This was amazing. We had a great time. The room was clean and the staff were nice. It's also not far from the Haram. Considering this is a 4-star hotel, it feels like it should be 5 stars. Although we met some people in the hotel who had a bit of attitude, overall it didn’t change the rating. The food was great. There was a lot of food and desserts for suhoor (in Ramadan). I also can’t believe it’s a hotel — it’s big and very nice. The bed was comfortable and the couch was comfortable too. The hotel also has a kids' play area, and there are services for men and women, including massage, hair, and nail services, which was very nice. Read less

I had a very pleasant stay at Sheraton Makkah Jabal Al Kaaba Hotel and would gladly recommend this hotel to other travellers visiting Makkah. Although the hotel is located on a slightly hilly area, I did not find this to be an issue at all. In my opinion, the proximity to Masjid Al Haram is excellent with an approximately 5–10 minute walk depending on pace. I also noticed that there is a covered bridge connecting the hotel area to Masjid Al Haram. During my stay, the bridge was temporarily closed, possibly due to ongoing works around Masjid Al Haram, but once fully operational, it will certainly make access even more convenient. The hotel has around 10 elevators which is very efficient during peak times before prayer hours when many guests are heading to Masjid Al Haram simultaneously. This made moving in and out of the hotel smooth and well-managed. The service quality was excellent throughout my stay. The staff were professional, attentive, and genuinely helpful. A particularly impressive gesture was receiving an international follow-up phone call from a hotel staff member today 21 December 2025, checking on my condition and asking about my stay experience. Unfortunately, I did not catch her name clearly, but I truly appreciated the effort to personally follow up with a guest after check-out. Special thanks to our 11th floor housekeeper Mr Saju who was kind and helpful. The connecting bridge was not operational. Walking back to the hotel requires negotiating a steep path at the end. Nice staff, good service, room was a disability room and was very large with comfortable beds and good shower. Only downside was windows did not open at all. A very disappointing experience, in terms of looks and feel the hotel is nice. The lobby always smells nice when entering and there are several lifts to get you to the required floor. The biggest disappointment has been the actual rooms, the electricity has been deliberately wired in a way to make it hard for people to sleep or charge their devices. This means in order to have power to the sockets and charge your devices, you will need to keep the rooms lights on, obviously this makes it so uncomfortable after a long day in the masjid, you just want to come back and relax with just one lamp on and devices on charge to communicate with your loved ones. We also had several issues with our bathroom, with clogged shower & sink drain, and toilet flushing issues. To top it off we had some water leak in the bathroom from the roof, this had me worried as I did not know if this water is clean or not, and could it get mixed electrical wiring and cause a fire. This is clearly not a 5 star hotel more like a 3/4 star. The hotel chain should be ashamed of making things difficult for the guests of Allah, instead of making things easier. Electrical charging points should be a standard feature in any hotel chain, never mind one that classes itself as 5 star. The beds are smaller than expected, especially when compared to the single beds we had at Pullman Zam Zam Makkah. The location is great as it is only 3-4 mins to get to the masjid and is ideal for ladies as it closer to their entry points by gate 339. Unfortunately I would NOT use this hotel again, purely because of the deliberate inconvenience it has caused with its intentional electrical wiring design. Read less

I really enjoyed my stay here. The room was booked for 3 people and all three beds were comfortable. The location was great, you cross the road and the woman’s gate is right there which was super convenient. Plenty of shops around for food/shopping. Breakfast was okay, could be better in terms of variety but not that bad. The hotel is easily accessible for uber which made travelling further out convenient. The staff were lovely and helpful. I would recommend this hotel especially if you are travelling with a lot of women. Read less

While my stay wasn’t bad, I was shocked to discover that the hotel used my name to post a detailed positive review on Booking.com—something I never wrote! (Screenshot of the review they wrote is attached here). This is completely unacceptable and has never happened to me before. It raises serious concerns about how they maintain such a high rating (9 on Booking.com) despite being a fairly average hotel. If this is how they operate, I cannot recommend them. Read less

This place is inside the ring road. Attitude of reception and security is bad. The property insists on payment even if you have the option of free cancellation after so many days claiming they don't have the option of getting the payment using the credit card. They agree to provide you with free parking and turn a deaf ear once you reach. Housekeeping people are dedicated to their work. Walkability to the masjid and to the female praying area are a huge bonus. Asian food options outside the property are too bad. Read less

The rooms don't have charger outlets and for those which are having lamps, if you put your charger it will stop charging once you switch off the lights. Ongoing noises coming from the AC vents, room door malfunction noise, water pipe bubbling from the toilet, it's like you are sleeping in a haunted hotel, once you go out of the room it looks good. The buffet was good, but not authentic cuisine, they had hummus which was not atlal authentic, seemed like you are eating something else . Like who goes wrong with the humus when the chef is arab . Rather than changing the room the kept us 1 hour waiting. The only good thing is the location to Haram but better avoid it as there are plenty of other hotels in the area.
