We had a very good stay at Makarem Ajyad Hotel during our visit to Makkah. The location is excellent and very close to Al Haram. We faced some problems with our travel agency in Morocco (Mekroy Travel), but the hotel staff handled everything professionally and managed to resolve the situation quickly, which we truly appreciated. Special thanks to Ryad, the Assistant Housekeeping Manager, for his kindness and professionalism, and also to Chef Charaf Eddine and the food team for the very good meals throughout our stay. So many reasons to prefer it over the elite hotels in front of the Haram. Firstly, it's a proper 5 star hotel, but not a mega sized hotel, therefore not crowded at all, extremely easy to get in and out of. 5 fast elevators, and I never saw any of them being overcrowded. The location is excellent, about 5-6 minutes walk to King Abdul Aziz gate. The breakfast was one of my favorites, lots of varieties, different types of breads, fruits and veggies, continental, middle eastern, south Asian, east Asian, so many different cuisines to choose from. The rooms were spacious and had amenities like iron, electric kettle, coffee maker, refrigerator. Bathroom was also spacious and had all the relevant stuff. Lastly, the staff and level of service was excellent. The response on our requests was rapid and efficient. Highly recommended. Read less

The dining area was spotless, and the team maintained a high level of hygiene while being friendly and welcoming throughout. Here's a review about my stay at the Ajyad Makareem Makkah hotel: I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Ajyad Makareem Makkah hotel, and I must say it was an incredibly enjoyable experience. The hotel's location is superb, with only a 5-minute walk to the Masjid al-Haram gate, making it extremely convenient for performing Umrah. The hotel staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, particularly Rofiq ,Tofazzul, and Saiful Islam , the housekeeping staff member, who stood out for his exceptional warmth and hospitality. I truly appreciated the service provided by Rofiq and the rest of the staff. The hotel rooms were also spacious and clean, providing a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere during my stay. The facilities provided were comprehensive and adequate. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Ajyad Makareem Makkah hotel and hope to have the opportunity to stay again on my next Umrah journey. The rooms are old, the common areas aren’t very clean, and the reception is chaotic—I waited almost an hour for my room. There’s no parking, the bathrooms smell bad when using water. At breakfast, flies are all around you while eating. For the high price, I deeply regret not choosing the Hyatt Regency next door, which looked much better for a similar rate. However, I would like to suggest that the management provide more staff to assist with luggage during check-in and check-out. When I checked out, I requested assistance three times, but unfortunately, no one came to help. This was quite inconvenient, especially for guests with heavy luggage. The room was clean and bed and pillow were the best !!! well-maintained, and very comfortable throughout our stay. The hotel’s location is also excellent, with easy access to the Haram through the side gate, making it very convenient especially during prayer times. I would also like to specially appreciate the breakfast service team. Even during busy hours, they managed the service wonderfully and always attended to guests with warm smiles and great hospitality. A special thank you to Inayatullah, who was exceptionally kind, always greeting guests with a smile, checking if we needed anything, and consistently being helpful. Best hotel to stay in Madina if you want to be close to Masjid Nabawi, which is just 2 minutes walk from the hotel (Gate 329 of the Masjid). There are tons of great food options on a walking distance to the hotel. Taxi, Madina Sightseeing bus (hop on hop off), pharmacies, grocery, and all kinds of shopping are all very close. We really loved our stay at the hotel. We stayed in a quad room, which was very capacious, clean, and amazing. WiFi is super fast, and buffet breakfast is THE BEST, with tons of options for everyone. Very friendly staff. Kudos to all. We highly recommend this hotel to everyone who comes to Madina. Read less

They allowed us to check in early even when all the surrounding hotels refused, and they even upgraded our room to a suite with Haram view. This is truly the hospitality you get from the lovely people of Almadinah. A special shout-out to our housekeeping guy, Sadam — he was really nice, generous, and honestly the highlight of our stay. His supervisor, Mahabul Islam, was also very professional and made sure everything was perfect. I also loved the variety at breakfast; the restaurant was very clean, cozy, and well organized. And not to forget Lojain from PR at the reception — she was extremely helpful, keen on getting our feedback through the survey, and assisted us smoothly with our late checkout request. I was in the 2nd floor and when i complained they only said what we can do is to change your room! From the reception team to the housekeeping staff, everyone went out of their way to make sure I was comfortable. AVOID at all costs - Misleading 5-Star Rating This hotel is an absolute disappointment and a far cry from the 5-star rating it boasts online. The experience was terrible from start to finish, and I strongly advise anyone considering staying here to look elsewhere. Poor Cleanliness: The room was not clean upon arrival. The bathroom was particularly shocking, with visible grime on the tiles and a general sense of neglect. For a supposed 5-star hotel, this is completely unacceptable. Lifts are a Nightmare: With only three working lifts for a 13-floor hotel, getting anywhere is a major ordeal. What should be a quick 3-minute walk to the mosque turned into a frustrating 30-minute journey just because of the long wait times for the lifts. This is a massive inconvenience, especially for a hotel that caters to pilgrims. Horrible Breakfast Experience: The breakfast was chaotic and unorganized. None of the food items were labeled, so you had to guess what everything was. The egg station had a single, incredibly slow worker, leading to long queues. This lack of organization and poor service makes for a very unpleasant start to the day. Terrible Odors: The hallway on my floor had a persistent and awful smell that was truly unbearable. It made the entire experience feel dirty and unhygienic. Overall, this hotel is poorly managed, unhygienic, and a complete waste of money. There are plenty of other hotels in Medina that offer a much better experience and are actually worthy of their ratings. Save yourself the trouble and book somewhere else. Read less

My family and I stayed at Frontel Hotel for 4 days part of our Umrah journey, the hotel location is fantastic which is closer to the masjid al Nabawi, staff was very polite and helpful, and everything was perfect including the biggest buffet breakfast, the food was delicious. This is one of the best hotels that you can find because it is neat and clean throughout the building, and all the staffs goes beyond to make your memorable experience. Terrible Experience – Not a 5-Star Hotel! Do not be fooled by the 5-star rating — this hotel is barely a 3-star at best. Our first room had visible mould, a broken shower and bathtub, filthy carpets, and layers of dust and dirt everywhere. We requested a room change, but the second room had the exact same issues. The third room was even worse — it started to smell like sewage shortly after we checked in. The entire hotel is extremely outdated, with rooms that look like they haven’t been renovated since the 1980s. This is nowhere near the standard you’d expect from a supposed 5-star establishment. To make matters worse, Alharam Travel (Romford Road, London) changed our hotel last minute — not once, but twice — and placed us in this awful place. Completely unacceptable and disappointing from both the hotel and the travel agency. Avoid at all costs. Read less

The hotel boasts a fantastic location, being near the iconic Masjid Nabawi, which made it very convenient for attending prayers and exploring the city. However, I must admit that the first impression of the hotel was slightly underwhelming. The elevator was disappointingly slow, leading to some frustrating wait times during peak hours. Additionally, the elevator itself was quite cramped, which could be uncomfortable, especially for guests with mobility concerns. One of the highlights of my stay was the food selection offered during breakfast and lunch. While not exceptional, the choices were satisfactory, and the quality was decent enough to start the day with a good meal. I especially enjoyed the Dacidoff coffee sachet provided in the room, which was a delightful touch. Speaking of the rooms, I found them to be quite pleasant overall. The mattress was comfortable, providing a good night's sleep, and I was pleased to find two pillows for each occupant, allowing for personalized comfort. The housekeeping staff was friendly and attentive, ensuring that the rooms were kept tidy and well-maintained throughout our stay. Another delightful aspect of Frontel Madinah was its proximity to a Baskin Robbins cafe near the reception area. It was a perfect treat for a quick dessert after a day of exploring the city or attending prayers. Additionally, the hotel's location also allowed easy access to nearby shopping areas, which was a bonus for those who wanted to indulge in some retail therapy. In conclusion, Frontel Madinah is a hotel with both pros and cons. While its location near Masjid Nabawi and friendly housekeeping staff are definite assets, there are areas that need improvement, such as the slow and cramped elevator. Despite some shortcomings, I would consider staying here again in the future, given its convenience and the overall satisfactory experience during my visit. Read less

All are good. Except one thing is harmful. I was staying in this hotel junior suite room 811 , stay date 28th July 2023. As per picture, you guys can see there is a steel peice has been fixed on the pillar behind the bed. My son was sleeping on bed , during he sleep he turned his hands towards another direction and touched this steel piece, which results cuts on his hands due to this steel decoration peice has sharp edges. You guys can see the blood on the bed of my son. I informed Mr. Khaled the duty manager, they just said one thing. We apologise for this, we will give you discount on your next visit. They don't care about some hurts badly. Read less

This Hotel is Excellent in every way from the decor to customer service is faultless. I have stayed with my family and friends whenever I travel to Medinah, and each time the service has been exceptional Alhamdullilah. I recommend this hotel as it’s a couple of minutes away from Masjid Al Nawabi, directly to women’s gate. Perfect location. You will not be disappointed. We booked a family room with 4 beds and only got two. We had to ask for two more beds which took another 2 hours and even then they were uncomfortable. The carpets were very old, some of the sockets didn't work, the wallpaper was falling off and the service was very poor. The only reason we evenrated it 2 stars was because of its location and convenience. I do no5 recommend this hotel and you should sav3 your money for a better hotel. Read less

An excellent choice if you are looking for a hotel which is very close to Al Haram. The hotel is reasonably clean and the staff are friendly and service is very good . The beds are good but the extra bed was not that comfortable. The breakfast restaurant was packed with many guests even at the start time of the breakfast at 6 am ! Due to the crowds , you don’t feel comfortable as some one could take your table while you’re bring your food. However, the breakfast was very good and there were many varieties. Read less

The staff were not qualified to work in hotels services, food in the resturant just okay no thing amazing. So many problems have in my stay in this hotel. Sanitiser in the lift always was empty. They canceled my reservation without giving me a reason and get back to me. So you can imagine how would it feel like to rest on it with a family. Apart from that, the management is cooperative and helpful. And very much close to gate 16 of Majid nabi saww. The breakfast is awesome consisting of different yogurts, fresh fruits, fresh juices, breads and buns, muffins, donuts, omelets, scrambled eggs, falafel, one main dish, rice, salads, different types of cheese slices and many more.
