The hotel’s location was convenient and made getting around very easy. However, the overall stay was disappointing due to poor room service and housekeeping. The room itself was not well maintained and basic services were lacking. We had to ask multiple times for towels, and they were only provided two days later. Housekeeping also informed us that the hotel only had around 10 towels available for 40 rooms and just one iron for the same number of rooms, which explains the delays but is clearly not acceptable for guests. We arrived at hotel at 2am on 23Feb. We paid for the night on 22nd feb. We got a room on 23rd at 7am. 5 hours waiting in hotel. And the room We gt was a triple instead of what we booked a quad. Mansour the manager is nowhere to b found and all the reception staff abdullah , amira ect continue to say that they will fix room after next prayer well: they brought a 4th bed in a triple room. But the room is too squashed. Why can't We get the Quad room we paid for. And the fact that they gave wrong room and it's already 2 nights of the 6 night. Seems like they not willing to fix. Service needs a shake up. Bathroom cleanliness is bad. As the bathrooms don't seem properly cleaned. Guest relation did finally call aft 3 days to check if all OK. I recently stayed at Emaar Grand in Makkah and overall had a decent experience. The hotel is around a 10-minute walk to the Haram, depending on your pace and how busy it is. The walk is mostly flat, which makes it manageable even during peak times. There are plenty of grocery stores and food outlets surrounding the hotel, so finding essentials or a quick meal is very convenient. Taxis are also easily available nearby, which is especially helpful if you’re heading to Masjid Aisha. The hotel has a good number of lifts, but they can take a while due to the high volume of guests. The rooms are fairly basic, which is expected for a hotel of this standard, but they are comfortable enough for a short stay. The cleaning staff were generally very good and attentive. However, I did have to repeatedly request bathroom cleaning, which was a bit frustrating. I didn’t have much interaction with reception, so I can’t comment much on their service. They also offer a cleaning service for a fee, which takes a couple of hours. Overall, it’s a practical option if you’re looking for a reasonably located hotel close to the Haram with plenty of nearby amenities. Read less

Honestly had one of the worst experiences with staff at this hotel. We had 3 rooms and stayed there for a week. On my first day the receptionist Motaz Ahmed helped me in ensuring that all 3 of our rooms were on the same floor. After that all experiences with the staff were awful. 1. First the rooms handed over to us had no soup, no slippers, no iron, and no towels. Can you imagine walking into a room with all those basic things missing. We tried complaining but the phones didnt work. I had to go downstairs and they provided towels within a few hours and soup, the next day. Still no slippers and iron. 2. Next morning, the tables were sticky and dirty when we went for breakfast/sahour. The staff responsible for cleaning certainly werent doing their job properly. 3. After that when Ramadan started, I had to extend my rooms' stay and it was a nightmare. The people at the reception werent helpful neither was the reservation office. I had to go back and forth for 3 hours to finally get it sorted. Pathetic. 4. Lastly, when we were checking out and needed a bellman, no one showed up for 30mins. Eventually, I had to drag the trolley myself and get my bags downstairs for which they started asking me questions as to why I did it. It’s a nice hotel with good facilities and overall a pleasant atmosphere. But breakfast juices are crap. There were minor problems in bathroom but maintainace team sorted. However, one major issue I noticed is with the management. If you are not Arab, they tend to treat you differently — for example, asking you to sit in a separate seating area, even though we are all paying the same. This kind of behavior felt discriminatory and unfair. I hope the management improves in this regard, because apart from that, it could really be an excellent place for everyone. Read less

Assalamu Alaykum, Unfortunately, I did not enjoy my stay here. The two biggest issues for me were the food and the cleanliness of the room. The buffet looks endless but has no taste. Even the viennoiseries were disappointing. The elevator works well and is easily accessible, and I noticed that the hotel entrance—though a bit dark—is being cleaned regularly, which gave me some comfort. But the room itself was the biggest letdown. From the first moment I entered, it felt dirty. The carpet was not clean, the air was stuffy, and even the bottles of water had dust on them, showing they had been sitting there for a long time. The closet and chandelier were also dusty and not well maintained. To be fair, the bed was comfortable, and the room was spacious enough for three people. However, the lack of cleanliness overshadowed everything else. For me, this was very disappointing, and I would not want to stay here again. Read less

We are currently staying here, in room 430 and we are very pleased with the service we have received from staff in this hotel. The cleaners are very attentive, the restaurant area for breakfast has a good variety of food and different food every few days. The room size is good and has everything you need, a hair dryer, towels and bidet. The location is about 10-15 minutes from the haram, depending on how fast you walk but along the way you get to see lots of different shops, which is nice. I am happy with my stay here. Read less

NEVER EVER STAY IN THIS HOTEL. The only hotel in the Emaar group worth staying is Emaar Andalusia. The rest are not trustworthy. I am inclined to give a one star review right at the time of check in. There are two towers of the hotel and only one deals with the online check in. In the reception there are four check in counters out of which two are unattended. The two functional counters are taking one hour per customer literally. There is a big cue but two counters are unattended and the two functioning are extremely extremely slow. Their computer software seems to be stuck. The deputy manager is relaxing on his computer and is rarely helping people. The hotel does not seem to have the physical availability of already booked hotel. The customers have to wait for very long in the check in lounge sometimes along with their children. Waiting time for an average customer is two hours. There were times when there was only one receptionist as the other one went out for fresh air for a very long time. Pathetic service. The hotel needs to be closed. Only one receptionist dealing with the long cue of customers and taking phone calls. No other person at the reception desk. The lifts are highly unsafe and dangerous. No sensors. Your hand can be squished if you squeeze in. The rooms are extremely small with no double beds. Not recommended to anyone. Read less

I recently stayed at the Emaar Grand Hotel in Mecca, booking a room advertised for five people. Unfortunately, my experience was extremely disappointing, and I cannot recommend this hotel to anyone, especially larger groups. The room itself was incredibly tight for five beds. We were practically on top of each other, and there was barely any space to move around or store our belongings comfortably. This lack of space made our stay very uncomfortable and frankly, quite stressful. Beyond the cramped quarters, the room service was also severely lacking. On multiple occasions, we tried to contact room service, but the phone simply went unanswered. This made it impossible to request basic necessities or address any issues we had. Considering the high price we paid for this hotel, the level of service and the size of the room were completely unacceptable. It felt like we were significantly overcharged for a very poor experience. If you are planning a trip to Mecca and require accommodation for more than a couple of people, I strongly advise you to look elsewhere. The Emaar Grand Hotel's cramped rooms and unreliable service are not worth the money or the frustration. Save yourself the disappointment and book a different hotel. Read less

The hair dryer in the bathroom has such low power that it will take you an hour to dry your long hair with it. The bathroom plumbing was horrific, whenever you run water you can smell of the gutter. I am currently staying here and as I am writing this review i’m waiting for maintenance to come because my room power keeps stopping. We have only been here for two days tonight being the third and i am just honestly so ready to go home, which is upsetting. 1) the rooms are decent sized, as far as i know. our room was for three people so there were three beds. Very standard. However, the windows are broken and you can hear EVERYTHING outside. 2) the toilet smells and is always 24/7 hot. It’s very tight and cramped. and once again like every other review we were only given two towels despite being three people. Normally hotels i’ve been to you get at least two towels per person the second one being a smaller towel??! 3) THE LIFTS. If you want clarity and a peace of mind please don’t even consider booking here! There are so many lifts but there are WAYY MORE people. You can wait for the lift for almost 1 HOUR 4) Lastly the distance. It’s not worth your money it’s a long walk and isn’t “5 minutes”! Frontbif house need better Customer service skills especially the lady at reception who when posed with a problem seems to uses gestures and arrogance as her way to deal with issues. The gentlemen and the service guys are very helpful and pleasant. Having stayed for a few days with several problems and then room changes this seemed to be common as many other guests had the same issue and same broken promises. For a hotel with ample rooms it seemed like they just couldn't be bothered. Broken telephones broken lights , lack of facilities and 1 iron to use amongst the hundreds of rooms and you won't get one for 3 days and even then you only can use for 1 hr, constant trips to reception but all broken false promises. The good things about the place is it is value for money and you could see that once upon a time it was 5 star but now pushing 3 stars. May Allah ease her life. The breakfast is good. The hotel is around 10-12 minutes to Haram. Room is big and toilet is clean.Aircond is superb. Wifi also very fast. Im grateful to found this hotel even is not like the nearest or higher star to masjid.. Its still a good and clean room. Also theres a lot of shop/food along the way to hotel from masjid. Terrible service and hotel management. Booked a 4 persons room, it was terrible as the beds were laid out in a very awkward position that left no other space in the hotel room, we barely had enough space to open our suitcases. The hotel management in general is poor, they don't clean the rooms properly. Everytime we ask for water bottles they either only give 2 or don't give any. We had a minor incident where we needed to check the CCTV footage for our floor, it took 3 days for us to finally get somewhere with this. Hotel manager is rude and walked off as we were speaking to him. The reception staff again is incompetent and does not seem to care about anything. The switches are really strange as the sockets are connected to the lights in the room, everytime u want to charge your phone etc u have to keep the light on which is really really strange. The only thing that was decent was the food. Breakfast and dinner items are always fresh and they change the dishes they make quite often . The tables are cleaned frequently and food gets replenished every time it finishes. Read less

This is a very good hotel compared to the other hotels in the vicinity. It’s located in Ibrahim Al Khalil street, about 1 Km walk from the Haram (about 15-20 minutes walk depending on your speed). I have booked a quad room. It was spacious, clean and doesn’t smell. It had street view, from the 8th floor, beds and linen were clean, bathroom was well maintained and clean. The room is spacious enough for the needs, there is a kettle and facility to make coffee, and there is a small fridge. Electronic card keys work fine with no issues. There is a small wardrobe / hanger for clothes. The single beds and mattresses are comfortable. I would give this room / hotel an overall rating of 8/10. The reception staff are friendly and helpful. Check in was almost seamless with no issues. It did take few minutes longer to check in more than necessary, but compared to other hotels in the region and previous experiences, it was really good. Room is nice bed is nice the location is super good very near to the entrance of masjid Nabawi (gate 333) . My agency booked me a hotel within the same company, and at that previous lobby I was waiting for room, and could see that staff at reception no smile, no care, and concierge were racist and not helpful at all, with crowd and an elevator that go stuck and Engineer that take 20 min to come to fix it, so i got scared and asked my agency to chance hotel, and even if I had to pay some difference I never regret it. The receptionist Abdullah and Abdulrahman had a very good customer care. Lobby even with crowed was managed properly and welcoming drinks was available. Room service options and promotions are to take, no point to eat outside trust me, you pay same at the hotel with good portion and service and very delicious food either broasted chicken, or the meat byriani, so delicious. The breakfast has many options and egg live station, and the manager was going everywhere to check that things are smooth, during crowd today they opened buffet in 1st floor plus the M floor and it was well organized as well. Last and not least, housekeeping in our floor 2nd was good and willing to assist. Again with a genius smile. Thank you everyone for the effort you making. This does not go un-noticed. The hotel is overpriced their service isn't top notch and doesn't give you that luxury feel, they are only charging this much due to being nearer to Haram (10 min walk); the internet service is going to give you a headache (literally it's that bad). The rooms smell of cigarettes and the pillows and bedcovers are just dirty, they don't give a nice feel at all. The pillows are too hard aswell I was literally using the extra blanket in the room as a pillow for the 8 days I stayed here. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this to anyone really, never booking this again. PS. Don't fall for the pictures they have posted, the real thing is quite different. Read less

I feel this hotel in needs to upgrade in many ways as I been told that all rooms have this bath tub showers which is not up dated as a walk in shower is more suited because I see lots of guests elderly and on the bath tub showers one fall or slip is dangerous no rail to hold so hope the hotel changes this. As fir other we are 3 guests and have only two cups fir tea or coffee and when asked I was told each rooms has 3 lol like a joke toilet paper u are given two gir 3 or more people another joke tea bags same 2 3 or more that the amount of tea bags and sugar u get reading all reviews there is lots of improvement to be done overall from management to bell boy ethics service communication and humility I been here and I see lots of tourists but they are elderly they need guidance so staff need to know language and knowledge to handle it care fir elderly people. It was awful. The rooms were a disgrace. I am currently staying at this hotel and there has been constant issues the second we checked in. The entire room smelt of cigarettes despite asking for assistance from staff. We asked to change rooms yet there was the same situation. The bathroom was horrible with mould marks everywhere. Clearly nothing has been cleaned before we came in because the floors and the doors were very dirty. The shower was absolutely disgusting, the water kept falling out everywhere. The toilet seat broke which we had to call housekeeping for and yet there was issues with it. Hygiene levels need to be improved immediately as we felt very uncomfortable from the very beginning. There is very limited supply of products. In a 4 guest bedroom, they only provide one toilet tissue and when asked for more they always get very hesitant. This is for sure not a 5 star hotel it is more a 1 star. Read less

- If cleanliness and comfort matter to you, do not stay here- The only positive aspect of this hotel is its location—everything else was a complete disaster. The staff were uninterested and unhelpful, providing little to no assistance throughout our stay. The rooms were in an appalling state. The bathrooms were outdated, dirty, and barely functional, with showerheads that hardly worked. The mattresses were filthy, and, to make matters worse, several members of our group ended up covered in bed bug bites. The entire hotel had an unpleasant, stale odor that made it difficult to relax. We requested a room change due to a strong fishy smell in the first room, only to be moved to another room where we experienced the bed bug infestation. If cleanliness, comfort, and decent service matter to you, avoid this hotel at all costs. While the location is convenient, nothing else about this place is worth the stay. If I could give it zero stars, I would. It's a shame, because this was once a very good hotel. Read less

I’ve had the best experience in Shaza back in October. I’m very surprised to see the recent negative reviews though. I booked it from booking dot com and had no trouble paying at the property. Our quad room was spacious, clean and new looking. We were greeted with juices and check in was swift. We were also given complimentary fruit platter on arrival. I thought it was a one time thing only but they delivered another fruit platter to our room two days later again which was a nice surprise. The staff was super friendly and welcoming. We got our rooms cleaned whenever we wanted. The breakfast buffet was really lovely too. They have live egg station but no pancakes one. Although pan cakes and french toasts are available in buffet everyday. Karak tea was being offered by a very friendly waiter everyday who made friends with my teenage son and made sure my mum got hot tea every morning. The customer relation desk lady (forgot the name) used to call us on our room telephone to check up on us every day and to see if we needed anything. In short I absolutely loved staying there and will book it again in a heartbeat as it’s only 5-6 minutes straight walk to the gate 333/334/335. Read less

They were ever helpful, always ensuring that everything was spotless and well-maintained. Their attention to detail in cleaning was truly impressive. I stayed at this hotel for six days, and overall, it was a pleasant experience. The room size was good, especially for a group of four. We had a four-bed room, which we converted into a master bedroom, and it provided us with ample space, even for dining in between. The location is also convenient, as it takes around 5 to 6 minutes to reach the Haram. I wouldn’t call it a bad hotel at all, and it served its purpose well for our stay. Read less
