I would like to sincerely commend Abdur Rahman, who provided room service during my stay at Voco Hotel Makkah. I was staying in room 81107, and throughout my entire stay, his service stood out as truly exceptional. Abdur Rahman was incredibly responsive and attentive at all times. No matter the request, big or small, he handled everything with genuine care, efficiency, and a positive attitude. He always made sure our needs were fully understood and promptly taken care of, often going above and beyond what was expected. His willingness to help, calm demeanor, and consistent professionalism made a noticeable difference in our overall experience. What impressed me most was his readiness to assist at any moment and his ability to anticipate our needs even before we had to ask. He carried himself with kindness, respect, and a strong sense of hospitality, which truly reflects the high standards of Voco Hotel Makkah. It’s rare to encounter someone so dedicated and sincere in their role, and Abdur Rahman is a perfect example of excellent customer service. I had a very pleasant stay at voco Makkah, and overall everything was excellent. The hotel is located on the main road, Ibrahim Al Khalil, which makes access very convenient. The check-in process was smooth and well organized. Mr. Faris at the reception was extremely helpful, polite, and professional, which made a great first impression. The rooms were comfortable, the staff were very supportive, and the cleanliness throughout the hotel was up to the mark. I stayed for 8 days with my family, and we felt well taken care of during the entire stay. I have also stayed at voco Makkah previously, and my experience then was equally good. During my earlier stay, the shuttle service was extremely convenient and available at all times, even during prayer times. The shuttle drop-off was at Clock Tower parking, which made it very easy to reach Haram. On this visit, the shuttle drop-off has been changed to Ajyad parking. From there, the walk to Haram is about 5 to 7 minutes, and the shuttle service stops one hour before prayer time. While the earlier arrangement was more convenient, the current setup is still manageable. Overall, voco Makkah is an excellent hotel with great service, cleanliness, and a prime location. I would highly recommend it for families and would be happy to stay here again in the future. Read less

Honestly, this is the best hotel I’ve stayed at. The bedroom had everything we needed, and the beds were incredibly comfortable. The lobby and interior are absolutely beautiful, with a café and a mall downstairs, which made everything so convenient. Stepping outside to see the Clock Tower was such a lovely view, and the hotel is only a 10–15 minute walk to Masjid Al Haram with an easy and straightforward route. The breakfast buffet and dinner offered a great variety of options, and the food was genuinely delicious. The service was outstanding everyone was welcoming, helpful, and always happy to answer any questions. Room service was also excellent, with a separate menu and delicious food. The housekeeping service was excellent. The room was very comfortable ، large space and clean. The food buffet was excellent for both breakfast and dinner, and the buffet service was very good.
It would be even better if there were more Lebanese food options ☺️ The reception staff were very friendly, and there is a shuttle bus every 20 minutes to Al-Haram Al-Makki.
The hotel truly deserves its 5-star rating.

We have stayed 9 nights (4+5) during our stay in Makkah and we had a very good experience at this hotel from check in to check out. Rooms and washrooms were neat and clean. Service was very good, room cleaning, room service everything was top notch. This hotel gives you facility of 5 star hotel in 2 star hotel prices. Economical with luxury. Shuttle is 24/7 direct from hotel to Haram and if you're comfortable in walking you can also go to Haram by walk especially in night time which is around 1.3 km. Pro tip: go to Haram 1 hour before Salah and comeback hotel after 1 or 1 and half hour later from Salah because right before and after salah shuttle can be too much crowded as we have experienced. Update: I have to update my review to reflect what happened after hajj, they decreased the number of buses significantly without considering the number of visitors still staying in the hotel, resulted in long waiting times for buses to come and waiting your turn or keep standing the whole time, this turned the movement to el haram to nightmare specially that haram gate is now shared with people of another hotels and you have to stay in same line with them. Although i was planning to consider the hotel for umrah later, but after this experience i will certainly look for another hotel near to haram as i can't guarantee the buses availability and timing. The hotel is very nice, rooms are excellent. Room service needs to be improved, it is the first time to stay in a hotel where i have to request room service when needed, and i have to specify what they are required to do, and sometimes when i request 3-4 actions, some of them are done and some don't. We stayed for 2 weeks with almost the same food everyday, but they started introducing new staff after 2 weeks. Read less

The moment I opened the door, I was greeted by floors so stained they told their own history, and tiles hosting a thriving ecosystem of fungus — possibly the hotel’s only permanent residents. Water? A rare luxury. The electric kettle sat proudly on the counter, missing its lid like a pirate missing his ship. But no worries — it didn’t work anyway. The power sockets were decorative pieces, just there for display. I tried to charge my phone, but it turned into a waiting game with the electrician. As for the AC? A technician had to come over just to switch it on. "I felt like I’d booked a room and a support team". The room itself was so tiny that when I breathed, my partner inhaled the same air three seconds later. Romance was alive — and gasping for oxygen. Meanwhile, the reception appeared only for sacred rituals like collecting money. Ask for help any other time, and you might as well be calling NASA for support. The Wi-Fi ran at the nostalgic speed of a 54k modem, which was a great reminder of simpler times — like 1998. And every time I tried to enter my room, I had to reprogram the access card. It was less “vacation” and more “escape room challenge.”To top it all off, we were handed a handicap room “just because.” At that point, I half-expected a confetti shower and someone yelling, “Congratulations! Please do not book this hotel! It’s the worst hotel in Medina — dishonest and unethical. I booked through Booking.com 10 days in advance, and a day before arrival they claimed my card was declined. I updated it, but they rejected it again, even though the same card worked fine for another hotel in Makkah. When I called, they confirmed my booking was valid until midnight, but while I was on the way, they canceled it. Upon arrival, they denied everything and blamed Booking.com. I had to search for over two hours to find another, much worse and more expensive hotel. They took advantage of me — avoid this hotel at all costs! Read less
