Stayed here for a whole week during Ramadhan with my parents! Highly recommend this hotel for a comfortable, convenient and accommodating stay. The location was close to the Haram, but steers clear of the rush of crowds going into the clock tower - a valuable perk esp at peak season. The GM, Hisham and his team were very attentive to our needs, were receptive to feedback and were proactive in ensuring we were cared for. The service team always had a smile on their faces, providing hospitality that makes you feel right at home. The food selection during iftar was amazing! Well balanced traditional Arabian food, a full spread of desserts - we absolutely loved that its always served hot, and is always well put together. Definitely will come back to stay here.

I recently stayed at Le Méridien Makkah for one night along with my wife, and overall it was a comfortable experience. The staff were welcoming and courteous. The room was quiet, clean, and comfortable, which made it ideal for resting after Umrah. All the basic amenities were in place, making the stay convenient and hassle free. We had suhoor on the 8th floor at around 1:30am, which turned out to be a great decision as there was no rush at that time. The variety was good and everything was well arranged and fresh. The hotel is about a 10 minute walk to Haram, which is manageable. However, guests should be aware that the road directly in front of the hotel closes during prayer times and may reopen up to one hour after the prayer depending on the crowd. This can make getting a taxi from the front difficult. Similarly, reaching the hotel by taxi can sometimes be challenging due to traffic and temporary roadblocks. Overall, it was a comfortable and pleasant stay, especially for a short visit with family.

Pros: -The location is excellent, close to Haram with a great view. -Hotel staff and management are generous. -Staff are polite and very friendly. -Check-in and check-out times are handled with high flexibility. -The food is delicious. -They offer a complimentary dinner, which is very tasty. .. Cons: -Although a large bed was advertised, it is actually smaller than described. -There is no smart TV in the room. -There is no parking at all — not in the basement, not in front of the hotel, and not even an open area nearby to park your car. -Even when ordering Careem or Uber, there is no proper place for the driver to stop and pick you up, especially if you have luggage. -The internet signal is not strong. -The price is slightly high. -The number of power sockets is not sufficient. -There is no place or hanger to put clothes inside the bathroom. -No hand shower is available — only the overhead shower.

My recent stay at Le Méridien Makkah was truly exceptional. From the moment I arrived, the level of professionalism, courtesy, and attention to detail demonstrated by the staff was outstanding. What impressed me most was the team’s responsiveness and genuine commitment to guest satisfaction. On the rare occasion that I experienced a minor issue, it was addressed immediately and handled with efficiency and care. The staff went above and beyond to ensure that everything was resolved promptly, always with warmth and respect. The overall atmosphere of the hotel reflects excellence in hospitality. The service standards, cleanliness, and dedication to guest comfort made my stay not only comfortable but genuinely memorable. I am sincerely grateful to the entire team for making my visit such a positive and unforgettable experience. I would highly recommend Le Méridien Makkah to anyone seeking a seamless and distinguished stay in Makkah.

From the moment I checked in until farewell, I experienced first-class service across all F&B outlets, including the Lobby Lounge and All-Day Dining. Hicham, the restaurant manager, stands out as a true hospitality professional meticulous, hands-on, and deeply attentive. I was impressed watching him guide and motivate his team during busy periods; this is exactly what true hospitality should be about, and sadly, what many hotels often lack. Although some of the outlets are not in pristine condition, Hicham made the experience unforgettable by focusing entirely on the quality of food and guest treatment. His courtesy and attention to detail alone make me want to return. I also want to highlight the exceptional service I received from Mohammed Baghdadi, the Rooms Shift Leader. Despite my original booking for twin beds, I requested a switch to a king-size room. Mohammed went above and beyond to accommodate my request, assigning me a room that was clearly renovated and in excellent condition, while the original room clearly needed attention. Spending just two days at the hotel, it became clear to me that Hicham and Mohammed are the true pillars of Le Méridien’s operations, seamlessly bridging F&B and Rooms. Their professionalism, attention to detail, and dedication make a stay here genuinely memorable. Adnan Alessa, Luxury Hotelier Expert

In short, anyone coming for the first time must pay attention to the air conditioning inside the buildings and public transport, it is too low considering that it is very warm outside, you enter inside at a modest 20, the hotel itself has a good location, certainly one of the best for the price they offer, (I mean the proximity to the harem because you don't have to pay for the bus), breakfast and dinner are very modest, unlike the European system, the service is insufficient, you have to call the reception even several times to replace towels and bring toilet paper (they are quick when they answer the phone), but considering the number of guests coming, be patient, you can always read the reviews before booking it.

I am currently staying at Le Meridien Makkah and very disappointed with the housekeeping service. For four days, my room was not cleaned at all. On the third day, I reminded the staff, but nothing was done. On the fourth day, after pointing it out again to the same person, he came within 5 minutes but finished the “cleaning” in less than 4 minutes while I was waiting outside. When I entered, I realized their version of cleaning was only changing the bedsheets. Tissues were still lying on the floor, empty bottles were left untouched, and the sink was messy with water all over it. For a hotel of this reputation, the housekeeping standards are extremely poor. I sincerely hope the management looks into this, as guests expect much better service during their stay.

One of the best Experiences this time at the Le meridian Towers Makkah.. the check in was smooth the bell boy was kind and soft spoken… the lift was always available in spite of the hotel being full booked… the room was serviced daily with vacuumed carpets and steamed washrooms…many incidences where the staff helped upfront .. there was a Saudi staff named HIND..always answers the first call and helped in getting my tasks fulfilled..

Exceptional Stay at Hotel Meridien Makkah – A True Benchmark in Hospitality I recently had the pleasure of spending a weekend at Hotel Meridien Makkah with my family, and I can say with full confidence that it was an experience of the highest standard in hospitality. From the moment we arrived, the reception team set the tone for our stay. The receptionist greeted us with a warm, genuine smile that instantly made us feel welcome and valued. This first impression was just the beginning of a consistently exceptional experience. The hotel’s location is unbeatable — just steps away from the Haram, in a lively, vibrant neighborhood, making it both convenient and uplifting. Our room was immaculate — perfectly clean, thoughtfully arranged, and equipped with every amenity one could need. The attention to detail in cleanliness and comfort was remarkable, ensuring a truly restful environment for the whole family. Room service was beyond outstanding — fast, professional, and always delivered with a friendly touch. The efficiency and courtesy of the staff reflected a deep commitment to guest satisfaction. The crown jewel of our stay was the restaurant on the 21st floor, offering a breathtaking view of the Haram. Mornings here were serene, enjoying breakfast in a space that is not only beautifully designed but also impeccably managed by talented and professionals Said, Hamza, Abdelalim and Mehdi and others, whose professionalism and gracious service elevate the dining experience. In the evening, the illuminated view of the Haram adds a spiritual and uplifting dimension to dinner that words can hardly capture. It is clear that the excellence of Hotel Meridien Makkah — from hospitality and facilities to service and atmosphere — is the result of visionary leadership. I would like to extend my sincere appreciation to the Area General Manager and the General Manager of Marriott Meridien Makkah for fostering such a culture of quality, warmth, and creativity. Your efforts are truly felt in every aspect of the guest experience. I wholeheartedly recommend Hotel Meridien Makkah to anyone seeking not just accommodation, but a memorable, heartfelt, and world-class hospitality experience. I look forward to returning and reliving this exceptional standard of care

5 star only name but definitely not 5 star hospitality hotel. The lobby was very small and crowded. The security was very rude. We are trying to buy some coffee in the restaurant but the security did not allow us to go to the restaurant so we end up talking without anything on the table. What asshamed .... Better change the name with 3 star local brand. NOT WORTH IT ...

AVOID THIS PLACE like the plague... we have booked 4 rooms here and it has been the absolute worst service from ABDUL RAZZAQ the manager and the entire service team not even mentioning the quality of the rooms which are horrendous definitely not 5 star! I have a disabled father who is wheelchair bound - firstly they don't give the right room - Secondly they don't replace for an accessible one which means for 4 days now my father has not been able to use the shower as its a bathtub which the entire team are aware of but absolutely do not care. DO NOT BOOK THIS PLACE YOU WILL REGRET IT

I think this hotel staff went above and beyond during our stay. We were here for about six or seven days during Ramadan 2025, and everything exceeded our expectations. The rooms were always clean, and the staff on our floor were consistently professional and helpful. They made sure we had everything we needed and often checked in to see if we required any assistance. The staff at the lobby were also extremely helpful and kind. One of the highlights of our stay was the iftar and suhoor meal that were included as buffet. It made our lives so much easier, and the food was genuinely delicious. We didn’t have to go out looking for iftar or suhoor spots. Tariq and Hamza working at the buffet were always very helpful. I can’t thank you guys enough for making us feel so comfortable. I can’t wait to come back with my family and stay here inshallah. Most important part is that Le Méridien made our stay during Umrah a very pleasant experience. This is very close to clock tower and walk to Masjid al haram is only 5/max 10 minute because of the crowd. I highly recommend this place. I myself will be staying here when I come back inshallah.

I stayed for one night, the room was freshly updated, they also provided with free dinner (nice touch!), we dined at the 21st floor - small restaurant but very crowded. The room is great, but bathroom needs more renovations with the smell The service is excellent, love the friendliness and very helpful with any needs! Smiles all around! Distance is best! Less than 5 mins walk to the Haram. Will stay here again.

I heard that some booked rooms were reassigned to a different hotel, which is highly unprofessional and very disappointing. Additionally, there were several issues with the service that made the experience uncomfortable: 1. Inappropriate behavior from waiters – Three waiters were excessively flirty. While I was dining with my little sister, they catcalled us, exchanged glances, and laughed among themselves. I expected this city to be a place of joy and peace, but this behavior was far from it. 2. Rude waitress – My little sister was eating and had paused to talk to our parents, but before she could finish, the waitress took her plate without asking if she was done. There was no courtesy, no confirmation—just an assumption that the food was finished. What’s worse, there was still food on the plate, which ended up being wasted because it was thrown away without any confirmation. This lack of basic service etiquette is truly disappointing. 3. Unprofessional cleaning service – While I was in my hotel room with my grandmother, a male staff member rang the bell for cleaning. I told him everything was fine and no service was needed, yet he stood there, smiling and staring at my grandmother without moving until I closed the door. My grandmother and I was scared. Then, on the day of checkout, I was already in a rush when he entered the room while I hadn’t put on my hijab. As I hurried to the elevator, he raised his voice to joke—at a completely unnecessary time when I was clearly in a hurry. This level of service and professionalism is unacceptable. I hope management takes this feedback seriously to ensure a better experience for future guests.

Staying here for five days was rather convenient, near Masjid Al Haram. The room indeed was pretty old but clean enough. The air conditioner was working well but the shower's hot water was not hot enough. The staff was friendly, food was decent not very special though. It was good enough for me. Thank you!

After reading many negative reviews, I was skeptical of staying here. But I was so glad that I did stay here for the reasons below: 1. Much more affordable than other options. 2. Very close to the Haram. 5 to 10 minutes walk depending on the crowd. 3. Clean room. 4. Prayer room option. 5. Good food. 7. Great customer service from everyone. Even though I was there from 24 to 26 of Ramadan, which means extremely crowded.... the staff was very helpful and polite. I am definitely going to stay here again.

The hotel is nearby Haram (5 min walking) but the rooms, beds, bathrooms, appliances, toiletries, hardwares, furniture and fixtures etc. are neither good nor does it satisfy the amount paid. The beds were very uncomfortable and the lights were kind of dim. The charging sockets were very few in number and I had to use the extension plug for the extra sockets. The rooms are very congested as the floor runs short. However the room service guys are good and genuine to help moreover the stay was also good because the city itself is a place of peace.

Ten minute walk from Haram. Beautiful views of Kaaba. The whole staff is incredibly helpful and goes out of their way to make you feel welcome and taken care of. The restaurant on the top floor is very good. Especially the cook who makes fresh omelettes in the morning and prepares hot pasta for dinner and lunch.

Great location. Haram is only a few hundred meters walk from the hotel. I was taking my mom in the wheelchair easily. Comfortable beds and clean rooms. The reception staff needs some training. When I was checking out from the hotel, my mom was thirsty and asked the receptionist if she can have some drinking water. The receptionist rudely replied they do not have water, you better get it from outside. And the fact of the matter is we left some water in our room when we checked out. Our whole good experience turned bitter, and we decided not to consider Le Meridien ever for our stays

The distance to Haram was acceptable...not that far to walk. The rooms were comfortable for 2 but the lifts, though there were six, but they were quite slow in waiting. The food I would give a 4/10...the breakfast menu were on repeat everyday which honestly bore us, thus we'd prefer having breakfast outside. Lunch and dinner were 6/10... bearable to eat but again very little of vegetable, except on the last day! Room service was 8/10...the staffs were hospitable and always asked permission before entering to clean our room. Traffic wise, since it is located by the roadside, it is 24-7 busy with passerbys and guests that checked in and out.

On the first night itself, the pillows and bedsheets were smelling as if someone had pee'd in them. As disgusting as it sounds, there were situations worse than that. Due to the pillows and bedsheets smelling like that, we had to change our room. And let me tell you one important thing, after we changed the room the next day, we were supposed to perform ghusl and head towards The Holy City of Makkah. And the night before that (the same night we changed our room). I went to take a shower, and almost 20 minutes later, the drainage water most probably choked up and started leaking complete sewage waterout in the toilet. Even before I had opened the toilet door, I realized that the digusting sewage water was leaking out of the toilet really fast, and 75% of our "NEW" rooms carpet was soaked in sewage water. If there was an option to give this hotel a review of less than five stars, I think I would most definitely do that.

A very nice and well-maintained hotel. The location is excellent — less than 10 minutes' walk to Masjid Nabawi, which makes it very convenient, especially for prayers. There’s also a restaurant right in front of the hotel that serves delicious Indonesian food, perfect for those looking for familiar tastes. Highly recommended for a comfortable and convenient stay in Madinah.

Disappointing Stay at Province Al Sham My recent stay at Province Al Sham was unfortunately quite disappointing, marred by several significant issues that negatively impacted our experience. One major complaint was the air conditioning. Even after switching off the unit in our room, cold air continued to flow, likely from a central vent, making it uncomfortably chilly, especially at night. This lack of individual climate control was a constant source of discomfort. The restaurant experience was particularly poor. The staff, including the manager, displayed a consistently negative attitude. We felt as though we were being scrutinized for simply eating there, with the manager's demeanor making us feel like we were "eating free food". Furthermore, dining during peak hours was a test of patience, as we frequently had to wait in long queues for around half an hour just to get to the buffet and more time to get the table. Housekeeping was also a significant problem. Our room was not cleaned for two days, and when someone finally did come, the cleanup was a rushed, five-minute affair, clearly indicating a shortage of cleaning staff. Adding to the discomfort, the bathroom ventilation was extremely poor. Unpleasant odors and sounds from the bathroom easily permeated the entire room, likely due to a lack of an effective exhaust fan or proper soundproofing. This significantly detracted from the overall comfort and privacy of the stay. Perhaps the most shocking incident was witnessing a manager shout at an elderly person for simply not arriving on time for a meal. The guest, an older woman, was visibly distressed and didn't even respond. This display of disrespect towards a guest, especially an elderly one, was completely unacceptable and left a very poor impression. Overall, the numerous issues with the air conditioning, the unwelcoming and inefficient restaurant service, the lack of proper housekeeping, the poor bathroom ventilation, and the appalling treatment of a guest by a manager made our stay at Province Al Sham far from enjoyable. I would not recommend this hotel.
Close to Haram. The bathroom has a continuous bad smell in my experience. The bed sheet was dirty.

Some of these reviews are ridiculous, but I might be also mad if I have to pay that much money for my self and get that level of the service, fortunately I was travelling in group which makes the price waaayy more make sense. About the separate dining areas for Arabs and non Arabs, apparently it's common practice - although still very racist, in Makkah as well, but I thought that was based on the price of the room purchased, not the nationality, maybe, it's better that the hotel clarify this so the people aren't feeling discriminated in the holy land. The best thing is location, I can simply jump out of bed and run to the female entrance all in less than 10 min , that's why I would definitely comeback if Allah wills ❤️

Location is 5 minutes from the ladies entrance King Fahd gate and door 21. The hotel lobby was neat and comfortable but the room was small. I had booked a triple room and there was not even space left to put a prayer mat.The furnishings looked a bit outdated and damaged. The toilet was clean but the hold support in the tub was loose which could cause a serious fall. The room service was very slow to respond. The breakfast buffet spread had many dishes but did not cater to all peoples common taste. It could be improved. They have underground parking but the entrance is too narrow with limited slots and was unavailable during my stay. Luckily i could park at the space in the nearby Ritz hotel for Sr 5 per hour.

Location was good. It was nearby the masjid. However, the quality of room, hygiene not up to standard. Especially when you rate is a 4 star hotel. Its definitely not 4 star. More like 2 star. I had to ask multiple times for toilet tissues. Even then they wouldn't refill. We were four people in one room and they found it appropriate to give less towels and toilet tissues. The shower head was not working as it should. Tiles cracked in bathroom. Grouts were dirty. Wallpaper ripped off the wall and head board all scratched. Room service didn't come for 3 days. Bed sheets weren't changed. It was simply turned over. Thinking that we would not notice. Carpets were physically observed to be dirty. When housekeeping came, he couldn't hoover it off. Breakfast was not nice. Skipped breakfast as it was simply not worth eating in the hotel.

Was my experience as bad as what I've seen reviews wise? No it's just about liveable, however it is very close to the masjid. But for your piece of my mind and comfort during Umrah please find somewhere else to stay. During hajj season it does get very busy lift wise!

My experience at Province Al Sham was very satisfactory, unlike some of the other reviews here. It is located at about 10 minutes walk to the Holy Masjid but you have to cross a very busy road on the way. The two rooms that I booked were cozy, well maintained and comfortable. Cleanliness can however be a bit improved. The staff was friendly and cooperative during my 2 night stay there. I cannot comment on the quality of their food though since I didn't try it.

I admit the have a good housekeeping and warm front desk counter staff. But their for their food preparation, this hotel about the worst because of the F&B Manager discriminate and instruct his staff to segregate the meal and food section between Asian and non Asian. As a person who is Asian and working, leaving oversea, bread and butter are our main meal. But our request been deny by their F&B Dept and really humiliated us. The F&B staff even shouted to my friend who also a guest hotel. Because of that I rate this hotel for F&B 2 star only. My advise, please respect your guest. We also human. And kindly educated your staff and management even they have enough "Education". Respect is earn. Please review and revise the way your serve your guest in F&B division.

This was honestly the worst experience ever I couldn't sleep for the 4 nights I spent here. I spent all night feeling itchy. The hygine was atrocious I didn't drink much liquids or eat much food just so I didn't need to use their bathrooms. My room had no lights just 2 lamps but for some decorative reasons 4 switches that were like the staff, absolutely useless and just for display. And let's not go onto the lifts I walked down 10 floors before my family even got a lift. My room, for a family of 4, had only 1 available socket so we had to charge our phones in turns. Any pictures of the hotel are complete catfish it showed slippers and bathrobes and an ironing board it even said complementary water and kajoors in the lobby but non of that was true. Throughout the 4 nights my room was never cleaned and my sheets and towels were never changed but on my first night they stood and my door yelled room cleaning till I woke up from sleep and asked if I needed water or anything and then proceeded to hoover the hallway bearing in mind it's 11pm. Would not recommend this hotel you're better of sleeping on the streets. Am fully convinced that any good review on this hotel were from the staff looking for a raise.

Stayed here five nights. Not at all a 4 star hotel. I would rather say 2.5 star. Rooms are dark and gloomy with no hot water. Breakfast menue is catered for Indonesians and breakfast area is small and tight. Only good thing it's close to haram.

Arrived Thursday evening during Ramadan with my wife, mother and 2 young kids. Room was dirty. Bedding hadn't been changed from the previous guests. Only 2 towels despite there being 5 of us. No hot water. We had to shower in a friend's room. Next day after asking many times we spoke to the cleaner on our floor. The poor guy was responsible for cleaning the whole floor by himself. He cleaned the room, changed the bedding and gave us toilet roll and towels. For the next 3 days we still had no hot water. They would say someone will come up in 20 minutes, making me wait in the room for hours so I couldn't go the masjid. We were told at one point, "Who needs hot water in this hot weather?" When we would ask for a partial refund or some compensation we would get laughed at. They wouldn't change our room due to availability. They offered us a 3 bed room twice over the 2 days which obviously I refused. When I asked if we could keep this room and have the 3 bed room as well as surely they wouldn't be giving this faulty room to other guests, I got shouted at. Eventually a plumber of some sort sourced a new water heater in the middle of the night and fitted overnight. He was the only one who apologised and understood our situation. The reception staff are rude and useless. The management are even worse. The room itself is outdated with worn out carpet. The fridge is tiny. The windows don't close properly. You have to pester cleaning staff to clean the room. They give you one tiny toilet a roll a day and you have to plead for more. Do not stay at this hotel at any cost.
An excellent hotel at the most reasonable price imaginable. Helpful and courteous staff. Highly recommended.
Nice deco in the lobby. Easy access to Masjid Nabawi.
The rooms is good the bath is amazing but there food is gross 🤮

Very good experience, it's very near by Masjid Al NABWI, the staffs are very friendly rooms are good and it's very cheap hotel in that area. I got a room for 150sr after discount and also you can walk in for booking anytime in day or night, other hotels in that area will say you can check in only 2 pm noon.
Good & clean very near to Masjid AlNabawi

Restaurant of this hotel is simple but very neat and tasty food available. Simple and reasonable hotel. 15 minutes walk distance to Masjid.e.nabawi. rooms are average, bath tabs are not well cleaned, stains are present, towel and tissue and room spray are not available on checkin but later provide on demand. No electric kettle with tea and coffee sachet are available as complimentary. Ok. I give this hotel 3 stars only.

Building was fine but the people operating the hotel were lazy and not up to the mark. Bed sheets and carpets were old and worn out. small rooms having 5 to 6 single beds. Limited basement parking is possible but they charge you extra for that. A renovation is much needed.

Nice place. Had a damp carpet smell when we arrived, but it dessipated over time. Toiletries and towels were provided. Refrigerator was provided, though iron and kettle were not. Air conditioning worked well initially, but they may have turned it off due to the cold. No window, so no view, but soundproof room as did not heat anything from the construction site behind it. Restaurant present but did not yet it. Laundry service was good, charging 4 riyal per clothing item. Close to haram. Would not mind staying here again.

We had a wonderful experience with Al Hijaz tours and travels. They made everything really simple and easy from tickets to hotels. They also made sure to remind us when we were to leave Makkah and then again also for our return flight home. I was very impressed with their professionalism. Brother Omer was very helpful before our journey and during our stay in Saudi. I would like to personally thank him for all his kindness and advice.

It was an excellent package that's was given us by Hafiz Ali. Our whole journey to Umrah was smooth and perfect including everything such as; the airline, airport service we were given priority for especial assistant service for my son, the both hotels were great but I like more than Anjum hotel it has high standards of housekeeping. I will recommend to everyone going to Umrah or Hajj to use this travel agency and specifically ask for Hafiz Ali, he knows better how to help families well. Insha Allah I will buy a ticket from Al-Hijaz travel agency whenever I am travelling from now on. Additionally I already recommended my extended family to buy ticket from them and they did it Alaxamdulilahi. Hayat Abdirahman.

Asalam’Alaykum I just came back from an amazing umrah trip booked with al hijaz travel based in Stratford. My travel agent "Hafiz Affan" booked my umrah trip he went out of his way to help in every situation to make our trip easy and smooth. He went above and beyond and responded back straight away when we had a question and any issues I had were sorted promptly I would really much recommend this company for anyone looking to travel to Saudi Arabia to perform Umrah or Hajj. May Allah swt reward "Hafiz Affan" for his efforts with our umrah journey as it was out first time with 2 children and it went smoothly and we enjoyed every single moment and will be Definitely booking again with hijaz travel.

This was our first umrah trip and I'm so glad I booked with AlHijaz Travels. The personal service offered by brother Ijaz @AlHijazTravels was fantastic, right from package options like flights, hotels, payments and transport. I had looked at other online agencies but AlHijaz Travels came out on top for me. 1. I was initially looking for a 4-star package but due to elderly family members I needed hotels that were close to the Haram therefore, I went with their 5-star package with Anjum Hotel in Makkah and Maden Hotel in Madinah. Both the hotels were excellent and a 5 minute walk to the Masjid-al-Haram and Masjid-e-Nabawi. Location, Rooms, Service, Breakfast were all very good. See attached photos/videos for details. 2. Brother Ijaz provided a flawless package, even kindly adding extra family members to my booking and updating the invoices as needed. We spent five nights in Makkah and five in Madinah, experiencing Jumuah in both holy cities. It was truly the best experience, with everything working out perfectly, Alhamdulillah. 3. Transport (Airport pickup/drops, ziarat and Makkah to Madinah) was well organised once I understood the transport company message you on Whatsapp and provide you the driver details and their Whatsapp number. Make sure you get that information before you travel to Saudi so you can let them know about Airport pickup before you arrive. Also, give them 24 hours notice before your local trips in Saudi. 4. You should do your own research with hotels, location and proximity to Haram that will make it easy for you when agreeing a package with AlHijaz travels. They will work with you if you are clear with your requirements. Also, check the flight booking carefully especially the timings and stopover duration. If any concerns you should let them know straight away as flights are tricky to change once booked! 5. I had a couple of feedback comments to AlHijaz travels regarding communication via Whatsapp from Saudi to UK i.e. when you're in Saudi and you want to get in touch with them. They have accepted my feedback and will ensure the changes are made to make our experience seamless in future. To summarise, Alhamdulillah, our first Umrah with AlHijaz Travels was an amazing experience! Brother Ijaz provided outstanding personal service, helping us choose the perfect 5-star package with hotels close to the Harams. Everything was excellent - flights, accommodation, transport, and the ziarat. Inshallah, I will be booking with them again in the future either Umrah or Hajj!

I am currently on Umrah with this company. We departed on 18th December and, insha’Allah, plan to return on the 30th. Positives: Generally responsive during the initial booking process. Knowledgeable about the logistics and formalities of the trip. Negatives: 1. Hotel Quality: The hotels offered were, in hindsight, of poor quality. Many had substandard reviews on Google, and upon reflection, it feels like cost-cutting measures were taken to maximise profits. Despite expressing dissatisfaction with the hotel options early on, I felt pressured to accept them due to having already committed to the package and the company’s insistence that the accommodations were good. About a week before travel, they abruptly changed the hotels, despite having earlier reassured me that my booking was secure. This was extremely frustrating, as I had only ever requested proximity to the Haram and breakfast included in the package—criteria the original hotels met. 2. Makkah Hotel (Palestine Hotel): This replacement hotel did not include breakfast as promised. When I asked about it, I was told it would cost an additional 30 Riyals per person per day for our group of 10—a significant unplanned expense. The hotel was also much farther from the Haram than described, situated at the far end of Ibrahim Khalil Road. Navigating this distance with a wheelchair for my elderly mother was very difficult. If walking is a concern, I strongly urge others to reconsider staying here. 3. Madinah Hotel (Safwat Al-Madina): Upon arrival in Madinah, the hotel had no record of our booking, leaving us sitting in the lobby with 14 large suitcases for over 30 minutes while the issue was sorted. We were eventually given three rooms across two floors (11th and 12th)—highly inconvenient given the slow lift service and completely unsuitable for my elderly mother. The rooms were tiny (see picture), lacked basic amenities (e.g., a shower curtain), had used toiletries (see picture), and had a strong smell of fresh varnish, which is particularly problematic for asthmatics. Also screws sticking out of the door which were dangerous and ripped my wife's sleeve (pic attached). Breakfast was also not included, despite earlier assurances, and dinner—which was originally part of the package—was omitted. On 28th Dec 2024 at 10.30am we were told that we were being checked out and all our stuff will be removed from the room by 1pm and left in the lobby. Upon speaking to reception they laughed in my face. A young lad with an American accent said it's "not his problem" as the agent booked until 28th. 4. Broken Promises: I suspect, though cannot confirm, that my original hotel bookings may have been transferred to other customers for financial gain. Many promises made to me turned out to be empty, including assurances that if I was dissatisfied with the hotel, they would arrange for us to stay in five-star accommodation close to the Haram as compensation. This never happened, and I am now being ignored by the company. Despite incurring significant personal expenses due to these changes, including paying for breakfasts and dinners, I have not been reimbursed a single penny. 5. Visa Issues: The company provided the cheaper e-Visa, which is a visitor visa rather than an Umrah visa, meaning it does not include medical insurance. This was not explained to me during the booking process. I had to pay an additional £148 for proper insurance, as I was travelling with individuals who have long-term medical conditions. 6. Since I put this review up yesterday, I've had no contact at all from the company despite multiple WhatsApp messages - so it looks like I will be paying out of pocket for madina ziyarats too. Additional Notes: The company operates under the name Times Travel Ltd but also trades as Hijaz Travel and, as I have now learnt, under numerous other names. It appears to be part of a larger group. They have been operating for a number of years and yet there are only 165 reviews - alarm bells i wish i had noticed earlier(!) Their website is https://www.alhijaztravel.com/

I recently returned from my Umrah 1st Dec to 11th Dec. Everything was perfect ! Hotels in both locations were close to Masjid. The transport service were 5 star, spacious cars etc. No issue with flights or Visa either. My Umrah was a stress free experience and that's what you want for this kind of trip. Thank you especially to brother Amar, always there when needed and provided everything when required. JazakAllah brother.
