We had an amazing stay at Swissôtel Al Maqam Makkah and could not be happier with the experience. The hotel has excellent facilities and is extremely well maintained. The staff were genuinely kind, professional, and always willing to help. A special mention to the concierge team, who were consistently helpful and made everything easy for us throughout our stay. Our room was cleaned daily to a high standard, which made a big difference in comfort. We were also very grateful to be offered a very late checkout at no additional cost — a level of flexibility and hospitality that was truly appreciated. Overall, this hotel exceeded our expectations. The bed was extremely comfortable, the bathroom was spotless, and all the amenities were always replenished on time. What really stood out during my stay was the excellent housekeeping service. Very convenient location and very good service. Clean, professional and timely service. When you arrive, your luggage is taken and delivered to your room while you check in. Water, dental hygiene kits, quality soap, shampoo, body wash, hand soap, lotion are provided along with plenty of towels. Cleaners visit regularly to check if you need more water or for cleaning. Low speed wifi is provided. If dinner is not part of the package, it is available for a charge of 120 Riyals, definitely worth it because it is a quality and healthy buffet. Read less

This was my first trip to do Umrah and I was accompanied by my elderly parents. Alhanouf was brilliant at check in recognising this and providing us with a room upgrade with a Haram view and complimentary breakfast. We stayed at the hotel for 6 nights the hotel is a great location for the Haram including having Kaaba views however there were a few things which can be improved. It is also worth knowing there are 2 lifts required to get to your room but the lifts are frequent but busy at times. 1. Our room had 4 beds was to solved in a day or so however no one came to remove the beds so we were very tight on space this was agreed at check in would be resolved 2. We had to ring housekeeping several times for them to bring towels to our room given room clean was not timely. 3. Even after requesting a room clean with the sign on the door no one would come so I would have to tell the housekeeping team I saw in other rooms to clean mine or call reception to get it cleaned sooner 4. I requested a staff member to send some zamzam to my room to which he agreed and it didn't come which is disappointing 5. The check in and check out process was not efficient as there was only 1 member on the front desk and therefore took a while which isn’t great 6. On check out we called 1 hour before we wanted to leave to ensure someone was there to bring our bags and no one came and also called again. In the end we had to go downstairs and only then someone came up with me 7. The breakfast process needs to be smoother by opening all 3 areas to make it easier for everyone the queues are very long and a lot of pushing and shoving which could be avoided. 8. The breakfast drinks are very limited and need to speak to the right people to request proper krak tea. The Moroccan supervisor was great I forgot his name and was very helpful to get us karak tea with milk. 9. When the food runs out on the counter it takes a long time for the staff to refill for example I was waiting for 5 mins for bread to be refilled Read less

The hotel’s proximity to the Haram is incredibly convenient—just take any elevator from the Clock Tower to P5, and you’re right there. Our room with a Kaaba view was beyond words—such a spiritually uplifting sight to wake up to each day. The shared mosque on P9 was another great feature, allowing us to pray in congregation with ease. I strongly suggest booking a package that includes breakfast or half board. The meals were varied, fresh, and perfect for families. What’s more, the pricing often covers two adults and two children, making it excellent value. A special mention to Mr. Mazen at the Front Desk—he made our stay even better. He’s extremely courteous, speaks English fluently, and always greeted us with a warm smile. His respectful and helpful manner really stood out. Mr. Adel at front seat while checkin was very professional, polite n humble with good command over English. Over all excellent staff in all areas. The hotel is in a big mall which opens into the courtyard leading to the grand mosque. Elevators that are common to the mall and the hotel are busy. The hotel has its own elevators that take you down to the haram which are less busy. The food is good. Fresh fruit choice is limited to only apples and oranges sometimes watermelon. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Mohamed took good care of me as I worked on my laptop during breakfast. Thanks Mohamed! I had a truly pleasant stay at Elaf Al Taqwa Hotel in Madinah. I was lucky to be checked in by Turki, one of the friendliest Saudis I’ve met during my omra - genuine, down-to-earth with a real interest in helping and accommodating guests. I had asked for a room on one of the highest floors with a view of Al Haram, which wasn’t possible at first, but to my surprise, Turki called just two hours later to offer one on the 8th floor. That small gesture made a big difference. There was a bit of water noise from the bathroom, but the beautiful view of the Prophet’s rawda made it worth it. The hotel itself pays great attention to guest satisfaction. I received a few thoughtful WhatsApp follow-ups during my stay, and even a personal knock at the door to ask if I needed tea, coffee or water. Turki personally checked again after check-in to ensure everything was fine - that level of care really stood out. The location is perfect - less than a five-minute walk to Al Haram, with views overlooking the Prophet’s Rawda side. That’s a huge plus. The breakfast was also one of the best I’ve had in both Makkah and Madinah - varied, rich, and delicious, all for 60 SAR between 6-10 AM. A Truly Memorable Stay at Elaf Al Taqwa Hotel I had a beautiful experience staying at Elaf Al Taqwa Hotel in Madinah. From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel genuinely welcome and cared for. Their hospitality went above and beyond — every interaction was warm, respectful and professional. The hotel is exceptionally clean, quiet and well maintained with a peaceful atmosphere that’s perfect for anyone visiting the Prophet’s Mosque, which is just a short walking distance away. My room was comfortable and had everything I needed for a relaxing and spiritual stay. What truly stood out was the kindness of the staff. They treated me with generosity and respect and made sure I was comfortable at all times. It’s rare to find such personalized care, and it made a big difference in my experience. I have stayed at hotels all over the world. I stayed at Jumeirah Jabal Omar in Makkah and coming from there my expectations were high, I would like to say that this is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed at. The customer service and staff is phenomenal. Everyone here always has a smile on their face when they greet you and are always ready to assist to help with anything that you need. I would like to thank two staff members who were extremely helpful all throughout our stay Mr. Al Amin at front desk and Mr. Hazrat Ali from housekeeping staff. It was mine and my mother’s first time in Madina and I am so glad that we picked this hotel as it was recommended by my friend who had stayed here previously. It is literally a 2 minute walk to the Haram and 4-5 minute walk to the ladies entrance for Rawda. Also a 4-5 minute walk from ladies entrance to inside the mosque. I would definitely recommend Elaf Al Taqwa to anyone who is visiting Madina and inshAllah when I visit next I will be staying at the same hotel due to their excellent services and hospitality. The rooms and washrooms are super clean, tidy and the food options for in room dining are also pretty good. Definitely one of the best hotels I have stayed at. An absolute awesome experience at Elaf al Taqwa hotel, Every staff member was absolutely brilliant and were always their to help, from the cleaners to the managers. A special mention to Zeeshan who really helped and went above and beyond as my son who has multiple allergies was accommodated for food wise. The hotel is within a few minutes walk of the masjid so a great location. The Golf Buggys line up outside to take you to Masjid Quba. Lots of shops and museums within walking distance. Also parvez was very helpful and respectful. Anything we needed he brought to us and always asked if we needed anything. He always made sure we were satisfied. He also cleaned our room very well, thank you elf Al taqwa and the staff . We appreciate you all and we’re happy we stayed there during our stay in madina. Housekeeping services were efficient, ensuring our room remained clean throughout our stay. The staff was consistently friendly and attentive, making us feel welcome and well-cared for. While it may not have been the most exceptional dining experience, the meals were satisfying and met our expectations. One issue we encountered was the hardness of the beds, which made it difficult to get a good night's sleep.
