I had an excellent experience with sky direct travel. The agency was professional, attentive and very knowledgeable, which made the entire booking process stress free. Communication was clear and prompt and all parts of my booking was arranged efficiently.

** BEWARE ** I feel compelled to share my experience regarding Sky Direct Travel (Bolton) after witnessing how they treated my elderly grandparents during what should have been a sacred journey in the holy month of Ramadan. My grandparents booked an Umrah package with Sky Direct Travel for £9,010 and were led to believe the trip was ATOL protected, but they never received a certificate. During their journey, the onward flight from Istanbul to Jeddah was cancelled due to airspace restrictions. Despite my grandparents being 79 and 72, and my grandmother having a disability, the company offered no alternative arrangements or assistance. They were forced to return to the UK without accessing any of the accommodation or services they had paid for. Sky Direct Travel has since refused to issue a refund, claiming the booking was not a package and that they acted only as an agent, even though they sold flights, hotels, and transport together under a single booking reference. Seeing my grandparents, who had saved and planned for this spiritual trip, treated in such a dismissive way caused me both anger and deep sadness. The financial and emotional hardship they endured during Ramadan, a time meant for reflection and worship, was completely unnecessary. Sky Direct Travel’s assurances about ATOL protection and package services were misleading, and their customer support offered no help or empathy in a vulnerable situation. I feel genuinely sorry for my grandparents and anyone else who might place their trust in this company. I strongly advise caution when dealing with Sky Direct Travel, especially for elderly or vulnerable travellers.
