe to put valuables in. The cleaners are Mostly Bengali and are extremely respectful They won’t touch a single item that Belongs to you, which I find very important. I even left a shopping bag full of rubbish and they didn’t take it just in case it was something that belonged to me. They have a lot of respect For visitors. And have helped us out a lot, They regularly topped up our Waters etc. And I just think they make the whole Umrah process so much smoother. The hotels have many lifts, although the lifts are busy it gets the job done They have communal seating areas And shops on the bottom floor in case you need anything. The entire hotel is spotless Which is constantly cleaned throughout the day it is beautifully decorated And definitely worth the money. We had booked the hotel with a breakfast buffet that was also good. It had a quick sign in system and you was free to eat whatever you wanted. The waiters are also respectful helping whenever they can. The Food is generally good there’s a huge variety Which is good for kids and picky eaters. Alhamdulillah my family and I had they opportunity to make umrah last week. We stayed in Anjum Hotel. Overall the experience has been wonderful. The hotel is of close proximity to the Haram. We booked a quad room and it was clean and spacious. The breakfast spread was luxurious. The only thing I wish the hotel would consider is to have shopping next to it. Good experience at anjum. The service is great, Housekeeping MD Taskin room 1121 there's a café with many options to eat from. The workers are also wonderful. One of the workers Shuaib, who works in the food service area was really nice, he made sure that we got anything we needed. Along side him was the breakfast manager Amjd, who is also kind and was helpful. The café on the ground floor is also a good place for food or for tea. I would highly recommend ordering the lamb chopps or the pizzas. The location is also wonderful , it's a 5 minute walking distance to masjid al haram. Our stay at Anjum Hotel Makkah was nothing short of exceptional. The rooms were immaculate – a solid 10/10 for cleanliness, comfort, and design. The location gets an 8/10, as it’s slightly set back compared to some hotels, but still very conveniently located for easy access to the Haram. They dont allow to eat in other sections. And the Pakistani food is so spicy with same sort of food everyday. I had full board meal plan and literally got sour throat in just 3 days. The booking was for 8 days. Won't recommend anyone to book this hotel with food plan. Worst food discrimination and same spicy food everyday. It has been a smooth experience with Anjum hotel. For me it’s the first time however my brother are regulars during the last 10 days of holy month Ramadan. The staff are very friendly and helpful. We had an issue with the booking however when we explained the matter the hotel staff were very considerate and understanding. I personally appreciate the housekeeping team Ma’amon, Mukhtar and their supervisor Kazi. They are very attentive, hard workers and friendly. Surely this hotel we will consider in our next visit. It is not about the variety it is about the quality of food even the bread you feel it is backed since a couple of days and the croissants is made of the same bread material Room service the worst thing in this hotel you must ask and call them a lot of times in order to have your request done even I asked the guy to pick the trash and left it for him outdoor and he was there doing another room but he left without picking it and you keep asking for new towels or any other default amenities you need The safe box is not working and they changed it 2 times till now and it is still not working Other Hotel facilities are good and the reception guys are helpful but they are the only ones here It is my 1st time in this hotel and it will be my last one for sure Read less

If you have confirmed your stay earlier they will treat you like goons. The worst side of the hotel is the location. You have to literally ride a 20 meter high road on the way back to hotel from haram. And trust me you would rather prefer walking 300 meters in the sun than this 100 meter steep road. After all of that we entered the room that was extremely dirty nuts on the carpet, dust on tables and tissues on the carpet. One of the toilets smelled so bad as if it wasn’t cleaned. Beds are not comfortable at all. No slippers in the room. No bath robe for shower. There is a Nespresso machine with no capsules; if you don’t want to add capsules remove the machine. The fridge was empty, 3 or 4 water bottles were in the room. When I book a Junior suite at a 5 star hotel, I would expect more!! Read less

We had a deeply unpleasant experience at Waqf Outhman bin Affan Hotel in Madinah. Shortly after check-in, we discovered blood stains on the bed sheets, which is completely unacceptable and raises serious hygiene and health concerns. After repeatedly calling the staff, the sheets were eventually changed, but no proper explanation or sincere apology was offered. When I raised the issue at the reception, the response was dismissive and uninterested. Escalating the matter to management made no difference. Unfortunately, the way the situation was handled left us feeling that, as Indian guests, our concerns were not given the same importance or respect as those of other guests, which added to the distress of an already unacceptable hygiene issue. What made the experience even more upsetting was that housekeeping attempted to shift the blame onto us, rather than acknowledging their failure. Even after informing the staff that we would be posting this experience online, there was no change in attitude or urgency, which suggested a troubling level of indifference to guest feedback. To make matters worse, the only form of “compensation” offered was a few bottles of water, which felt inappropriate and insulting given the seriousness of the situation. In a city like Madinah, where hospitality, cleanliness, and respect for guests—especially pilgrims—should be upheld at the highest standards, this experience was extremely disappointing. Clean bed sheets are the most basic expectation of any hotel, and failing at this level raises serious concerns about overall hygiene and management practices. We had a very bad experience at this property, especially since we were traveling with toddlers. When we were given our room, the bed was full of dirty hair. It was extremely unhygienic and clearly showed that the room had not been cleaned properly. We immediately complained to the staff, but nothing was done for four hours. Traveling with small children, waiting that long in a dirty room was extremely stressful and unacceptable. What made the situation even worse was the poor complaint-handling process. If you complain to one staff member, that person changes after a few hours, and then you have to go through the entire process of explaining the issue again to someone new. There was no proper handover, no follow-up, and no sense of responsibility. Additionally, there were no blankets provided in the toilet/bathroom, and one of the rooms had a toilet that was not working at all, which caused major inconvenience. Overall, the rooms looked dirty, poorly maintained, and completely unsuitable for families, especially those with toddlers. The lack of cleanliness, slow response, broken facilities, and disorganized staff made this stay very unpleasant. We would not recommend this place to anyone, particularly families with young children. Read less

The most disorganised hotel I have ever been to. At check in I could hear other guests complain about issues they were having with their check in/check out date. This continued to be a theme in the following days. We were assigned a room but when we got there we found that the room was already occupied. With 3 kids in tow this was not a slight inconvenience. This took 30 minutes if not longer to fix. The rooms were falling apart. Curtains hanging off the rail. The door looked as if it had been attacked by a wild animal. Carpets that felt dirty and unclean. No hand towels on the railing. The toilet door stiff to the extent we had to use our whole body strength to open it. The beds too high for our children to climb on to. The pillows so high and hard we all left with neck cramps. The day after we checked in we were told we were expected to check out. This seemed to be an ongoing theme. Nearly every day we were told to check out despite clarifying the day before our check out date. The best part of the stay was the efforts of the hard working Bangladeshi staff who tried the best to accommodate us. The location wasn’t too bad closer to the women’s entrance of Masjid Nabawi but so were lots of rather hotels. Stay at one of them and save yourself a headache. Read less

I stayed at this hotel for 4 days December during Umrah, and unfortunately, it was a truly disappointing experience, despite the hotel having a lot of potential and it was too late to cancel I did see the negative reviews and didn’t believe it at first. The building itself is dated, but the room sizes are large and the location is good—only about a 5-minute walk from Gate 326 of the Prophet’s Mosque. However, these positives were outweighed by poor housekeeping and management. On the first day of arrival, we were given two adjoining rooms. In both rooms, the fridge was broken, the safe did not work, and the TV was not functioning. After repeated complaints, they eventually fixed one fridge and the safe, and later the TV. This should not happen at check-in. Cleanliness was a major issue. The floors were dirty, the carpets were not clean, and it honestly seemed like vacuuming or proper cleaning was not practiced at all. I never saw any housekeeping equipment such as a vacuum. Towels and toilet paper were not replenished unless we complained—basic amenities that should be standard in any hotel. Beds were not changed until we raised the issue. We were told that housekeeping is not allowed to enter rooms when guests are not present, which meant nothing was done unless we were physically there and repeatedly asked. Bottled water was also not provided unless we complained again. Throughout the stay, I had to constantly call reception just to get basic services done. This is the first hotel I have ever stayed in where you have to ask for your room to be cleaned. The main problem appears to be housekeeping. The staff were mostly young boys who seemed uninterested, careless, and in some cases rude. Whether they are overworked or underpaid, it clearly reflects in their attitude and performance. When I questioned one staff member about the lack of cleaning, the response was dismissive and unprofessional. In addition, the hotel urgently needs to invest in better-quality linen, duvets, and pillows, as the ones provided were worn out and uncomfortable, which further affected the quality of our stay. Last year, we stayed at Mysk Touch, not far from this hotel, and the difference was night and day—excellent housekeeping, polite staff, and proper management. This hotel needs better training, improved staff manners, stricter supervision, and a manager who actively checks that housekeeping standards are being met. Absolutely unacceptable experience – avoid at all costs We arrived on time for our booking at Waqf Outhman Bin Affan Hotel, only to be told without any prior notice that our reservation had been moved to a completely different hotel. No explanation, no apology. The staff were incredibly unhelpful and dismissive, showing no regard for customer service or basic respect. This is by far the worst hospitality experience I’ve ever had. I do not recommend this place at all. save yourself the stress and book somewhere else. Read less

The room is clean and well stocked with everything you need (hair dryer, coffee machine, TV, towels, fridge, kettles, bedside tables, wardrobe, hangers and all the essential soaps in the bathrooms). The staff and cleaners provide good service, the location is literally a 2-5 minute walk to gate 326 in masjid nabawi. Our room has a beautiful view of the city. Read less

Disappointing Experience Despite Good Location I would’ve considered staying here again with my family due to the great location near Masjid Nabawi. However, I had an uncomfortable experience with the receptionist. I asked for a bottle of water after returning from the mosque and was refused, only to see her offer water to other guests shortly after. When I raised the issue, she dismissed it. This felt discriminatory and unprofessional. Because of that, I cannot recommend this hotel. Read less

Our recent stay was unfortunately quite disappointing. Upon arrival, we were asked to pay despite having already settled the bill through Booking.com, which was an unusual and inconvenient start. The bathroom in our room had a persistent, unpleasant odor from the drain and toilet. The sink only provided scalding hot water, posing a safety concern for children. Breakfast was consistently stale, limited, and lacked freshness. The hotel receptionists, particularly Baitool, were unprofessional and unhelpful, demonstrating a clear lack of customer service. The sole redeeming quality of this hotel is its excellent location, being just a 10-15 minute walk from Masjid Nabwi. Read less

The room was very small, the overall look and feel of the room was workout, washroom was also just clean. Reception picks up phone at will so there is mostly no access to room service. The hotel is still sold out however for the amount they charge the value being offered is not much. Booked through booking. I’m really disappointed with my experience at this hotel. My brother forgot his key card, so I brought it with me while I was out. When he couldn’t reach me, he went to reception to ask for another key — but they refused to give him one. Instead, they just went up and opened the door for him. This felt humiliating — after paying nearly £100 per night, you’d expect a bit more consideration and basic service. On top of that, the room’s electricity only works when the key card is in the slot, which meant my brother had no power while waiting for me and had to rely on a portable charger. The water pressure in the bathroom was also extremely low, making it hard to take a proper shower. For the price we’re paying, this kind of lack of consideration and inconvenience is unacceptable. Wouldn’t recommend — there are better places for the money. Read less

I recently stayed at this hotel and overall, the experience was quite pleasant. The hotel and rooms are lovely, and I would definitely recommend it for a comfortable stay. The cleaners and other staff were really nice and welcoming, which made me feel at ease. However, my experience at check-in was extremely frustrating. The receptionists and the people working at the till were absolutely terrible. When I arrived, they claimed I didn’t have a booking and made me wait around. Even after showing them my booking confirmation and payment, they insisted that someone had taken my key and that I was part of a group—though I had no group leader and wasn’t traveling with anyone. They couldn’t seem to make up their minds and kept giving me conflicting stories. The young lady at the till, who was wearing a hijab, was particularly unhelpful, insisting on things that weren’t true. After a while, I decided to contact my travel agency, and once they reached out to the hotel, the staff suddenly gave me the keys right away—without any real apology or explanation. The staff at the tills were rude, arrogant, and made the check-in process far more stressful than it needed to be. It was a shame because the rest of the hotel was great. In short, if you’re planning to stay here, just be prepared for a potentially frustrating check-in experience, but once you're past that, it’s a nice place with lovely staff elsewhere. Read less
